It feels lighter in color compared to typical foundations. While even the lightest shades of other foundations often appeared dark on me, this one gives a slightly, just slightly, brighter complexion. The color still leans a bit dark. Being a cushion, its coverage has limitations. It might be too drying for those with dry skin - even with a solid skincare base, it could crack as time passes. The fragrance is quite strong, which might not appeal to everyone's taste. Personally, I found the best adherence by mixing it with a more hydrating and brighter foundation, then applying with a damp beauty sponge. - ca******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 13, 2022
The case lid works great as a mirror. I've been using the Lingerie Foundation in 00N, but I wanted to try the Gold Line cushion in the same shade. The store staff also recommended this shade. It gives a natural skin tone and feels hydrating. It makes my skin look good. If you want a brighter look, you might consider going for a lighter shade. The ingredients aren't the best, but it's hard to expect great ingredients in foundation. The price is quite high. The puff that comes with it isn't great. The black puff makes the cushion look messy when it's used. Update in September: I wanted to buy a refill, but I found out the cushion case has changed and isn't compatible with the old one, which is disappointing. Try using a different puff, as a little product goes a long way. Using a pore primer makes the skin look even smoother. - wi*******Normal SkinSensitive SkinAug 6, 2021
It's unique that it applies thinly and doesn't use a sponge, possibly due to the mesh. While the case doesn't give off a particularly youthful vibe, considering the price and other factors, it seems more suitable for the 40-50-60 age group rather than younger generations. It would make a nice gift for mothers. The case looks a bit outdated. The price is quite steep, and by the time you finish using it, the mesh looks worn out and somewhat unsightly, which is rather off-putting. - re*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresApr 11, 2021
Absorbs beautifully It applies thinly and feels like my own skin. If you have good skin, this will give you a naturally beautiful look. Perfect shade I usually use shade 21, and this was slightly darker than my usual color. However, I found that it gave a more subdued skin appearance, which I liked. It was just right for my 21-22 skin tone, but if you prefer lighter shades, make sure to test it before buying! Lack of coverage Because it applies so thinly, it offers almost no coverage. Lack of hydration I bought this after hearing it was suitable for dry skin types, but I didn't feel any moisturizing effect at all. Personally, it emphasized my dead skin cells so much that I didn't reach for it at all during winter. Included puff Personally, I felt like the Guerlain cushion puff absorbed all the moisture, and instead of being soft and bouncy, it felt rough. Every time I applied makeup, I used a puff from a different cushion instead of the included one. Cleanliness of the mesh Because it's a mesh, you can clearly see the dust that sticks to it. It doesn't come off easily and it's annoying to see every time you use it. Perfect your base If you apply a solid skincare base and use this on a good skin day, your skin will look naturally beautiful. - ch*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 2, 2021
The coverage is quite good, which I consider a plus. The packaging design is also attractive. Despite its evil price without refill options, it always pills when reapplying, especially around the cheeks and eye area. I can't even tell if it's moisturizing, even though I have oily skin... And the color is just awful... too yellow-toned. Good for skin appearance...? Maybe only if you have flawless skin to begin with. Even though my skin isn't particularly rough, this product is a complete letdown... For this price, you're better off buying something else. - ho********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 24, 2021
As someone who's tried Armani Power Fabric, Designer Lift, Estée Lauder foundation, and Shu Uemura foundation in shade 21, I have to say this: While Estée Lauder emphasized my pores too much (even with a hydrating primer), the Guerlain Parure Gold foundation is a game-changer. It combines the best of Estée Lauder (quick setting, great coverage) with Armani's beautiful wear-down. I initially bought the cushion out of curiosity after using the liquid foundation, and wow... I'm absolutely thrilled with it! The price of Guerlain products is steep as always. Also, for a cushion compact, where the case design is crucial, it's a bit underwhelming considering the cost. The Hwahae Testers would likely agree that this foundation works hard to even skin tone and create that coveted Inner Glow, perfect for those with combination dehydrated skin looking for a daily complexion perfector. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 10, 2021
The skin finish is excellent. It covers blemishes with just a small amount, and I love that it doesn't look overly glowy or feel dry. I've been using foundation for years, but switched to cushion compacts a year ago for convenience. I'm very satisfied with this one! Guerlain foundations generally have a strong yellow undertone. Looking at their recent product shades, it seems they've recognized this issue and are making efforts to revamp their color range. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedDec 12, 2020
I have dry skin that often develops dead skin cells, so I'm always very careful when applying makeup. This product feels so moisturizing and seems to suit my skin perfectly. I usually use shade 21, but using shade 00 made my complexion look radiant and I really liked it. Considering the price, the cushion puff feels quite rough. When I use it on sensitive areas like under the eyes, it keeps catching and feels scratchy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJun 14, 2020
Great for a natural and lightweight skin look~ I especially love how it gracefully fades throughout the day~ While it's not a high-coverage product, I actually prefer its natural coverage~ - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedApr 30, 2020
This is an excellent foundation for dry skin. It has a mesh texture that's incredibly hydrating, yet the coverage isn't bad at all. Among moisturizing foundations, I think this one offers the best coverage. It has a strong yellow undertone. As someone with a fair, cool complexion, it makes me look a bit too yellow. I tried color testing at the department store and found 01 and 02 too dark, so I bought 00. This might work better for those with warm undertones. It's a bit too yellow and bright to use as a base, but it's perfect for touch-ups on the go.
