To be honest, I started using this product with some skepticism, but after just a month, I received so many compliments on how my skin had improved! My skin used to go haywire during my menstrual cycle, causing me no end of stress. While I can't avoid period-related blemishes entirely, I've found that applying a generous amount of this product before bed when breakouts occur makes them disappear within about two days. It feels a bit rich, so I can't apply it in the morning. Also, the scent is rather unusual... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinJun 16, 2017
My skin is quite sensitive and tends to react to most products. Whenever I use incompatible skincare and get small bumps, applying this helps calm them down. I've been in a cycle of trying other products but always coming back to this one, and I've been using it for 7 years now. It seems to work better for treating small blemishes rather than pustular acne. I didn't really find any particular drawbacks. - qw**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresMay 18, 2017
I've tried several sebum control essences and emulsions (from brands like Si**, Cos***, ***derma, and Mary Kay), but this is the product I've found most effective for my skin and actively recommend to others. I've been using it for about 8 years now, since it first launched as part of a brand promotion. Pros: - Easy-to-use pump bottle that can be opened to use every last drop - Semi-transparent white essence with a good consistency - not too thin, applies smoothly, and doesn't irritate (I just learned it contains 5 potentially harmful ingredients, but I plan to continue using it) - I used to have large (non-pustular) blemishes, but after using Mary Kay's Blemish Control line, I no longer need to waste money on dermatologist visits or facial treatments - Suitable for all skin types with excess sebum production, can be used morning and night - Great for seasonal changes or preparing for summer - Initially pricey, but can be purchased at a discount through social deals or acquaintance discounts - When used preventatively, results may vary depending on skin condition (effects may appear more slowly rather than not working at all) - Since it doesn't dissolve sebum, it would be nice if it could also address sebum overproduction (especially whiteheads) While it might be a psychological effect, I personally feel it works for me! It's not a dramatic, instant fix, but I've used it for so long without side effects that I honestly can't think of many downsides. It's not just effective for T-zone oiliness - it also works for acne-prone skin. Four of my acquaintances and I coincidentally started using the Blemish Control line and all of us overcame our acne issues! Some say it comes back if you stop using it, but it's non-irritating even for those with acne-prone and sensitive skin (excluding individual sensitivities to ingredients). The brand company advised that using it with vitamin or brightening products may reduce its effectiveness. I hope everyone experiences the same positive results I did! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 18, 2017
It absorbs well into the skin. After patting it in a few times, the product completely disappeared. The amount is small, so I only applied a little to a small area. I'm not sure if it's effective, as even after using up the whole bottle, I didn't notice much difference. The area where I applied it becomes dry. Also, the price is a bit high. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 21, 2017
I've been using Mary Kay's cleanser, softener, skin toner, and emulsion. My skin was sensitive, slightly oily, and dry, but it's improved significantly. My complexion has noticeably enhanced too. I used to struggle with blemishes, but when I diligently applied the products (even when I felt lazy), my acne reduced considerably and my skin tone gradually brightened. There's a reason for the higher price point. My entire family - aunt, grandmother, aunt-in-law, and I - all use Mary Kay products. The price is quite steep. I expected the ingredients to be exceptional, but that's not necessarily the case... Just apply it consistently... - qu*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 16, 2017
As someone with oily yet dehydrated skin and cystic acne, my super sensitive skin usually can't tolerate most products. But after using this for 6 months, all my blemishes disappeared except for one or two on my chin! Highly recommend! I didn't like the slightly silky texture. Also, the packaging isn't very attractive. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 18, 2016
This product suits my skin so well that I've bought and used two bottles. I used to have quite a lot of teenage-like blemishes on my forehead, but after a friend recommended this, I've been using it for about a year (two bottles), and they've almost completely disappeared. I apply a pump or two to my face before bed after cleansing, and I've seen such great results that I continue to use it with confidence! The only downside is that it's from Mary Kay, so the price is a bit high. But it's so effective that I used it without any complaints! Use a pump or two before bed, and for even better results, try using the spot patch from the same line along with it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 27, 2016
To be honest, I'm not really sure... It doesn't cause any new blemishes, but I don't see any improvements either. I can't tell if anything's getting better. I'm completely clueless about what's supposed to improve. Just apply it and that's it. There are no special tricks or tips to share. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 29, 2016
It's lightweight and I use it before heading to school in the morning. After applying, my skin feels less oily. It contains alcohol, which might be why my skin feels less greasy, but I'm concerned it might not be the best for my skin's health. Great for summer use - Hwahae UserOily SkinFeb 20, 2016
It feels moisturizing and seems to absorb well. As for repurchasing, I'm not particularly inclined. A little while after applying, it starts to tingle and it seems like some dead skin cells are coming up.
