I used this as an essence after toner, and I loved how it had a moisturizing emulsion-like texture that left my skin feeling hydrated. As someone with combination skin, I found it perfect for fall and winter use. The price point is indeed a bit wicked for buying with my own money... I received it as a gift, and it turned out to be a product I was extremely satisfied with. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinNov 22, 2020
Though it's a serum, it absorbs quickly and lightly like a toner. It's no different from a toner. In fact, it's significantly inferior in quality compared to the skin emulsion from the same Expert line. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 3, 2020
Incredibly moisturizing, and after applying, it truly overflows with hydration, leaving your skin soft and supple. It's one of my holy grails! Once you start using it, you simply can't stop. The price is a bit steep, which is a drawback. Perhaps it's due to the volume compared to other products? When applied after cleansing, you can really feel your skin transforming. It seems buying it at duty-free shops is the most advantageous option. - gy*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsMar 19, 2020
The watery texture provides excellent hydration with a wonderfully moisturizing application! It seems to be a great match for my extremely dry skin. It applies smoothly without any stickiness and appears to absorb well into the skin. The price is absolutely wicked... It's painfully expensive. I made the decision to buy it, and at first, my skin texture seemed to improve. However, after using it a few times, I didn't notice any significant effects. I'm not sure if there were any real changes or benefits. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 15, 2019
Great for dry skin! It really locks in moisture effectively. There's a slight feeling of increased elasticity right after application (though that might just be my personal impression). It's a real skin-saver that deeply hydrates while creating a protective barrier on the surface. Especially perfect for dry, cold seasons. It's all good, except... It's all good, except... unfortunately, it doesn't agree with my skin. I use many other Barby products, but after using this one, my face completely broke out. That's why I came looking on the Hwahae app. I couldn't find any negative reviews on Naver, but the ingredient list shows an allergy potential of 4... much higher than other products. I must be having an allergic reaction. It's not like this is my first time using it - I've always bought it periodically when my skin wasn't at its best. I guess as I'm getting older, my skin is becoming more sensitive... It's such a shame. - hj****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 16, 2018
I'm not sure if quick absorption is always good for the skin, but this product absorbs well and seems effective for deep dryness. It's great for applying cream and makeup right after. The price is quite steep, and the consistency is like a thin emulsion. If you pump it twice on your face, it runs out too quickly. I wish they'd use an unscented formula or natural fragrances. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedSep 19, 2018
Without this in winter, my makeup just falls apart! I apply a layer before my moisturizer, and it makes my skin so firm! Even in summer, I use it for important occasions. It's not heavy, so you could easily use it daily even in warmer months. The price is truly wicked, but it's so good that you end up buying it anyway! Make sure to buy it at duty-free shops... - pu*******Combination SkinAtopic SkinApr 9, 2018
It's very hydrating. I don't like applying thick layers of cosmetics, and my makeup tends to pill easily, so I apply a thin layer, especially in the morning. Even with just a small pump, it spreads easily and thinly over my face, leaving it moisturized. There's almost no oiliness, and right after application, you can feel your skin being replenished with moisture. It's so hydrating that you might not even need to apply cream afterward without feeling particularly dry. While I'm not sure if it significantly improves makeup adherence, it does an excellent job of providing a light but definite layer of hydration between toner and cream. As for the scent, while I prefer unscented products, this one isn't bad. The price is quite steep. I'm currently using a gratis sample I received when purchasing a few eye creams during a Bobbi Brown promotion, so I hadn't given much thought to the cost. Like other Bobbi Brown products, the ingredients aren't particularly skin-friendly. While I'm satisfied with the product itself, there are many other serums available with better value for money and superior ingredients. So, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this specifically. - lo*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 20, 2018
Bobbi Brown may have some questionable ingredients, but honestly, they have so many great products. I've been using this for about 4 years now. First off, the texture is light and absorbs well. It quickly sinks in and leaves your skin feeling slightly hydrated, though you might want to layer something else on top for extra moisture. The best part is there's no deep dryness after application. It gives a sense of locking in hydration, making your skin feel somewhat bouncy. It's not an anti-aging miracle that'll erase wrinkles, but it does seem to gently combat skin aging. You know how they say good hydration slows down aging? That's the vibe here. I think it's perfect for people in their mid-twenties to start using. To be honest, after using it for so long, sometimes I wonder if it's still working. But whenever I skip it for a few days, I notice my skin starting to sag a bit, which always brings me back to it. The price is definitely the downside. But I plan to keep using it until I get even older! In winter, mixing it with a facial oil seems to boost its moisturizing effect. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 28, 2018
It absorbs well and I've never experienced any blemishes from it. I was relatively satisfied with the product during the time I used it, so I repurchased it. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it...
