I used this product on the recommendation of my pharmacist due to my atopic dermatitis There wasn't really anything disappointing about it. It was an incredibly useful product - wj*****Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 6, 2025
I've been using this for about 3 years now. Although it's called a balm, the texture is similar to a regular emulsion and I love that it's not too heavy. When my skin feels dry, I slather it on generously at night, and after washing my face the next morning, I notice the dryness has significantly improved! The scent is a bit disappointing. It's not exactly unpleasant, and to be honest, it's close to being fragrance-free. But there's a slight smell that reminds me of wood glue? It's not overpowering, but it's noticeable. Apply this regularly on dry days and your skin will bounce back to health in no time. - du*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 30, 2025
I'm sad this product I've been using consistently is being discontinued. It's great for hydration, absorbs well, and keeps my skin moisturized. It's such a shame it's being discontinued... Please bring it back for sale! - a8*******Dry SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 16, 2024
The hydration is seriously top-notch! I have atopic and dry skin, and I originally bought this for my body, but it works wonders on my face too. It's amazing! My nighttime routine is complete with just an exfoliating toner with BHA, followed by this cream. For oily skin, this might be too much. They say you can use it before makeup, but that's a bit of a stretch... - aa******Combination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 26, 2024
The product absorbs well and provides excellent hydration, which I really love! There's not really anything to complain about. Oh, except that it's an imported product, so it's expensive and has been discontinued, unfortunately. - ha*********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 25, 2024
It's incredibly moisturizing! Works great for my combination dehydrated skin! Better for winter than summer! Those with oily skin might find it a bit too rich. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedMar 1, 2024
Neutral. It has a rich emulsion-like consistency, but it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry even when used alone. It has a rich feel, so it might not suit those who are concerned about oiliness. - tl******Combination SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 31, 2024
I've been using this product exclusively for 5 years now. When I studied abroad in Europe, I sought out products that were easily available there, and this one stood out. I love it because it's gentle and not too runny. I'm also using it as a body emulsion. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey... I stock up during Olive Young sales. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJan 13, 2024
It gives such a luxurious glow, like you've just stepped out of a hot spring. You look beautiful even without base makeup, just applying this product alone. Personally, I don't dislike the scent, but it's definitely one that people either love or hate. Apply your base makeup after the emulsion has dried a bit, otherwise it might pill. Alternatively, gently pat it with a damp puff for a more natural, less sticky glow. - ys*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 2, 2024
I used this well as the final step in my winter nighttime skincare routine. Though it's called a balm, it's quite fluid, making it easy to apply. It absorbs well and gives my face a nice glow, which I love. I was initially hesitant after checking the ingredients on Hwahae, but I've used about three tubes without any blemishes! It has a slight scent reminiscent of wood glue. It's the same fragrance found in the Trixera emulsion, but it's neither headache-inducing nor overpowering. I've been using both the Trixera emulsion and balm together without issues! For my night care routine, I first thoroughly hydrate my skin with Avène Hydrance emulsion. Then, I apply an appropriate amount of Trixera emulsion, followed by small amounts of Trixera balm, allowing each layer to absorb well.
