The scent is familiar, which is a bit disappointing. It's that fragrance you often encounter in body mists at Olive Young. There weren't really any downsides. It lathers well, and the ingredients are gentle on the skin. - os*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 22, 2023
It has a light texture that's great for summer use. The absorption seems faster than the blue container version. Maybe it's just my imagination, but personally, I find this scent more feminine and floral. I used the blue one well in summer and switched to this for winter. The fragrance is so lovely when applying. It's a scent I've experienced somewhere before. It has the same drawbacks as the blue container version. The disappointing part is that the scent doesn't last long. I tried mixing it with an unscented oil, but it still didn't last. Also, since it's a perfume body emulsion, it doesn't retain moisture for long. If your goal is hydration, you might be better off using something else. This alone isn't enough for maintaining moisture. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2021
Being from a fragrance-focused brand, it has this luxurious scent that's totally my style. It's a blend of peony and musk, and I absolutely adore it since I'm a fan of subtle floral and musk notes. The scent also lasts relatively long! I've heard that body washes or foam cleansers that don't lather much often have fewer or no synthetic surfactants, which is actually better for your skin. This product contains no synthetic surfactants at all, and all ingredients except fragrances are EWG green-rated, making it suitable even for sensitive skin. As it's slightly acidic, it helps balance your skin's oil and moisture levels, and seems to boost hydration and elasticity too. The translucent bottle makes it easy to see how much product is left. The overall bottle design and color are also quite attractive! I tried to find some drawbacks, but there don't seem to be any... At first, I thought it wasn't cleansing well because it doesn't lather as much as other body washes, but then I learned that's actually good for the skin. So, I guess there are no cons after all... You might wonder if it's cleaning effectively since it doesn't lather as much as other body washes, but using a shower puff should create rich foam. Also, you could use a small amount for hand washing to keep your hands fragrant and clean. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJan 23, 2021
The fragrance is absolutely divine! It makes me want to buy the perfume version too. Matilda is an elegant and romantic scent, combining the lush aroma of peonies with a soft musk undertone. For a perfumed body wash, I find the scent disappointingly faint. Perhaps it's just my dull sense of smell, but I have to put my nose right up to it to detect any fragrance at all. It's a bit of a letdown.
