Surprisingly, my skin didn't feel dry after cleansing. It lathers up really well, creating a rich foam. Great for sensitive skin, as it's gentle and non-irritating. The scent isn't overpowering, but it's a bit unique. It might be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of fragrance. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 4, 2020
It lathers up better than expected and seems to have good cleansing effectiveness While the scent isn't unpleasant, it has a distinctive fragrance that might not be for everyone - yu******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 8, 2020
I'm leaving another review after using it for about two months...! Please check out the not-so-good points too. If sulfur works well for your skin, give this a try... Since I started cleansing with this, my blemishes have significantly reduced...! I've been so stressed about acne that I've tried everything under the sun. I even went to a traditional Korean medicine clinic for herbal remedies and got laser treatments, but nothing changed, so I had just given up. If only I had known earlier that sulfur works so well for my skin... I'm almost done with one bar now, and I've been using it morning and evening every day. I love that it's not irritating to my skin. Plus, its cleansing effectiveness is truly impressive. I use Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation, and I do a first cleanse with this soap, followed by a second cleanse with Round A'round cleansing foam. Before, when I used to double cleanse with just Round A'round, I felt like my makeup only came off after the second cleanse. But with this soap, it feels like everything is removed just with the first cleanse. My skin used to be so oily it was like a oil slick, but now the oil is gone to the point where I wonder where it all went. The absolute best thing is that I'm not getting new blemishes... After using it for about two months I've used about two and a half bars of this soap. When I was using the first bar, I was in tears thinking, 'I've finally found it, my holy grail soap...!' But after finishing two bars, it's like everything's gone back to how it was before. There's no effect anymore, and if anything, I'm getting more breakouts... Farewell, sulfur soap. Since I started cleansing with this soap, my skin feels a bit dry. It was fine at first, but now, a month into using it, I've noticed that my skin, which has been super oily for over 10 years, feels tight and cracked if I apply my usual light layer of skincare. But I guess I could just apply a more robust skincare routine... If only it would stop the blemishes... I feel like those with super sensitive skin or dry skin should be careful when using this. If you start to feel dryness, I recommend using it only 2-3 times a week. Innisfree sells a face mask with sulfur in it. That's good too! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 29, 2020
When using this product, I create a lather, leave it on my face for about a minute, and then do a rolling massage. 1. Excellent at removing excess sebum 2. It really brightens up my complexion 1. Only available for purchase on iHerb 2. The sulfur smell... it'll be your unwanted bedtime companion that night 3. It's quite drying! 1. Given its potency, daily use is a no-go. As someone with super sensitive dehydrated skin, I use it once every two weeks. 2. Be careful - they say if metal accessories touch your skin after using this, the color of the accessories can change - gh**********Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 9, 2019
For a bar soap, it gives a clean and refreshing feeling. Knowing it's prescribed by a doctor provides peace of mind. I'm not sure if it would be suitable for those with very dry skin. Being a soap, it seems to strip away even necessary oils. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 21, 2018
Excellent cleansing effectiveness with minimal irritation. You can actually see your blemishes calming down. The downside is that it can be drying. Make sure to follow up with your skincare routine. The scent is not particularly pleasant. Use in moderation for best results. - im*****Combination SkinAcne SkinDec 7, 2017
It lathers up nicely. I bought it on my dermatologist's recommendation, and I think it's pretty good. The downside is that I don't think it's quite suitable for those with dry skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 8, 2017
It effectively removes dead skin cells while also not causing any major blemishes, so I've been using it consistently As far as I know, it's only available through international shipping, so you need to buy it in advance before you run out - bj*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinAug 26, 2017
Highly recommended for oily skin! It really works wonders - goodbye excess oil and sebum! It's so drying... Seriously, it's incredibly drying. Even with my oily skin, I can feel the deep dryness. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinAug 10, 2017
I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, dry U-zone, and dehydration issues. My forehead was constantly plagued by stubborn closed comedones! Even after changing my skincare routine and switching to a low pH cleanser, those pesky bumps would reappear just when I thought they were gone, causing me so much stress. But amazingly, after consistently using this soap for my morning and evening cleanse, I noticed the closed comedones starting to disappear! My friends even commented on my bare face, saying the bumps were gone! Plus, my T-zone is definitely less oily now. If you're struggling with oily skin and closed comedones, you absolutely must try this! Since my U-zone is dry, I did feel some tightness after washing. However, it's definitely less drying than other soaps. The only downside I can think of is that it's not very well-known in our country, which might make purchasing a bit inconvenient. After using your foam cleanser, gently cleanse with this soap as well. Make sure to use it consistently morning and evening, and you'll see those closed comedones disappear (it even cleared up my back acne!).
