I was expecting a tight, slightly drying texture since it's a pore-focused ampoule, but wow! It glides on like a hydrating serum and gives such a beautiful glow. It's perfect for daily use. My skin feels improved somehow - softer maybe? Like it's really refining my skin texture. I noticed it's also great for soothing sensitive skin and strengthening the skin barrier. Despite being an ampoule, it surprisingly has some viscosity and feels quite hydrating! The scent is subtle and pleasant. I had high hopes, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to agree with my skin, which is disappointing. However, after using it for about three days, I noticed some redness around my chin and eye area the following day, accompanied by intense itching. I've been consistently using retinol creams, but since my skin is on the sensitive side, it would often peel. However, this product contains retinyl retinoate, which is gentler than retinol. It seems to cause less irritation, and I didn't experience any side effects like skin peeling! The product comes in an opaque liquid ampoule form, and it absorbs quickly even when applied all over the face. As it's an ampoule, it's a bit inconvenient to use on specific areas of the face. If you want to target certain spots but like this product, you might want to try the cream version from the same line. Remember, retinyl retinoate, like retinol, requires sun protection after use. I was expecting a banana scent, but this serum has a delightful blend of banana and orange aromas! The hint of fresh orange pulp is really uplifting. It's a lightweight, hydrating serum with a fluid texture that absorbs beautifully into the skin. Perfect for summer use - it feels light yet keeps your skin nicely moisturized! I've always been the type with thin skin and a tendency for flushing, so I've always been wary of retinol. However, Hwahae did not cause any flushing after application, and instead left my skin feeling moisturized and soothed, making me question if this was really retinol. Upon checking the ingredients, I found that the banana extract is effective in calming the skin, so it helps even sensitive skin use it without worry. Starting retinol with this product seems to have been a stroke of divine inspiration. My skin has become more resilient, with a radiant glow - I'm truly satisfied. My skin is sensitive, but the retinol doesn't irritate it at all. In fact, I want to use it every day. I have sensitive skin that's prone to breakouts, so I'm always cautious when using retinol products. However, the Hwahae Ampoule didn't cause any significant irritation from the first use, and when I applied it, it absorbed into my skin smoothly, leaving a comforting, hydrating sensation. After using it consistently only in the evenings for about 2 weeks, I noticed a visible improvement in the texture of my skin when I looked in the mirror in the morning. The uneven surface has become smoother, and my makeup applies better. The description 'daily low-irritation retinol' really fits this product. It felt light to me, so using it with cream made it even better! I think it would be better to use it in the summer๐
