As a water-based toner with great value for money, it's perfect for using liberally as an exfoliating toner. It leaves a refreshing finish, making it ideal for those with oily skin to control excess sebum. As someone with dry skin, I found it a bit drying. Although it's marketed as a pore toner, I didn't notice much improvement in my pores. - ga*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessDec 8, 2021
I purchased and used this product myself. Here's my review from December 2021 on a product I bought in September 2020. Skin type: Deep undertone, light to cool summer light, sensitive 22 shade skin. This is a water-based toner that helps manage pores and blemishes. Scent: There's a slight minty aroma with a noticeable alcohol scent. The strong alcohol fragrance might be divisive. Ingredients: Only 1 out of 20 cautionary ingredients, and no known allergens. The formulation isn't particularly concerning. Texture: It's a pure water-type toner, best applied with a cotton pad. Pros: - Cooling effect: As it's designed for pore care, it contains peppermint extract, giving a refreshing sensation. - Lightweight: Being a water-based toner, it's perfect for those with oily skin, especially during summer. - Packaging: The lid is designed for easy, hygienic application - just press a cotton pad directly onto it. - Price: I bought the 500ml size. It's even more affordable during Etude House sales or on platforms like 11st or Coupang. Great value for money! Cons: - Dryness and intense sensation: While the cooling effect is a plus, the combination of peppermint extract and the water-based formula can feel quite drying and potentially irritating. - Irritation: As it's a water-type toner applied with a cotton pad and contains peppermint extract, it can be quite harsh when wiping. - Pore care effectiveness is questionable: Personally, I didn't see much improvement in my pores or sebum. Realistically, once pores are enlarged, they're difficult to restore, especially just with skincare products. - Scent: The strong alcohol scent might not be for everyone. Overall verdict: This could work well for non-sensitive, oily skin types during summer. HOWEVER! For those with dry or sensitive skin, or for use in seasons other than summer, it might be too light, irritating, and drying. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 8, 2021
Great value toner. I soak a cotton pad generously and wipe my face after cleansing. Might be a bit irritating for those with super sensitive skin. - su********Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedApr 30, 2021
The packaging was the best part. It made applying the exfoliating toner so easy. I found that using it right after cleansing to refine my pores worked really well. The downside is... well, there's just too much product! It might sound strange, but I want to try other products, and I still haven't finished this one... In my case, I use this right after cleansing to refine my skin, then immediately apply an emulsion that suits my skin type. I haven't had any issues. In fact, it's helped clear up my blemishes and improved my complexion. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 5, 2021
1. It feels refreshing (surprisingly). 2. The quantity is generous... haha 1. At first glance, I thought it would be convenient, so I bought it, but it's not as user-friendly as I expected. 2. Every time I dispense the toner, it leaks from the sides. It works great as a soothing mask when you soak a cotton pad generously with the toner. - hy******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 5, 2021
Successfully eradicated folliculitis! However, I wouldn't recommend it for those with extremely dry skin. If you have dry skin, you might want to think twice before purchasing. Even with my combination dehydrated skin, it felt a bit drying. It's great for reducing skin heat during summer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 28, 2020
Even after trying all the highly recommended products, my skin would quickly become oily. But after using this, my skin feels refreshingly matte - I love it! At first, my skin had a bit of a reaction, but as I continued using it, things settled down and improved. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 7, 2020
My skin is quite sensitive, so I can't use many other cosmetics besides this one. I switched to this after my usual Clean & Clear toner was discontinued, and I'm happy with it! However, it's a bit unclear whether it's truly effective for acne. I think it's best to use products that suit your individual skin type. As someone with super sensitive skin, finding the right product can be challenging. While this toner works well for me, its effectiveness for blemishes might vary. Remember, what works for one person may not work for another when it comes to skincare. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 7, 2020
It gave me a clean, refreshing feeling. Overall, it's fairly decent. It wasn't a particularly hydrating toner. It's more like a water-based toner. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinAug 25, 2020
The refreshing scent and cooling effect create an invigorating feeling. I love the vibrant blue design, and the large size comes with a pump, making it convenient to use with a cotton pad. I didn't notice at first, but as I continued using it, my pores seemed to enlarge and I started developing blemishes. It could be due to prolonged mask-wearing, but the situation became so severe that I had to stop using it. Now I only use it to wipe my nose after extracting blackheads. I'm not sure about the discontinued version, but for those with super sensitive skin, this product may cause irritation, so I wouldn't recommend it.
