I gave this as a gift to my mom. Since I don't really use essence compacts myself, I chose it based on the Hwahae Awards. Mom was very pleased with it! She says it doesn't cause any irritation and adheres well to her skin. Mom hasn't mentioned any downsides. Initially, I was worried due to reviews mentioning an unpleasant scent, but I found the fragrance to be fine. When applied to the face, there was a slight appearance of dead skin cells, but not noticeably so, and it looked natural. It doesn't cover pores, allowing for a natural look. I thought shade 21 would be dark, but it was brighter than expected. Even after 2 hours and a workout session, it held up well. I was just thinking about repurchasing because I liked it so much. However, after 2 hours, when I tried to remove it, it formed wart-like bumps on my face. I'm glad I washed it off after only 2 hours. I don't think I can use it, so I gave it to my mom, but I'm not sure if she'll just throw it away. Two of my friends simultaneously mentioned that it looked like I had developed wart-like bumps that weren't there before. There might be an ingredient that doesn't agree with my skin specifically. Despite the good reviews, please research carefully before using. Also, it's difficult to insert the refill into the case. I bought this foundation with high hopes since it's a cushion format The compact arrived with the product separated. I'm using it as is, but I wish the formula was a bit more fluid. I also found the coverage to be somewhat lacking I'm not entirely satisfied, but I'll keep using it since I don't want to waste it

But after using this product, I haven't experienced any flaking at all! It's incredibly hydrating and has a lovely scent. It's a cream-type compact with so much moisture that it forms droplets. It doesn't leave an oily residue or shine, but instead gives a matte finish that's deeply hydrating on the inside and fresh on the outside. My friend tried it and immediately bought one for herself! There's nothing to complain about with this product! Even though it doesn't come in different shades, it matched my complexion perfectly! I love it! The staying power is great, and it's not overly matte or too dewy. Unlike other cushions that don't last long, I think this one will be usable for a while since it's in a solid foundation form. It works well for my sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin. There's nothing particularly bad about it. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the compact is a bit on the larger side.
