Here's my review of the Cellmular Vitadecona Gel: It has a medium consistency but doesn't feel sticky. It contains azulene and is great value for money compared to other gels like Dermaflora or Sidechick. I'll try to give you a detailed breakdown. Texture: Medium weight, good hydration. Much better than typical aloe gels. Uses: 1. As a wash-off mask after cleansing 2. When using facial tools 3. For at-home cryo-like treatments It helps reduce heat and doesn't have that evaporating, drying feeling that I disliked in Dermaflora gel. Sidechick gel felt too empty for me - not plumping or hydrating enough. Pro tip: (I have extremely thin, pale, sensitive skin) I put it in a pump bottle for easier use. Apply your skincare as usual, then pump some gel onto your fingertips and pat it all over your face before moisturizer. Mix it with a rich cream to create a hydrating cream. Unlike other gels, this actually blends well and doesn't just sit on top. In the morning, if your skin feels dry, layer toners, apply this gel, then moisturizer. It really helps lock in hydration. You can reapply this throughout your routine without it pilling, which is great for my thin skin that doesn't absorb products well. On exhausted nights, I mix a generous amount into my sleeping pack for extra hydration. This review is based on the price point. I always consider value for money in my reviews. Mixing tips: Cream + this gel = hydrating cream Sleeping pack + this gel = more moisturizing sleeping pack Use after other skincare (except cream) for extra hydration Great for use with facial tools Doesn't evaporate or cause dryness when layered on top of other products (good for very thin skin) Not recommended for use early in your routine Note: Be careful with the amount if you're applying makeup on top. It doesn't exactly sit on top like silicone-based products, but it can interfere with makeup if you use too much. I recently bought this for around $50, though it was more expensive initially. I'm not expecting people to specifically seek out this product, but for my followers with thin skin who respond well to azulene: If you're looking for a versatile gel for various uses and want good value for money, this is worth considering. It's best for those who do some at-home skincare. If you only use very basic skincare, you might be disappointed. It's great to use right before the final step of your skincare routine. Even just applying a bit on your neck feels nicely hydrating. It's a staple for home skincare enthusiasts. Highly recommended for those with thin skin who find most gels feel empty (except wash-off masks). I'm not sure how satisfying it would be for those with thicker skin. Don't set your expectations too high since this is my first time recommending a product to buy. Also, I wouldn't recommend it to those who only use very cheap skincare products. While $50-60 seems like a great deal to me for this product, it might seem expensive if you're used to $7 ampoules. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 2, 2018
I started using this when I got blemishes. It feels very gentle, like applying an aloe soothing gel. Although it's a bit pricey, I recommend it since it's a product used in dermatology clinics. It's suitable for sensitive, combination, oily, and dry skin types. It has calming and antibacterial properties. It's a bit disappointing that it's fragrance-free, and it dries quickly, so you definitely need to apply a moisturizer or emulsion on top. I mainly use it when I have blemishes, acne breakouts, or during the summer months. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 21, 2016
As it's a soothing gel, I apply it cool for a refreshing feel. I know it contains aloe, so I use it when my skin feels dry. However, if I only use this, my skin tends to feel a bit dry later as it dries. So I replenish moisture with this, then add a touch of oil to prevent the hydration from evaporating. Keeping it in the fridge is great for hot summers, and it's wonderful for cooling down the skin when it feels heated!
