I used to swear by the IO* sunscreen, but recently, using that along with CC cream started causing blemishes. So, I tried this Ceracute sunscreen recommended by my dermatologist. Oh my, it's a holy grail product! While it's not intensely hydrating, it keeps my skin comfortable without any deep dryness. It doesn't cause any blemishes, and its whitening effect makes it suitable as a makeup base too. As a student, I prefer sunscreens with a slight white cast, so this one is perfect for me.
ConsWell, the SPF of this product is 30, which is slightly disappointing compared to the SPF 50 of the IO* sunscreen I used before. But it's not a major issue for me.
TipFor those with dry skin, I recommend mixing in a drop of face oil when applying this sunscreen. It gives your face a natural glow while reducing any feeling of tightness.

It feels mild and non-irritating.
ConsI've been repurchasing this as recommended by my dermatologist for my acne-prone skin. While it doesn't cause any blemishes, it's difficult to apply evenly on my oily skin. It tends to clump and feels dry. Rather than giving a brightening effect, it leaves a pale, almost purplish tint. Even people around me have commented that my complexion looks off...

If applied well, there's no white cast and it gives a soft-focus effect, eliminating the need for a separate makeup base. It doesn't irritate my skin at all, so I'm using it without any issues.
ConsI searched on Hwahae and was shocked to find it's loaded with parabens. Even though it's a dermatologist-recommended product and I haven't experienced any irritation, I thought this would be my holy grail. Unfortunately, the ingredients list is quite disappointing...
TipIf you pat it on gently in small amounts, the white cast isn't too noticeable.

It seems to be incredibly gentle. Doesn't cause any blemishes and is more hydrating than I expected.
ConsIt feels a bit stiff when applied. If you dislike white cast, this product might not be for you. The absorption isn't great.

It actually made my skin look a bit brighter, which I loved. My sensitive skin is prone to small blemishes, but this product didn't cause any issues. It's reassuring to know that this is the same skincare used in dermatology clinics after treatments.
ConsHowever, I'm a bit disappointed to find out it contains various parabens. Now I'm torn between continuing to use it or not.

I've gone through four tubes already! It's gentle, moisturizing, and gives a natural brightening effect, which I love.
ConsI never imagined it would contain so many parabens... I'm shocked!
TipDon't be stingy when applying sunscreen

Plus, it's gentle enough for sensitive skin types.
ConsThere's a slight white cast, so you need to blend it in well.

Most sunscreens, regardless of their ingredients, would cause immediate itching and irritation. However, this one is different! It feels incredibly gentle, with no irritation whatsoever. It's like a breath of fresh air for my sensitive skin!
ConsWhile it's described as matte, and it's certainly less greasy than other sunscreens, it still leaves a slightly dry feeling and has a bit of a white cast.
TipThe white cast isn't too noticeable once you've applied it properly. After application, I found that gently patting any areas where the product had accumulated helped to blend it in nicely.
