This product offers great value for money, and the quality is surprisingly impressive. First off, it works really well for me. The texture is just right (it's closer to an essence than a typical cream). It's gentle on the skin with a slight soothing effect. When I apply it before bed, the hydration lasts throughout the night (it feels like it's replenishing moisture deep within the skin). So far, I haven't found any downsides. However, I'd prefer to buy this as an essence or toner, and I'm interested in trying a richer cream for my moisturizer. This review highlights the product's effectiveness in providing lasting hydration and its gentle, soothing properties. The reviewer appreciates the unique texture that falls between a cream and an essence. They suggest it might be better categorized as an essence or toner rather than a cream, indicating they prefer a thicker consistency for their moisturizer. - hi****Combination SkinRecommendedJun 21, 2025
The ingredients are great, and it applies so well - I'm surprised there aren't more reviews! ๐ I really hope more people give this a try! It contains houttuynia cordata extract, which is fantastic for soothing the skin. The texture is light enough that you can use it even in summer without feeling weighed down. For winter use, you might need to apply a second layer for enough hydration. When your skin feels hot in summer, try storing this in the fridge and applying it cool - it seems to work even better that way! - aa******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 9, 2025

During the summer, I tend to purchase this moisturizing cream. It has a texture similar to a hydrating gel cream, with a subtle scent reminiscent of houttuynia. As a moisturizing cream, it applies with a hydrating feel and leaves a soft, moisturized finish. The hydration is not heavy or sticky, making it suitable for use during the summer. The 120g large-sized cream costs less than 10,000 won, and the ingredients are also good. The tube packaging makes it convenient to use. I used to buy the 60g size, but this time I purchased the larger 120g size. It seems that an even larger 300g size would also be suitable. - cw****Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 4, 2025
It's non-irritating and for a gel cream, the moisturizing effect lasts surprisingly long. The quantity is generous and the price is affordable. If you buy a large size, it's perfect for using comfortably from spring to summer without any worries. It's slightly sticky and might cause some pilling when used before makeup. - sa********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 1, 2025
It absorbs really well and the cream itself is lightweight, making it pleasant to use Due to its lightweight nature, it's not suitable for standalone use at night, but it's great for morning application - ha*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 27, 2025
This cream offers incredible value for money. It applies smoothly, provides great hydration, and is perfect for sensitive skin. It's an excellent choice for daily use. While I don't have any specific complaints yet, if I had to nitpick, I'd say it doesn't provide any dramatic or extraordinary effects. Nevertheless, it's still a good product. - ap*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 25, 2025
The houttuynia cordata extract is great for soothing millet rash. The price is really affordable, making it perfect for everyday use. It absorbs quickly like a hydrating moisturizer. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, applying two layers kept my skin from feeling dry, which has been great for the current weather. After application, I felt a burning sensation. It wasn't irritating or causing redness, but there was a slight warmth? My eyes felt a bit stingy. I thought both products might be the issue since I was using the same line's houttuynia cordata toner, but when I used just the toner with a different cream, it felt better. I guess this cream doesn't suit me (the toner seems similar, but less so). Looking at Hwahae reviews for the Dermafactory houttuynia cordata toner, I saw one person mentioning a warming sensation. For me, it was especially noticeable with the cream. Please keep in mind that while the houttuynia cordata line can be good, it might not suit everyone! - kl******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 14, 2025
If you're not sensitive to houttuynia cordata, this is a great go-to product. The translucent formula doesn't cause blemishes or irritation and leaves skin feeling soft. While it may not have dramatic visible effects, it's excellent for soothing and hydrating the skin. For those with dry skin, this might not be moisturizing enough as a final step. To maintain long-lasting hydration, you'll need to either layer another moisturizer on top or mix in some jojoba oil for added nourishment. - ap******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 14, 2025
Dermafactory... I love it so much, I really do! I used to use La Ro*** Cica Balm in winter, but as the weather got warmer, or maybe after my skin barrier recovered a bit, I started getting blemishes. I have oily skin, and I noticed more oil production and clogged pores. My skin barrier was so damaged that I avoided water-based products for almost a year and only used the La Ro balm. Thankfully, it helped with recovery, but I started noticing some drawbacks. It felt a bit heavy for my oily skin. So I tried various creams - I must have bought over 6 different brands like Es***, Phyto**, Real***, *dr*, To**, etc. (Oh, my poor wallet...) But they all failed - causing itchiness or breakouts. The worst was when one cream gave me fungal folliculitis. It took over a month of antifungal ointment to clear up those stubborn, itchy bumps. (Even antibiotics didn't work...) Sorry for the TMI! Anyway, I have really problematic skin, but finding Dermafactory has made me so happy. As a student, I don't have much money, but Dermafactory is affordable! Plus, the simple ingredients are great for sensitive skin. I'm so grateful... Now I can finally try a lighter cream instead of just barrier creams. Just being able to experiment feels amazing. Thank you for giving me hope that I can use a moisturizer again. The Houttuynia Cordata line seems to work best for me. I know their Niacinamide line is popular too, but I'm too sensitive to even look at it. If you have ultra-sensitive skin (like me, where water-based products cause instant blemishes), I'd recommend trying the Bezero line or the Houttuynia Cordata line. Of course, everyone's skin is different, but a patch test is never a bad idea. The affordable price makes it great for testing on my skin too. Thank you so much! The only downside is that it's slightly lacking in hydration. That's why I layer some cica balm on my dry U-zone. For my T-zone and other areas, I just use this Houttuynia Cordata cream to finish my routine! I found that using it with the Houttuynia Cordata serum from the same line provides even better hydration. Also, be careful not to apply too much, as it might cause blemishes. It does seem to have a bit of oil content, so oily skin types should keep that in mind.
