I first bought this palette when it came out in 2016. To be honest, I wasn't initially interested because the colors were quite intense, but I ended up making an impulse purchase due to all the YouTube hype. The pigmentation is no joke - you only need the tiniest amount for eye makeup. There's quite a bit of excess, and the shadows apply more heavily rather than sheerly. Apart from the purple shades, taupe, bone, and champagne colors, the palette leans quite warm. At first, I didn't dare use the purple shadows (or the orange pumpkin shade), but after owning this palette for 6 years, I've gotten comfortable mixing the deep brown with other shades for eyeliner. Like everyone else, I'm not a fan of the velvet case. As for the price: when I bought it, it was $50 CAD, but now it's $60. In my opinion, while this brand used to be really popular in North America, it doesn't seem to have the same appeal these days. - py******Combination SkinRecommendedDec 7, 2020
Ah... The color composition is truly the ultimate. This eyeshadow palette was one of the most memorable in my life. The combination was perfect and incredibly versatile. The pigmentation was absolutely beautiful. It's the kind of product that makes you happy just by opening it. I was truly delighted to have found you. There's one critical drawback though. The shelf life is only 6 months... It was a short but intense half-year. As someone who strictly adheres to expiration dates, I had to let it go without regrets, but it left a lasting impression. I wish they would release a more affordable version. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 23, 2020
The color payoff is outstanding! It has versatile shades suitable for everyday wear, as well as some beautiful red tones perfect for creating a statement look. The palette also includes some shimmery eyeshadows, which are great for adding a touch of sparkle. The pigmentation was so intense that it was challenging to control the color application. Additionally, it's disappointing that the velvet case is prone to color transfer, which can be messy. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 23, 2019
The color payoff is amazing! It has great staying power even without using an eye primer. Easy to blend and suitable for both warm and cool skin tones. Due to its high pigmentation, I recommend tapping off excess and applying gradually. The included brush is a bit thick, which can make application slightly inconvenient. - he*******Combination SkinRecommendedJan 26, 2019
Pigmentation: The color payoff is unrivaled by any other eyeshadow. It applies true to pan and sits vividly on the skin! Blending: It blends smoothly without any stiffness. Softening the edges is incredibly easy, and mixing different shades results in a seamless finish without any patchiness! Excess: As with any highly pigmented eyeshadow, some fallout is inevitable... This palette does have some, but it's mainly with the matte shades. The 4 shimmery shades have comparatively less fallout! Adherence & Longevity: It clings to the skin beautifully. The shimmery shades, in particular, apply smoothly and set perfectly. Using a primer amplifies the staying power even more! Color Range: When this palette launched in 2016, it revolutionized the eyeshadow market, which until then was dominated by brown shades. It brings together everything from rusty oranges to burgundies and pinks. It includes muted, wearable everyday colors as well as unique shades for more striking looks. I think it's an absolutely perfect composition! Included Brush: One side of the brush is decent, but the blending brush side is absolutely terrible... I recommend not using that part at all. Availability: I bought mine from Sephora when I was living abroad, but it's definitely more expensive and harder to find in Korea. I wish Anastasia would officially enter the Korean market! - so*********Combination SkinRecommendedNov 28, 2018
The color payoff is surprisingly beautiful compared to how it looks in the pan. It has a nice mix of shimmery and matte shades, and the pigmentation is excellent. Despite having more fallout than Urban Decay palettes, I find myself reaching for this more often. The color selection is even better. The included brush is completely useless. Just toss it out. Due to the excess fallout, I swipe it on the back of my hand first before applying. Even with this extra step, the color payoff is still great. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 5, 2018
The color payoff is incredible! I don't think I've seen a matte eyeshadow with such vivid pigmentation and smooth application. If you use the colors skillfully, they look absolutely stunning. I purchased this from Sephora in the US, but the inconvenience is that you'd need to order it from overseas if you want to buy it in Korea. Some people say the included brush isn't great, but I find that if you use the softer part of the brush to sweep across your lid, it applies evenly without clumping, even though the shadow is highly pigmented. I think it works well! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 17, 2018
I always had a ton of brown eyeshadows, but this palette with orange and purple as the main colors is unique and beautiful. The pigmentation is soft and applies smoothly. The 'Love Letter' shade doesn't show up well. Also, the velvet case is a magnet for dirt - once it starts getting dirty, there's no stopping it. - ji**********Combination SkinAcne SkinDec 19, 2017
The color payoff is truly amazing! And the quality of the built-in brush is pretty decent too. The case has a velvet finish which gets dirty easily... While the pigmentation is great, there's some excess powder fallout, so you need to tap off the brush before applying. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 27, 2017
The colors are absolutely gorgeous, and the pigmentation is fantastic. Usually, when you buy a palette, there's at least one shade you end up not using, but with this one, every color is beautiful. The brush that comes with it is pretty much useless, to be honest. There's a bit of excess powder fallout, but if you tap off the excess before applying, it's not really an issue. I didn't find it particularly bothersome. Just go ahead and buy it, you won't regret it.
