I bought it because the packaging is so pretty! It's great for improving skin elasticity and feels refreshing to use. It might be a bit disappointing for those with dry skin as it's very light. You'll need to apply toner first, then a rich and hydrating ampoule or serum, before using this emulsion. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm thrilled this doesn't cause any blemishes or itching. It's perfectly balanced - not too light, not too heavy, and not greasy at all. Wow, I really like this! It's even more hydrating. The fragrance is lovely too. Compared to the original Carenology, both the bottle and color are prettier, and it comes with a pump. In the morning, I use the original Carenology toner, serum, cream, and oil. At night, I switch to the Sea Holly toner, emulsion, and oil. The price isn't exactly budget-friendly. Make sure to grab it when it's on sale! I recommend buying it from the official website to take advantage of membership benefits. I discovered Carenology through a YouTuber and have been using it consistently. It's great for calming blemishes, especially after dermatologist visits. So, I decided to try their new product too. 1. Texture It absorbs incredibly fast, which I love. After absorption, there's a feeling of skin plumping up, so it felt a bit wasteful to use as an exfoliating toner. That's why I use it as a hydrating toner once or twice. I have dry skin, so I don't often use exfoliating toners anyway. 2. Scent The scent is... well, someone mentioned lavender, but it's closer to the scent of the plant itself rather than a floral fragrance. I didn't find it off-putting; it gave me a sense of healthiness. 3. Effects As I have dry skin, I usually apply toner > emulsion > cream. I use serums depending on the situation. I tried the Sea Holly toner followed by the Sea Holly emulsion. They layer well together due to the good absorption. As the weather gets warmer, I might just skip the cream. What's fascinating about this toner is that it absorbs quickly yet provides rich nourishment. I'm very satisfied. I didn't experience any skin irritation; if anything, it seemed to reduce small bumps. The website mentions 'moisture volume,' and it definitely gives a plumping effect. That's why I feel it works better as a hydrating toner than a cotton pad toner. 4. Packaging It's absolutely beautiful. It looks like a slightly larger perfume bottle. The color and angular shape are unique visuals that I really like. There's nothing particularly bad to mention. If anything, it's a bit more affordable than Carenology's Reblue line, which is nice. The fast absorption makes it great for layering with emulsion, serum, and cream. It fills your skin with hydration without leaving any residue. I adjust my routine daily, adding or removing serum and cream based on my skin's condition. Even with layering, it doesn't cause pilling and actually seems to help other products absorb better! My skin type is combination-oily, but it's also sensitive and combination dehydrated, so I can't just use any product. The Sea Holly Water Plumping Toner is gentle! It's almost fragrance-free too! That's why I think I was able to use it without any blemishes. This toner has a water-like texture, so it's great for soaking a cotton pad and wiping your face, or you can simply pat it in for absorption. They also sent the emulsion, which I used together with the toner. It's incredibly lightweight, feeling more like an essence than an emulsion! It's nearly fragrance-free and absorbs well, so I'm still using it as a light morning moisturizer. However, since I have combination dehydrated skin, I found it a bit too light, so I had to layer the toner twice. Even then, I felt some deep dryness soon after, so I had to apply plenty of ampoule or cream to prevent that tight feeling. While this might be great for those who dislike sticky or heavy products, it was a bit disappointing for me in that aspect. I tried it immediately after washing my face and found that the lightweight texture and clean finish make this toner and emulsion perfect for those with oily skin. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I felt a bit dry using just these two products. So I applied another toner twice before using the Seeholy toner and emulsion. Another thing I loved was the color. Unlike typical emulsions, this one has a unique purple tint, which I found intriguing and different. The fragrance-free formula is great for both those who dislike scents and those who enjoy them. Above all, I adored the bottle design. Unlike standard skincare products, these come in beautiful, identical-sized bottles that look lovely on my vanity. It's a solid choice for daily use, and I'd especially recommend it to students. For my combination dehydrated skin, using just this toner and emulsion left my skin feeling dry. I had to apply another toner at least twice before using these products. I wouldn't recommend this to those with dry skin or combination dehydrated oily skin, especially those with very dry skin! The product is just okay for everyday use, but I didn't notice any significant improvements in my skin's appearance or clarity. Other than that, I can't think of any other drawbacks. If you have combination dehydrated oily skin, make sure to apply another toner at least twice before using this product. Personally, I use my homemade natural toner twice or more before applying the Seeholy toner and emulsion. This method keeps my skin hydrated on the inside while maintaining a clean finish on the outside.

