Texture: I haven't been using it for long, so I'm not sure if this is why, but the initial application felt a bit stiff. However, after layering it a few times, it became more manageable. I should mention that I usually use sunscreens with very watery textures - sometimes so hydrating that I can't tell if they're moisturizers or sunscreens - so that might be why I noticed this. It wasn't difficult to use by any means. Brightening effect: I'm actually around a shade 23 (I think), but due to my complexion hang-ups, I prefer using foundations in shades 19-21. After applying this sunstick a few times, it gave me a natural-looking brightening effect. Since green is often used to counteract redness, I thought it might focus on that, but it just felt like I'd applied a gentle brightening moisturizer. The application is really... it pills up on the skin like dead skin cells. After applying, when I rub it in, it creases so badly you can see my fingerprints. It's incredibly powdery. It seems to suck out what little moisture your skin has. Even with a solid skincare routine beforehand, it's bound to leave your skin parched... Ah... Even if portability is your top priority... The main features are: 1. It moderately controls the oiliness from skincare products. It's less effective at oil control compared to typical oil-absorbing powders. Oil control effectiveness ranking: Oil-absorbing powder > Sun Finishing Stick > Blotting paper 2. Absolutely no stickiness It works well as a primer, controls oil, and doesn't feel sticky at all. 3. Previously, when I only applied sunscreen, I had to use powder or constantly blot with oil-absorbing sheets. But with this product, my skin stays oil-free all day long! The first photo shows just hybrid sunscreen applied. The second photo shows the Sun Finishing Stick applied over sunscreen. The third photo shows the Sun Finishing Stick applied over sunscreen and blended out. I'm not sure I'd spend my own money on this product. Also, it's only usable over sunscreen alone. It might be challenging to use if you're wearing makeup or planning to apply makeup over it.
