I tried a sample and ended up buying the full-size product. It gives a luxurious glow, if I may say so. It's great for achieving a radiant finish. It seems to pair better with semi-matte or matte foundations rather than dewy ones. Even those with oily skin should be able to use it comfortably as it's not sticky at all. You need to apply it as thinly as possible. If you get greedy and apply too much, it all pills up... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 5, 2019
The foundation adheres smoothly and has improved staying power. The way it settles on the skin is beautiful. If applied correctly, it really makes your skin look flawless. It pairs perfectly with Double Wear. If you don't control the amount well, it can pill and apply unevenly. You need to apply a very thin layer with a small amount. Applying it too thickly results in a patchy application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 7, 2018
While it doesn't dramatically improve longevity, it does make your skin look a bit prettier. I think the best way to use this product is to apply a thin layer under matte foundation. It's hard to expect dramatic effects, and it doesn't drastically change your skin's appearance. Using this won't suddenly transform dry skin into an incredibly dewy, glowing complexion. I feel the results don't quite justify the price. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 4, 2018
While it doesn't dramatically improve longevity, applying this does make your skin look a bit prettier. It seems to really shine when applied thinly under matte foundations rather than dewy ones. I mainly use it with Double Wear. I apply a thin layer all over my face, except the nose, before foundation. After a while, when the oils start to come through, that's when the skin starts looking really beautiful. Honestly, don't expect any dramatic changes. If you use it, don't anticipate a huge difference in skin appearance or staying power... Using this won't suddenly give super dehydrated skin an intense Inner Glow. If that's the effect you're after, I'd recommend solving it with skincare instead. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 15, 2018
The texture is moisturizing with fine pearls, and it doesn't feel heavy or apply too thick. The pearls are small and pretty, so I occasionally use a tiny amount as a highlighter substitute. I didn't feel like it definitively filled in my pores. I don't think this product will give amazing results for people with lots of pores and excess oil in their T-zone and butterfly zone. It doesn't control oil as well as Benefit, but it applies more lightly and feels more hydrating than Benefit. It might be fine for those who don't produce much oil. I didn't realize Estée Lauder had a separate Matte Perfecting Primer, so I, with my oily, pore-prone skin, ended up buying this one. Overall it's not bad, but I would have used the Matte Perfecting one better if I had bought that instead. It also seems to interact differently with various foundations. With some it's fine, with others it pills. It's an okay product, but considering the price, it leaves something to be desired. - ch**********Combination SkinAcne SkinMay 25, 2018
The pearl effect is beautiful. Up close, you can see the fine shimmer particles. This is when used alone. The application is smooth and pleasant. 1) Being Estée Lauder, I expected it to pair perfectly with Double Wear, but compared to Double Wear's ironclad coverage, this has such a subtle glow that I can barely tell if it's glowing at all... Plus, I can't really say it's a perfect match for Double Wear. That feeling just isn't there. 2) It's a primer, but for a primer, it's too thin and doesn't cover pores... 3) The price. Even though I bought it duty-free, it's expensive for the amount you get. For those with flawless skin and no visible pores, this alone might give a nice subtle glow. Not for me though. - ji******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 14, 2018
The formula has a shimmering pearl effect that's quite noticeable. For a primer, it applies smoothly like a cream without any stiffness. Sometimes primers can cause makeup to pill or look patchy, but this one - perhaps because I only used a small amount due to its high price - didn't cause any pilling or unevenness at all. First off, the price... it's extremely expensive. Honestly, I'm not sure if it's even functioning as a primer. It doesn't fill in pores at all. To be frank, there's no difference whether I apply it or not. Once I finish this, I probably won't repurchase. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 16, 2017
I only use this because foundation feels too heavy. It gives a natural glow and makes my skin look healthy. I'm so satisfied that I keep using just this product. There aren't really any downsides. Even though I have super sensitive skin, it doesn't cause any blemishes. If I had to pick something, I guess it would be the price aspect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 11, 2017
It has a subtle shimmer, and it's the least likely to pill among all the primers I've bought... If your pores are too large, even using a primer might not cover them effectively. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 6, 2017
This seems to be the primer that pills the least among all the ones I've tried... The price is a bit steep... It's somewhat of a burden on my wallet...
