The cleansing effectiveness is decent, and the texture is ordinary. However, I really disliked the scent. It smells like petroleum or a construction site. Also, it stings my eyes terribly. It stings my eyes so badly that even when I'm just removing my eyeliner, if a tiny bit gets in, it burns intensely. Compared to the Witch's Pouch cleansing oil which doesn't sting at all, this one is incredibly irritating. - 9g********Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 8, 2025
As someone with extremely dry and sensitive skin, I've struggled with other products causing dead skin cells to build up and leaving my skin feeling less than supple. But with this, I haven't experienced any flaking at all! It comes in a travel-sized tube, but don't be fooled - it's packed with almost as much product as the full-size version! The value for money is excellent. As a long-time Dr.G fan, I feel like I've finally found my holy grail product! What's more, it helps extract blackheads with each use, preventing them from forming as quickly. I had a crucial appointment coming up and woke up with redness on my face. Usually, I'd minimize my skincare routine before important events, but I decided to use just the Dr.G cleansing gel, foam cleanser, toner, and cream. The next day, the redness had faded so much that it was easily concealable with makeup. I absolutely recommend this product without hesitation! There weren't any significant downsides, but if I had to nitpick, while it does smooth out minor texture around the mouth area, it doesn't seem to affect larger textural issues. Before cleansing, wash your hands and dry them thoroughly. Pump the product 2-3 times into your palm, then gently massage it onto your face, focusing on problem areas. Emulsify the product, then rinse thoroughly with water 20-30 times. Follow up with a foam cleanser, then pat your face dry with a towel. You'll be left with baby-soft skin! - lk*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 7, 2024
True to its low pH formula, it's incredibly gentle on the skin. Highly recommended! I'm not quite sure how effective it is at removing sunscreen. Its cleansing power seems a bit ambiguous. - jh*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedOct 5, 2024
I have dry skin prone to redness. Especially in winter, temperature changes or cleansing make my cheeks very flushed. But when I gently apply this oil, it prevents the redness from worsening. While there's less tightness after cleansing overall, my eye area still feels a bit dry. Unfortunately, this product doesn't emulsify. I thought I might be using it wrong, so I came to read reviews, only to find out that's just how the product is. Usually, with oils, you apply them to your face, add a bit of water, and it turns milky as it emulsifies and removes makeup. But this one doesn't turn white even when you add water. It made me wonder if it's actually cleansing properly. It felt a bit unsettling. I typically wear sunscreen with BB cream or cushion foundation, so I always do a double cleanse. Using just this feels insufficient and makes me uneasy. I don't plan to use it exclusively for a whole week. I'm thinking of alternating it with a stronger cleanser for a day or two. - fu**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2024
A major advantage of this cleansing oil is that it's a low-irritation, mass-produced product suitable even for sensitive skin. I use sunscreen daily and occasionally wear foundation, mascara, or lip tint. Having blemish-prone sensitive skin, I'm extra careful when choosing cleansing oils. After thorough research, I purchased and used this one! The feel during use and after rinsing is great. Despite being an oil, it feels light and leaves my skin hydrated after cleansing. I'm already on my fourth bottle after finishing three! It dissolves too easily when it comes into contact with water, which can be seen as a drawback as it makes the emulsification process difficult. From my experience, after oil rolling, it doesn't gradually dissolve when water touches it - instead, it immediately drips off your face. Based on my experience, it's necessary to thoroughly roll and remove makeup before adding water. Because the formula is so gentle and lightweight, it dissolves and runs off very easily with water. It's best to do as much rolling as needed before wetting your face. Rather than thinking of removing makeup during the emulsification process, it's better to approach cleansing with the mindset of removing sunscreen and other makeup products before adding water! I recommend this for those with blemish-prone sensitive skin, or for those who dislike heavy, suffocating oils but still need to thoroughly remove their makeup. - 50******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 14, 2024
As someone who doesn't wear makeup often, I usually use micellar water to remove light makeup. But on days when I need a more intense look, I feel like I need something stronger to properly cleanse my face. Regular oils can be too harsh for my sensitive, dermatitis-prone skin. That's why I was thrilled to discover Dr.G's pH-balanced cleansing oil from one of my favorite brands. This product is so gentle that you can use it even on damp skin, and it doesn't require emulsification. It's perfect for those occasions when I wear heavier makeup and need a thorough yet gentle cleanse. Compared to regular cleansing oils, it might not be as effective at deep cleansing or managing excess sebum. However, as someone obsessed with protecting my skin barrier, I'm quite satisfied with it. While emulsification isn't necessary, I still do it lightly out of habit. It seems to work well either way! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedJun 8, 2024
This cleansing oil is so gentle that even those with sensitive skin can use it. It's perfect for daily use and removes makeup really well. Be careful as it can be quite slippery and might run down your face if you're not careful. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 1, 2024
Great cleansing effectiveness and leaves skin hydrated. I'm pleased that it didn't cause any significant blemishes on my skin. There wasn't much to complain about. The oil residue that's a bit hard to rinse off is understandable given the nature of oil cleansers. - yo*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 11, 2024
The fragrance is truly delightful, and although it's pricey, it removes makeup so effectively that I highly recommend it. However, due to its high cost, if another good product comes out at a better price point, I might switch to that one. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 4, 2024
The fragrance is pleasant and it feels like it rinses off well without leaving residue. Above all, the beautiful packaging lifts my spirits. It stings if it gets in your eyes, and unlike other products, it doesn't seem to effectively remove sebum. It's probably best to rinse thoroughly with water.
