True to its deep cleansing oil nature, it removes makeup thoroughly and seems gentle on the skin. There's not really anything to complain about. It's just so... unremarkable. Using it with lukewarm water works well. - 2h**Combination SkinSensitive SkinDec 12, 2020
A major advantage of this product is that it leaves almost no skin dryness after use. While it doesn't dry out your face, it actually takes quite a while to wash off and doesn't dissolve sebum effectively. Contrary to its name, it doesn't provide a 'deep cleansing' experience. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 8, 2018
My skin type is combination leaning towards dry, with a few blemishes here and there. - Doesn't cause breakouts and effectively removes dead skin cells and excess sebum. - No irritation, excellent cleansing effectiveness. Even removes Maybelline mascara and eyeliner. - Leaves skin feeling hydrated after use. - Great value for money. You can get a set of two for about 13,000 won (with free shipping) on 11th Street, and it's even cheaper with discount coupons. Each bottle is 200ml, which is larger than most other products (usually 100-150ml). - The regular price might be a bit steep for those who only shop in offline stores. - While I find it hydrating, those who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling might think it leaves a slightly slippery sensation, making them feel less cleansed. Gently massage in circular motions for about a minute - Hwahae UserNormal SkinNov 16, 2017
I've been a fan of the illi body cream, so when I needed a cleansing oil, I was thrilled to find the illi cleansing oil at a great price on an open market site. Well... the ingredients aren't great, and to be honest, using it was just okay. While it didn't cause any blemishes, I couldn't say I was wowed by it either. It's a bit disappointing. There are so many good cleansing oils out there these days... This might be worth trying if you're looking for a budget-friendly option, or if you're a fan of the illi brand. It could be a good choice when you're watching your wallet! - js******Dry SkinNov 14, 2017
It seems to be a good oil since it effectively removes Heroine Make mascara! There's a slight lingering oily feeling, but for someone with extremely dry skin like me, it's actually a plus that the moisture doesn't evaporate quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 12, 2017
I loved the yuzu scent of this product, so I decided to try their deep cleansing oil too. It was a great deal when I bought it as a buy-one-get-one-free offer. It doesn't emulsify. The oil just doesn't break down at all. Even after rinsing, there's still an oily residue, so I've been trying to compensate by following up with a foam cleanser. But I've ended up with blemishes on my forehead. And not just the forehead - my cheeks broke out too. At first, I didn't have any issues, so I didn't realize this was the cause. But it turns out, this product was the main culprit. I've never experienced skin problems like this before in my life. This product doesn't even deserve a one-star rating. I bought this product without checking the Hwahae reviews first, and it turns out the ratings were absolutely terrible! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 6, 2017
If you search well, you can find it at a good price. It effectively removes even long-lasting mascara when massaged and emulsified properly. It washes off cleanly. I have acne-prone skin, so I use this only for removing eye and lip makeup. If you don't roll and massage it thoroughly, there might be some mascara residue left behind. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 19, 2017
This seems to be the worst oil cleanser I've tried so far, compared to Shu Uemura, Etude, and DHC It doesn't remove makeup effectively. When rinsing with water, it leaves an excessive oily residue, requiring extra thorough cleansing with a foam cleanser afterward - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 8, 2017
It seems gentle and mild. It caused less deep dryness compared to other oils. As expected, a single cleanse isn't enough. The price is neither high nor low compared to other products on the market. There's still some eye makeup residue left. - th*******Dry SkinApr 19, 2017
It removed full makeup, including eye and lip products, surprisingly well with just oil and no separate remover. The scent was also more pleasant than I expected. It feels excessively slippery, and the emulsification process is disappointing. You need to rinse endlessly with water to get it off completely.
