I bought this as a summer shampoo for my oily scalp. It seems to be a gentle product that's not irritating. The cleansing effectiveness is also on point! Even though it's summer, using it daily might dry out the scalp, causing some itchiness. So I alternated it with another shampoo.

It really strips away the excess oil, leaving your scalp feeling refreshed. The scent is like natural aromatherapy oils - a bit bitter and cool. It might be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of fragrance, but I personally enjoy these types of scents. However, it doesn't lather well, so you end up using more product. Also, it's not in a pump bottle, which is slightly inconvenient. (Though this packaging is probably better for recycling and aligns with Aromatica's brand philosophy, so it's understandable.) Since it's so effective at removing oil, it doesn't help make your hair softer. Your hair feels stiff even while rinsing, so you'll need to use a generous amount of conditioner afterwards. Well... this is really a matter of personal preference depending on your scalp type. The fragrance is fresh and subtle, which I really like. It's comfortable to use. Many shampoos irritate my scalp, but this one doesn't cause any discomfort, so I've made it my go-to. There's nothing particularly disappointing about the product itself. I bought this because it's said to be a life-changing shampoo for oily hair. The case looks sleek and pretty in the bathroom, and it seems to control excess oil well. The container is inconvenient. It's a refreshing and invigorating shampoo. The cleansing effectiveness is decent, and it's not too harsh on the scalp. The scent might be hit or miss for some people. It tends to spoil easily if water gets into the bottle.

I thought the deep cleansing would make my hair stiff, but even on days when I'm too lazy to use conditioner, my hair feels softer compared to other shampoos. Come to think of it, I haven't had any blemishes on my scalp since I started using this. Strangely, Aromatica products I use in the bathroom tend to change color and become cloudy over time. My personal theory is that it might be due to fewer preservatives? I'm trying to stay moderately positive about it. After finishing three bottles of the rosemary version, I tried the cypress one for the first time. I'm really satisfied with it! The scent is lovely, and it provides a deep cleanse. It seems to work even better for my scalp that's prone to dead skin cell buildup. The Aromatica shampoo bottle has a slight issue - the product tends to leak from the cap. This is the best Aromatica shampoo I've tried! I love how it's refreshing and controls oil just right. It's also great at managing dandruff. Unlike the tea tree or rosemary shampoos that made my hair stiff and prone to falling out when washing, this one is much gentler! For me, it didn't require a heavy-duty conditioner - a leave-in treatment or hair emulsion was enough to do the trick. Like with all shampoos from this brand, it's a bit odd that you have to buy the shampoo on Hwahae and then go to the official website to purchase the pump separately. I wish Hwahae would offer the pump as an add-on option.
