The yellow texture and slightly sweet scent remind me of Clinique's yellow moisturizer, though the ingredients don't seem particularly similar... haha. I've been applying it only in the evenings, and the finish feels nice and firm! I've used 1% retinol before and don't get much sun exposure, so maybe that's why I didn't experience any irritation. A little goes a long way, making it truly great value for money! As the weather gets warmer, that firm feeling is starting to feel a bit sticky, so those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy in summer...! For combination dehydrated skin types, consider layering this product with a lightweight hydrating serum for optimal results. Makeup applies seamlessly on top without pilling or patchiness. ▪︎Price: More affordable than most eye creams, and you need to use very little product. As shown in the attached photo, you only need to apply a rice grain-sized amount - much less than you might expect. This means it will last a really long time. ▪︎Irritation: At first, I generously applied it around my eyes and on my eyelids, thinking it was great. However, after a few days, I experienced intense tingling and irritation around my eyes. As seen in the second photo, my eyelids became red and swollen. Even applying toner in that area caused a stinging sensation. I stopped using it for a while until the discomfort subsided. Now, I only apply a rice grain-sized amount under my eyes. While there was skin irritation when I used too much, it didn't cause any eye stinging. Contains a small amount of retinol. As my introduction to retinol products, I could clearly feel the difference between when I used it and when I didn't. Being a functional product, it has almost no moisturizing ability. After applying and letting it absorb, a hydrating cream is essential. If you forget to apply one, your skin feels extremely dry. For those with combination dehydrated skin or super sensitive skin, be sure to layer this product with a hydration-rich moisturizer to prevent deep dryness and maintain your skin's oil and moisture balance.
