This lip balm has become a staple for my dry lips! I've tried many products with jojoba oil and others, but while they were all moisturizing, they often caused my lips to peel, making me pick at them even more. With Dr. Popo products, there's no peeling at all - it just seems to calm everything down! I use the Mocha Balm even when I sleep, and I'm planning to buy the original version specifically for nighttime use too! Since I haven't been wearing makeup lately, I thought a lip balm that gives just a hint of color would be nice, so I chose the Mocha version - and I'm glad I did! It's a bit dark, but I like how it gives a subtle, composed look. The smaller size has a soft applicator tip that's gentle on the lips, but the larger size just has a screw-top, which is a bit inconvenient. I've gotten used to it though - I just squeeze it directly onto my lips without touching it and clean the tip frequently with an alcohol wipe. - ql******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedNov 22, 2021
Color: It's a deep cocoa shade, darker than I expected. Being a lip balm, it goes on naturally, but the color payoff is surprisingly good. I'm pleased with it, though I was taken aback by how rich it is. The brown isn't an extreme warm tone, but rather a low-chroma, low-value dark shade with grayish-blackish undertones - perfect for cool, deep skin tones. The official website images seem to show a lighter, more nude look. The scrub effect was noticeable the next day with more dead skin cells, and while applying it feels moisturizing and smooth. It's great as a tinted lip balm that cares for your lips while adding color. Very convenient. I originally wanted the 10ml size, but it doesn't seem to be available in Korea. This one isn't too big either, which I like. It fits nicely in hand, not as massive as I feared. No regrets, as it's hard to find lip balms in this shade. It'll be perfect when I want something hydrating after wearing matte lipsticks. It's also vegan. #SummerDeep #Type16 Not recommended for those who don't suit dark lips. The castor oil has a strong scent. I'm immune to it (I've even eaten it raw before), so it didn't bother me much. It's tolerable, but smells very oily. First-timers might find it shocking. It's not suitable as a blush or contour - it's a bit sticky, doesn't smudge well, and doesn't have a powdery finish. It creates a moisturizing MLBB look that gives a calm impression. The texture is hydrating, making you appear vibrant and fresh. Due to its formula and product characteristics, some transfer seems unavoidable. - qu********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessFeb 12, 2020
Hard to find any positives. I just bought it out of curiosity. Feels like I was duped by Instagram. When applied over lip products, it dulls the color unattractively. Too sticky to use as a contour - hair keeps getting stuck to it. The red shade is more versatile and practical to buy.
