I have shade 23 complexion, and unlike other products that came out too light and left me perplexed, this one matched perfectly with its honest 23 shade. Being neutral, it appeared slightly reddish on my yellowish skin compared to my neck. Ah... I had high hopes for the Neo line after hearing so much praise, but it just didn't work for my dry skin. It seriously emphasized texture and dead skin cells... Even highlighted wrinkles I didn't know I had! What I wanted was smooth, flawless skin, but this failed to make my skin look beautiful. I saw a lot of promotion about it being a matte foundation that doesn't cause deep dryness, but... hmm... I'll need to find a way to use it with a solid skincare base. I didn't even realize I bought the high-coverage version, not just matte. Yet it didn't seem to provide good coverage as it sat on top of my skin. (Update) I'm managing to use it decently by layering carefully - thorough skincare + hydrating sunscreen + hydrating primer to really lock in moisture. However, I probably won't repurchase. - kn*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 12, 2021
It's so pretty! I was really amazed by the magnetic closure - that's such a cool feature. For some reason, it caused a breakout of tiny bumps... I think it just doesn't suit my skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessAug 22, 2021
The coverage was impressive considering how thinly it applies. It transferred less onto my mask and had excellent staying power. With my dry skin, if I moisturize too much, it pills. But if I don't moisturize enough, it flakes. As time passes, it settles into smile lines and around the mouth, giving a somewhat messy, worn-off appearance. - dl**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 21, 2021
I tried the Neo Cushion before, but it didn't work for me. When the Neo Foundation came out, I was curious but mostly skeptical. However, after applying it, I found that unlike the cushion, the foundation actually suits me well. My skin doesn't have major blemishes, but I do have some dark spots, acne scars, and a yellowish undertone. My skin is dry, so I usually go for moisturizing foundations. But given the current situation, I've been using mostly matte formulas lately. Without a solid skincare base, it can flake and crack easily. Still, I have to stick with matte... What can I do? As expected, it's very matte for my skin! But the finish is surprisingly beautiful. It covers well and applies smoothly. It's thin and lightweight. As for the scent, while I disliked the Neo Cushion fragrance, the foundation's scent is pleasant and subtle. The first photo shows my skin with primer, brightening moisturizer, and Laneige foundation! The 2nd and 3rd photos were taken 3 hours later (with highlighter applied). For a more accurate review, I took these photos with the default camera! We'll have to see how it holds up with a mask on and when sweating. I'll update my review later! One foundation alone isn't enough, so make sure to apply a primer. It really enhances the foundation's appearance. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 20, 2021
As someone with acne-prone, oily skin that's super dehydrated underneath, makeup always left my skin feeling parched. Wearing a mask on top of that caused clogged pores and breakouts galore. After about 2 hours, the oil mixed with makeup would look worse than bare skin, so I stopped wearing makeup altogether since COVID hit. But with Neopade, there's no heavy feeling when applied. I put it on, wait about 30 minutes, then put on my mask, and there's barely any transfer. I'm not sure if it's because of the gentle ingredients, but I love that it doesn't cause any makeup-induced blemishes. My skin tone is about a 22, but I don't like looking too bright, so I got shade 23. It covers redness well, and with thin, multiple layers, it provides decent coverage. As time passes and oil surfaces, instead of caking, it gives a healthy glow that makes my skin look good. It's pricey, but I'm 300% likely to repurchase. It's been a while since I've genuinely praised a cosmetic product like this! I'm not skilled enough to apply it using just a brush. Instead, I spread a thin layer with a brush first, then pat it all over with a cushion puff. This method works great for touch-ups and creates a really thin, even application! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 9, 2021
Wow, this is seriously amazing! I was considering buying the Laneige Neo Cushion, but I ended up getting this foundation instead, and I'm completely satisfied! It's absolutely fantastic! The staying power is incredible! Usually, my makeup would be a mess before taking off my mask, and I always had to touch up. But with this foundation, it doesn't budge at all, so there's no need for touch-ups! The way it makes my skin look is just... so beautiful. My skin is on the darker side with blemishes, acne scars, and peach fuzz - basically all the conditions that make it hard for makeup to look good. But honestly... this gives such a beautiful finish. It's truly... the best. I almost want to keep it a secret, but you absolutely must buy this! They claimed it doesn't transfer onto masks, but it does transfer a little... Also, because it applies thinly, the coverage is somewhat lacking!! (It's a bit better if you layer it, though!!) After applying the foundation, if you gently pat your face with a cushion or a brush that's been wiped on a tissue, it'll transfer less onto your mask!
