The cleansing effectiveness seems pretty decent, and it rinses out well. Even though it's meant for oily hair, by afternoon my hair gets greasy just like with other shampoos. Plus, it leaves my hair feeling way too stiff. - fk*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 2, 2025
When I bought it, the reviews weren't particularly great, but as someone with oily scalp always on the hunt for solutions, I decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, it's much better than I expected! It lathers well and doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff. There's not much to complain about... If I had to nitpick, maybe the lack of fragrance? Though it's hard to consider that a real drawback. I use this as a second cleanse after another shampoo, so the effectiveness I've noticed in removing excess oil might be due to this two-step process. - su*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsJul 2, 2025
Cleansing effectiveness is top-notch. The jelly texture works exceptionally well. However, since my hair is damaged, it tangles quickly. Some dead skin cells remain on the scalp (even though I have oily skin). Scalp flaking!!!!! Oh my goodness, it's terrible. It also leaves blemishes. My skin type = Combination + Oily. Keep that in mind and toss this product. - yo*****Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 27, 2025
Even though my scalp is super oily, this shampoo keeps it grease-free for about 2 days! I have long hair and usually wash it daily in summer, but in winter I wash every other day. With this shampoo, I can go 3 days without my hair getting greasy. Of course, I did wash it right away after that... Since it's a shampoo for oily hair, it can leave your hair feeling dry after use. However, it's really effective at controlling excess oil, so you can just use a good conditioner to balance it out. Overall, it's worth trying. - so****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 24, 2025
I'm on my third bottle now, including refills! The scent is so pleasant and never gets old, and it lathers up really well. Nothing particularly bad, but for a shampoo marketed for oily scalps, the clean feeling doesn't last as long as I'd expect. Though this might vary from person to person. - sl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 25, 2025
The cleansing effectiveness, texture, and oil removal were great After a while, it seemed to remove too much oil, causing dead skin cells to appear - aw****Combination SkinAcne SkinDec 9, 2024
I didn't have high expectations for the 'jelly foam' aspect, but surprisingly, it lathers up nicely with a rich, creamy texture. The scent is also pleasantly mild. While I was initially impressed by how well it lathered, everything else about this shampoo is a huge letdown. I have zero intention of repurchasing this absolute disaster of a product. Cleansing effectiveness issues: Despite the abundant lather, there's no sense of my hair actually getting clean. Even after washing twice, my hair feels greasy as soon as I start drying it. It leaves my scalp feeling more grimy than the cheapest drugstore shampoos, with absolutely no refreshing sensation. It's definitely not suitable for oily hair types. It's in an awkward position - not effective enough as a first cleanse or as a main shampoo. I'm considering mixing it with a low-lather shampoo for oily hair just to use it up. Oil and sebum removal: As mentioned above, it's a gentle shampoo that fails to remove excess oil. I thought maybe I wasn't cleansing thoroughly enough, so I tried rinsing for an extra 10 minutes or washing multiple times with the same shampoo. The results were always the same. At this point, I don't think it's my technique that's the problem... Dandruff and oil-moisture balance: Oddly enough, this shampoo makes my scalp itchy. When I scratch, I notice some flakes - the kind of dandruff that falls off when you scratch. There's zero moisture balance. Amount: A lot comes out with one squeeze, making it hard to control the amount. The real issue is that even when using a large amount, my hair doesn't feel clean at all! Price: I bought it on sale, but when I opened the box, the volume was disappointingly small. Scalp odor improvement: I didn't have this issue to begin with, so I can't comment on its effectiveness. Sigh... I don't know. This isn't a product where I can offer tips. Instead, I'm the one who needs advice from others on how to make this work. - yo********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 1, 2024
As someone with oily hair that gets greasy quickly, I've noticed a significant improvement after using this product! It really controls the oil, leaving my hair feeling so clean it's almost stiff. The scent is a mix of refreshing and unpleasant... It smells somewhat similar to dish soap. - pf*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedOct 30, 2024
I think I'm on my 7th bottle of this shampoo. There was a time when I was shocked to find both my facial skin and scalp had suddenly turned oily. With thick hair, I really dislike that slippery feeling, so after a few failed attempts, I finally found this product. I'm always worried it might be discontinued, so I always buy two at a time. There's nothing bad to say. I'm completely satisfied with the fragrance, lather, and how it feels. If you have an oily scalp, you absolutely must buy this. - vm*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 6, 2024
The scent is pleasant and the cleansing effectiveness is decent. The lather is moderate - you might need to wash twice for that truly clean feeling. Unfortunately, it causes a lot of blemishes. They appeared all over the areas where my hair touches my skin, so I had to switch to a different shampoo.
