Applies smoothly before makeup, allowing for flawless application. It's a hydrating balm that acts like a primer. Provides a natural brightening effect. Has a lovely, subtle lily-like floral scent. Requires careful amount control - using too much can cause makeup to separate. Contains some potentially allergenic ingredients, so not recommended for those with super sensitive skin. After applying serum and before makeup, warm a small amount in your palms and gently press onto your face for best absorption. - yo********Dry SkinRecommendedFeb 7, 2020
Even with just a small amount, my face becomes incredibly moisturized. I have extremely dry skin, and when I use other cosmetics, my skin often gets dry, flaky, or develops fine lines. However, with Glow Balm, I just melt a small amount in my hands and massage it in. It keeps my skin hydrated almost all day long. The price might be a bit steep for some, but I believe this product is worth every penny. - or*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 9, 2019
Once you try it, you can't live without it... It's absolutely amazing!!! The best part is you hardly ever need to touch up your makeup - it's a real lifesaver! I first tried it when I got a sample with my Armani foundation purchase, and now I always make sure to buy it before I run out. It's become an essential in my makeup routine! Why isn't this more famous? Honestly, it's just so, so good. This might be Armani's best product! You should use it like a primer! The key is to use a small amount and apply it thinly, as if you're melting it into your skin. If you remember that, you can't go wrong! I know many people say it's tricky to get the amount right, but don't apply it like a cream. If you use it correctly, you'll have found your holy grail product! Even when I'm wearing a mask all day, I only need to touch up my nose once when I finish work. When I travel, my friends retouch their makeup 5-6 times, while I only need to reapply my lip product once or twice. My friends tried it and were so impressed that they all bought one at duty-free on the way back. That's how charming this product is! There are no downsides! Many people say it's expensive, but since you use such a small amount of this balm, I feel like it's actually quite affordable for how long it lasts. Use a small amount! Really, just a tiny bit is enough. I use about the size of a small 10-cent coin for my entire face, and that's plenty! I actually use this with Armani foundation. Since they're from the same company, I think there's a synergy. It seems to work best with foundation - when I've tried it with BB creams or cushions, the effect of the Glow Balm seems a bit less noticeable. The key to using the Glow Balm is not to overdo it. Apply your skincare products moderately, then use a small amount of Glow Balm, melting it into your skin. Then apply your foundation! For an even better result, spray some mist on your sponge and reapply the foundation. This time, really work it into the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 21, 2018
While I usually finish my skincare routine with gentle products like Zeroid or The Simple Barrier Emulsion, my makeup always seemed to break down faster compared to when I use this balm. That's why it's become an indispensable item for me! For those who experience pilling, here's a pro tip I learned: Since it contains moisture capsules, take the right amount on your palm, rub your hands together to create friction, then gently press and wrap your hands around your face. This method prevents pilling! I heard that the friction from your hands helps burst the moisture capsules, allowing the product to work its magic. The price is quite steep... But honestly, that's the only drawback I can think of! - jk********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedApr 26, 2018
It applies so smoothly and lightly without any stickiness - I love it! Makeup goes on beautifully over it too. I'm wondering why I didn't buy this sooner... The price is quite steep, unfortunately. Since it's in a jar, I feel like it might run out quickly if I use a spatula to scoop it out. The amount you get for the price seems a bit low. - yu*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinMar 20, 2018
I don't usually use primers, but I tried this one for its hydration and glow effects. While I'm not sure about the hydration, it does give a subtle glow. The balm-like texture made it difficult to apply smoothly. It was hard to figure out the right amount to use - too little and it pills on the skin, too much and it makes your makeup slide. Also, it feels a bit greasy. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 20, 2017
I've received a lot of compliments on my skin since I started using this. Highly recommended for those with dry skin! If you don't apply it carefully, your makeup can really pill. It's tricky to get the application just right. - 1t*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 28, 2017
As someone with oily skin that tends to get dehydrated, I tried this toner based on a recommendation and was amazed to find that my foundation didn't transfer! If you've ever been annoyed by makeup rubbing off on your phone screen, I highly recommend this! It's lighter and more hydrating than other balm-type products, and when you apply this before your foundation, it leaves your skin feeling wonderfully moisturized. It even helped my makeup last longer without needing many touch-ups! The price is quite steep. It's a bit more reasonable if you can get it duty-free. I think this would work great with the Prima Long-Lasting Perfector! It does a beautiful job of covering pores. If you're concerned about texture and have very oily skin, try applying this first, then melt a small amount of the balm and pat it on - it works wonders! - za******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 27, 2016
Pros: Achieves an even complexion. The rose fragrance is lovely. When used together with Crema Nera Acqua Pantelleria, it maintains hydration and creates a synergistic effect. Makes your skin look fantastic - that's Armani for you! Cons: Applying too much can lead to makeup removal or pilling. Use a moderate amount, about the size of a dime, and massage it into your skin as if it's melting in. A bit of technique is required when applying. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 21, 2016
There's a real difference between the days I apply this before makeup and the days I don't. I highly recommend it for those with oily skin who struggle with makeup staying put. It's skincare, but does it also work like a primer? Despite being a balm, it's not greasy at all. If you have oily skin, you absolutely must try this! First off, the balm texture makes it a bit challenging to apply smoothly. The ingredients aren't particularly impressive either. If you apply too much, it feels like it might pill. For best results, spread it as thinly as possible to prevent pilling and achieve that skin-hugging effect.
