This is a lightweight oil I purchased to add to my hydrating cream, as moisturizing creams tend to be light while nourishing creams are often heavier. Typically, natural oils don't agree with my skin, and I've only found success with mineral-based products like mineral oil or petroleum jelly. I decided to take a chance on this product. As other reviews mentioned, it absorbs well into the skin and didn't cause any blemishes. However, I haven't seen any remarkable results yet. - ji******Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 11, 2025
This product is great for dry skin types to mix with moisturizers that feel lacking in nourishment. The brand is known for using only high-quality ingredients, which might explain why it has almost no scent and contains a well-blended oil that doesn't clog pores. I've mixed it with various moisturizers, emulsions, and essences from different brands, and it worked well with all of them without causing any blemishes. Given the quality of ingredients, the shelf life is quite short. Once opened, you need to use it diligently. - se*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2024
It's great for preventing blemishes and perfect as the final step in your skincare routine. There's no sticky feeling after application, making it ideal even in hot weather. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey for the amount you get, but there aren't any other notable drawbacks. - rl********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 23, 2024
As I've entered my late 30s, I've noticed dryness around my eyes and nasolabial folds, which has been particularly bothersome in winter. I've been using oils for a few years now, but they felt a bit heavy. I was looking for a lighter formula, and this is absolutely perfect for me! First off, it doesn't cause any itching or irritation on my blemish-prone skin. I add a few drops to my toner to create an oil toner, and I've also mixed it with my cream. The results are wonderfully hydrating. Previously, I used L*'s Tamanu oil for a couple of years, but when I mixed it with cream, it made my skin itchy. I originally bought that to make my own skin oil, but it was quite heavy. I'm planning to stick with this product from now on! I also like that it only contains oil ingredients without any additional components. The price is a bit steep, and the limited availability is a downside. If you can't visit a Sephora store, you're restricted to online purchases. It's also difficult to test since samples aren't provided. I love how versatile this product is. It mixes well with creams and serums due to its light consistency, making it easy to incorporate into various skincare routines. - zi********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 15, 2023
As someone with combination dehydrated skin and super sensitive skin, I've always struggled with extreme dryness on my upper cheekbones during winter, no matter what I applied. But this product has been a game-changer! It completely eliminates that dry feeling. Even though it's described as lightweight, it's still an oil, so I was initially worried about blemishes due to my combination skin. I've been applying small amounts only to very dry areas and my lips, and I'm amazed at how effective it is even with minimal use. This has definitely been my winter skincare MVP! The price is admittedly a bit wicked. However, since you only need to use a small amount each time, it doesn't run out quickly. - ze**********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 6, 2023
This product is surprisingly amazing - I loved it so much that after just a few days of use, I was recommending it to everyone I know. You often hear that using the right amount of oil can actually help control excess sebum and combat deep dryness with just a small amount. Despite this, I was a bit hesitant to use oils due to my oily skin. But I was intrigued when I heard that marula oil is the least sticky of all oils. Originally, even in the dead of winter, my skin never felt tight - I only used 2-3 types of serums/essences without any cream. However, since last year, I started feeling a subtle deep dryness... That's when I really understood what combination dehydrated skin meant. So, I decided to try applying a thin layer of this oil, just a drop or two, at the end of my skincare routine. Unlike other oils, it's non-greasy yet has unparalleled hydrating power. (I bought coconut oil because people said it was good, but it was so sticky I couldn't even use it on my body. Even rosehip oil, which is said to be less sticky, wasn't as light as this.) It's truly non-sticky for an oil. It applies more like a silky serum than an oil, making the skin incredibly smooth and giving the feeling of locking in moisture. I applied it before bed, and not only was there zero tightness, but when I woke up in the morning, my face was glowing and smooth as if wrapped in cling film. It's different from that greasy shine caused by excess sebum production... it's more of a sleek, polished look. I tend to get a couple of blemishes every month, so while I liked it, I was worried it might cause breakouts... But after using it daily for several days, I had no blemishes at all. There was also no skin irritation whatsoever. Although it's pricey, based on my skin's needs, just 2 drops a day is enough, so I think it will last quite a while. While it could probably be used for multiple purposes like hair and nails, I'm going to use it only on my face because it's too precious. Haha! I think mixing a tiny bit with foundation would give an amazing glow. This is definitely a repurchase for me when I run out. If you're struggling with deep dryness and haven't found your holy grail product after trying various things, or if you have combination oily skin but want to try an oil, I highly recommend giving marula oil a try... The rubber cap on the dropper part is a bit loose, causing a drop or two to fall even without squeezing. I'm not sure if this is just an issue with the one I received... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 28, 2022
It's an oil, but it feels incredibly light and refreshing! I think I'll be sticking to this oil from now on. To be honest, there's nothing bad to say. I can't think of any downsides yet - I'm completely satisfied! I apply it right after using a face mask. - dl*******Dry SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 4, 2021
I'm disclosing that I'm a Sephora employee upfront (but that doesn't mean I praise every product just because I work there!) However, this product is truly great! Why? It's made of 100% pure marula oil, which is known to be even better at maintaining hydration than jojoba oil. Because of this, even though it's an oil, it doesn't feel sticky! Also, since none of the brand's products contain harmful ingredients like silicone, you can mix it with other products. So if you have a favorite product that lacks hydration or moisture, give this a try and mix them together. You'll be amazed at how it creates incredibly glowing, radiant skin! Everything's great, except... the price is just wicked. There's a smaller size available, but even that's pricey. I'm using it sparingly, but it's so good that I wish I could use it more generously! I mix it with the B-Hydra serum from the same brand. When I apply it before makeup in the morning, on days when I'm not exposed to too much heating, I can go the whole day without feeling any dryness! - ji*************Combination SkinRecommendedApr 2, 2021
It absorbs well with a lightweight feel, doesn't leave a greasy finish, yet provides definite hydration. The price is a bit disappointing, and it's a shame that there aren't any dramatic effects for this cost. - ch********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 20, 2020
It's truly moisturizing and great for mixing and applying all over. Perfect for using on hair, heels, and elbows during winter. Even though I didn't use it often, it caused a lot of blemishes on my face, so I only use it on my body now. I wouldn't spend my own money on this again.
