This seems to be the best for acne-prone skin. I don't have cystic acne, just those tiny bumps for 21 years of my life, and this is a game-changer! I highly recommend buying it every month. The price is a bit steep. Also, it feels slightly drying? I've been using this line since I was young due to my acne-prone skin, and now as an adult, I hardly get any blemishes. It's definitely effective, which makes sense since it's a pharmacy product. There wasn't anything particularly bad! It's a bit pricey, but considering its effectiveness, I'd say it's worth it. I've been using this for years and nothing else compares. Whenever I try other products, I always end up with blemishes and come back to La Roche-Posay. It's a product I trust because it doesn't cause any skin issues, at least for me! As someone with very oily skin, the Clarifying version is a must in summer, but it can be too drying in other seasons. That's when the Hydrating version works best for me. There are no downsides for me. It suits my skin well. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that even with my very oily skin, it can feel a bit drying in winter. But that's not really an issue since I can just switch to a different toner in winter. Not recommended for dry skin. My close aunt recommended this when I had acne, and it suits my skin perfectly. I'm already on my second bottle. There's nothing to complain about... It's just perfect for me.

Highly recommended for summer! It definitely decreased sebum production. However, a single application can be drying, so I layer it multiple times. In winter, I found I needed to apply a moisturizer on top. That's why I'm currently using the regular version from the Effaclar line that I recently purchased. Since you need to shake the powder before use, applying it with a cotton pad might wipe away too much product. I purchased this from the official website. True to its claim as a product for oily skin, it effectively controls excess oil when used. While it's described as an exfoliating toner, I've used it both as a pat-on toner and an exfoliating toner. The fact that it's sold in dermatology clinics suggests it's a quality product. The product is quite expensive, to the point where you might feel it's wasteful to saturate a cotton pad with it. Even though it feels extravagant, when using it as an exfoliating toner, make sure to saturate the cotton pad well. I have combination oily skin that's also combination dehydrated and sensitive with a thin texture. Before, if I didn't properly care for my skin after cleansing in the morning, my face would become greasy within hours. But since using this product, I can maintain a fresh complexion until evening. Unfortunately, you can't easily find this at convenient locations like Olive Young. You'll need to order it online or visit a dermatologist's office to get it.
