It really works wonders - goodbye excess oil and sebum!
ConsIt's so drying... Seriously, it's incredibly drying. Even with my oily skin, I can feel the deep dryness.

I've tried the black soap too, and while it left my skin feeling soft, I've found myself sticking to this one. It's really helped clear up my acne. They say sulfur is good for acne, and I think that's true!
ConsIt can be a bit drying, especially around the eyes in winter. However, if you follow up with a good emulsion, your skin becomes super smooth. I think there's no better cleansing product out there. I used to avoid soap because it stripped too much oil, but since discovering iHerb, I've been using this regularly!
TipIt might be drying, so make sure to replenish moisture after use. Personally, I use Stridex pads to remove any remaining impurities, then follow up with an emulsion cream.

Their skin improved dramatically in just a month! Later, I used it when my own skin was acting up. Apparently, sulfur has pore-cleansing properties! So I used it diligently when unexpected blemishes appeared. I highly recommend this for those with oily skin! As I originally had dry skin, it was too drying for me. If you have dry skin and want to try it, make sure to follow up with intense hydration! Anyway, this soap helped me when I had breakouts. While it didn't visibly clear up my skin as quickly as it did for my sibling, it did reduce the size of blemishes. I also used salicylic acid treatments, but this soap definitely contributed to the improvement. Of course, I alternated its use to avoid skin irritation. I wouldn't really recommend it for dry or sensitive skin types. However, for oily, blemish-prone skin, I highly recommend it!
ConsThe extreme dryness is a major drawback. Also, after not using it for a while since my blemishes had cleared up, I tried it again and my skin turned red and felt hot where I had applied the lather. This sensation lasted for at least an hour. Because it worked so well for my sibling, I'm giving it 4 stars, but personally, I'd like to give it 3 stars. Those with dry or sensitive skin should be cautious!
TipProlonged use of sulfur can thin the skin. While I'm not sure exactly how long is too long, using it consistently for about a month (or 2-3 times a week) seems to be fine. Adjust the frequency and duration according to your skin condition!

Since I have some blemishes on my back and chest area, it's great for exfoliating without much effort. I lather it up, apply it, wash my hair, and then rinse my body. The dead skin cells come off smoothly without having to scrub hard. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.
ConsIt's too drying for winter use, so I only use it in summer. Here's a surprising discovery - if you wear silver jewelry or use silver products while using this, you'll see your silver turn to gold! Unfortunately, it's just discoloration. I didn't realize it at first and thought my body was having issues.
TipSince it can be quite drying, it's better suited for summer use rather than winter. Avoid using it with silver products. Create a rich lather and leave it on for about a minute before rinsing off. However, you should gently massage it while washing. If you don't, the areas you didn't scrub might feel slippery when drying off, possibly due to residual sulfur ingredients.

I don't think it's a cured soap. When I first started using it, I felt like it had some effect on my blemishes, but by the time I was almost finished with it...
ConsDryness. Not much effect on blemishes... A different, more moisturizing sulfur soap might be better.
TipI think it's best to avoid cleansers that cause dryness, regardless of your skin type...

Within just a few days of use, new blemishes stop appearing and existing ones gradually diminish in size.
ConsDue to its soap-like form, it requires a bit more careful handling. The distinctive sulfur scent doesn't completely disappear after cleansing and lingers slightly. (Additional note) After continued use, I noticed my skin becoming red, sensitive, and seemingly weakened, so I stopped using it. It's advisable to avoid frequent use.

I usually have very oily skin, but when I use this, my face doesn't get as greasy even in the afternoon.
ConsIt's extremely drying. It completely strips away all moisture, making my face feel tight and shriveled. While using this, my eye area became so irritated and painful that there were times I could barely open my eyes.

Even when my skin is acting up, using this soap doesn't make it worse, which suggests the ingredients are relatively gentle.
ConsIt can feel a bit drying in winter. During colder months, I only use it for evening cleansing.

The scent isn't bad either. For a natural soap, it doesn't seem to soften quickly, so it should last a while.
ConsAfter using this soap, my blemishes did decrease, but my skin became extremely dry. My cheeks, nose tip, and around my mouth became particularly dehydrated, requiring constant reapplication of moisturizer. Without it, my makeup just pills.
TipIt's probably better to use it once a day rather than too frequently.