[This review is for using the toner and emulsion together] When I used just the toner and emulsion, I experienced some deep dryness. Even after applying the toner three times, I still feel some inner dryness. I'm not sure if it's actual dryness or just a firming sensation. I naturally have excessive sebum production, which leads to many small blemishes, so I'm not sure if this is helping. As I've gotten older, my skin feels extremely dry and tight in winter, like very dry skin. I'll use it more and update my review later. After about 3 weeks of use, my sister developed some skin issues after just a few days of use. We both used the toner and emulsion! For me, I didn't notice any new issues, but it was quite drying, so I think I'll need to use a separate hydrating cream. My skin is naturally combination dehydrated, so when it's dry, I tend to get small bumps. If I use products that don't suit me, I break out terribly. (I absolutely can't use products with pore-clogging ingredients like stearic acid - even rinse-off cleansers with such ingredients cause immediate breakouts) Try to avoid touching the bottle opening and apply it directly to your face by tilting your head back and spraying to prevent your hands from absorbing too much product.

Hygiene: I love the pump dispenser - it's convenient, no need to touch the product directly, and no worries about dust getting in. Toner texture: It feels more like an essence than a watery toner! It absorbs into the skin very, very smoothly. I really dislike sticky products, but this one has zero stickiness! Also, I think it's perfect for the daily mask routine. Volume: I've been using it for about 20 days, pumping it more than 4 times daily, and it doesn't seem to have decreased much. Effectiveness: I tend to get blemishes occasionally, but I've noticed a definite reduction in their frequency since I started using this product! Scent: Personally, it has a faint scent that makes you wonder, 'What's that smell?' It wasn't really a fragrance I enjoyed. The positives: 1. The packaging is incredibly luxurious. The paper box opens uniquely from the side, which I found interesting. The purple color scheme and glass bottle give an eco-friendly impression. It's beautiful enough to give as a gift, both the outer packaging and the bottle itself. 2. It's a non-sticky, water-based toner. Applying it cool gives a refreshing, cleansing sensation. It's great for wiping and perfect for patting on in layers for extra hydration. 3. They also included the emulsion. The combination of the two works well together. At first, I thought it might be a bit tight on the skin, but I decided to persevere using just the toner and emulsion. Surprisingly, the dry feeling disappeared over time. 1. However, it might not provide enough hydration for winter. After cleansing, I wanted that deeply moisturized feeling, but it felt a bit tight. Given the season, even after layering the toner 2-3 times and applying the emulsion, you might still feel the need for an additional cream to prevent that stretchy, dry sensation. My skin type is combination dehydrated, and I often experience deep dryness. Despite that, I tend to get quite oily, so I prefer watery toners over sticky ones and like to layer lightweight toners. This product has a texture close to a watery toner that absorbs well without any stickiness! When applied, it doesn't evaporate quickly leaving skin dry, but rather provides a light yet lasting hydration! Applying about three layers kept my skin hydrated all day without any deep dryness! My skin has become super sensitive lately, with even slightly irritating products causing blemishes or small bumps. However, I experienced no skin troubles while using this, and it felt incredibly gentle! The packaging is beautiful, and I especially loved that it comes in a glass bottle! I think using this with the emulsion would be sufficient even without a cream in summer! I'm extremely satisfied!! I used this product with great satisfaction and didn't find any significant drawbacks!

I used it with the tapping method, which worked well for absorption. Scent: There's a floral fragrance, but I didn't find it overwhelming. Application: It absorbs well, leaving the skin moisturized without any tightness. Packaging: While the glass bottle is heavy, I appreciate that it's not plastic. It seems to have a calming effect on blemishes around the chin and nose. I'm not sure if it's because my post-menstrual breakouts were already subsiding, but it appears to soothe the skin. The hydration is good when you use the tapping method for absorption. For the toner, use the tapping method for absorption to keep it moisturizing. The emulsion that came with it is also hydrating - apply once and let it absorb, then apply a second time for extra moisture. However, as I have dry skin, I still need to finish with a cream. This product alone might be sufficient in summer.
