It seems to hold down flyaways slightly better than other down perm products? But the lasting power is almost non-existent Honestly, getting a down perm at a salon is probably the most convenient and effective option - jj*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinApr 21, 2023
Back in 2017, this product was truly groundbreaking. The ability to easily use it at home was a game-changer in terms of both cost-effectiveness and convenience. I just couldn't get used to the smell. It caused a tingling sensation on my scalp, and I didn't see any results. If you have the skills or straight hair, you might be better off going to a salon. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 29, 2023
I purchased and tried the down perm product, and I'm impressed with how it feels to use. Naturally, it's not as effective as getting it done at a salon, but I think with more practice, I'll get better results. - zx******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 8, 2023
The upside is that even if you use a generous amount of the down perm solution, there's still plenty left. If used wisely, you might get two or three uses out of it. I appreciated that they included things like perm papers and thoughtfully provided accessories like a comb, clips, and gloves. The scent is typical of perm products, but it's familiar enough that it doesn't feel too harsh. The down perm doesn't take very well and doesn't seem to last long. Even after thoroughly applying it to the roots, leaving it on for over 15 minutes, rinsing only downwards, and blow-drying in a downward direction, it still doesn't last. Those who experience a lot of volume on the sides or back of their hair might notice a bigger difference, but doing it yourself isn't easy... It's easier to just ask a friend or someone you know to help apply it to the back of your head. - jh***********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 20, 2022
It quickly tames flyaways and helps hair stay in place. It takes about 20-30 minutes to set. However, it doesn't provide complete hold. It simply calms down wild hair and creates a more settled style. Also, if it gets on your skin during application, you may still experience a tingling sensation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 31, 2021
It does stick if you press it on for a while. I bought it because it was available for quick delivery on Coupang. When I use it, my scalp feels a tingling sensation. I think it's because the perm solution is quite strong. Since it's not recommended to use it too often, I'm planning to wait at least a month between applications. You need to leave it on for more than 15 minutes to feel like it's really adhering.
