It lathers well even with a small amount, and leaves your hair feeling soft and manageable, not stiff! The texture is quite sticky, making it a bit challenging to create lather initially. You need to work up a good amount of foam in your hands before applying it to your hair. - wa********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsApr 12, 2025
I wasn't sure what 'softening shampoo' meant, but I can definitely feel my hair becoming softer The cleansing effectiveness doesn't seem particularly strong, and it doesn't lather up very well. The scent is also a bit ambiguous, so I'm not really a fan... - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedAug 5, 2023
The fragrance is lovely. It could be a perfect shampoo for women to use! You might get tired of it after using it for a while. It's a scent that's better suited for winter use. - em*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRednessMay 7, 2023
It lathers up incredibly well. The cleansing effectiveness is also quite impressive. The scent... it's such a cheap cherry smell that I can't get used to it every time I use it. - mh*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 16, 2023
The fragrance is lovely, and it lathers up beautifully. It leaves my hair smooth and soft, taming any frizz. After checking the ingredients, it seems the surfactants aren't plant-based, so I'm a bit hesitant to use it with my children. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 17, 2023
Great for color-treated hair and relatively affordable within the Aveda range. I'm quite satisfied with it. To be honest, other Aveda shampoos were just okay for me, but I find myself consistently using this one. However, its cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly outstanding. You can find it at a good price at Sephora. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 16, 2022
It feels light and not burdensome after shampooing, which I really love. It's truly perfect for daily use! The scent is quite divisive. It's strong at first, but becomes subtle after drying your hair. - fo**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 22, 2022
The fragrance is lovely. I was considering repurchasing just for the scent. It does leave my scalp feeling refreshed, but as a scalp treatment, the ingredients are just average, so I'm not sure it's worth it specifically for that purpose. However, I can't give up on that beautiful scent, so I'll probably use a hair essence along with it. The price is an issue, and the longevity is extremely weak. Despite claiming to have natural ingredients, when compared to other high-quality shampoos available these days, the formulation isn't particularly impressive. The scent only lasts for about an hour or two after drying, and after about three hours, you can smell your natural scalp odor again, with no trace of the shampoo fragrance left - even after using conditioner! - ll**********Normal SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2022
The cleansing effectiveness and lather are great. I love Avène's unique spa-like scent. Perhaps due to the quality ingredients, there's a slight scalp odor after work. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJan 6, 2022
I think it was pretty decent for the price. The scent isn't bad, and it lathers up well. There's nothing particularly disappointing, but it would be even better if the price was a bit more wallet-friendly.
