Ameli really knows how to create colors that cool-toned folks will fall for. One of these is Hush Pink. I was captivated by the images full of fair pink tones and bought it, but on my face, it didn't quite give the same effect. When applied as eyeshadow, it initially goes on with a whitish tint due to my skin tone, but after a few brush strokes, it builds up to its true pink color. It has an incredibly cool and fair undertone! There's not much shimmer, so it gives a soft look without being too much. That's why I also use it well as a blush. For arm swatches, I compared it with Dior's Rosy Caprice and Clinique's Ballerina Pop on either side, and it's truly a strawberry milk pink with fine shimmer! For case color comparisons, I put Ameli's Ballerina and Ranunculus on either side, along with Rom&nd's Blueberry Chip, and the true pink really pops! The hand swatches are in order of Hush Pink - Blueberry Chip - Ranunculus. While it's not a 'use for life' product... I'm giving it five stars simply because the color is so pretty! There's nothing particularly bad. Using eyeshadow is just about enjoying new colors! For these fair, soft colors, they don't immediately show up vividly when applied to the eyes. It works better to lightly even out your skin tone with a base color first. It also helps control the oiliness from foundation! Even for blush application, I found it looked prettier when applied after setting with powder!
