I have dry, acne-prone skin with blemishes! My dermatologist recommended this foundation. It focuses on using gentle ingredients to minimize breakouts as much as possible. Here's what I like about it: 1. Since switching to this foundation, I've noticed fewer blemishes! 2. It's quite hydrating! 3. I love that it has sun protection! Coverage: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) Adherence: ⭐ (1/5) Application: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) Coverage: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) It seems too much to expect both gentle ingredients that reduce blemishes and excellent coverage. There's a limit to how much it can conceal, so you need to layer it. My blemishes aren't severe, so layering works okay for me. However, if you're focused on completely covering blemishes, this might be a bit challenging! (It can settle into pores!) Adherence: ⭐ (1/5) The adherence is... really not good! It comes off easily with just a light touch! It leaves marks, so you need to quickly touch up. It transfers easily too, so be careful...! Application: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) I prefer foundations with an emulsion-like texture that glide on smoothly! It's not a watery formula, but it's easy to apply - just right? It's hydrating enough for me, so I didn't experience any tightness after application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 14, 2018
I have super sensitive skin that breaks out with blemishes and acne from almost anything I apply. Even emulsions claiming to be gentle would cause breakouts when my skin was dry. Makeup always stressed me out because it would cause skin issues. But I've been using this for over 2 years after discovering it by chance. Despite not feeling light, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin! The coverage is great too - a little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts ages. Since using this, I've received many compliments that my skin looks better (it gives a nice effect). For those like me with oily skin who sweat a lot, using this in summer can lead to... well, let's say 'dewiness'. By lunchtime after applying in the morning, to put it nicely, your skin looks like it has that 'Inner Glow' effect... It gets quite shiny. The coverage is excellent even with a small amount, so don't squeeze out too much at once. - ho********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 7, 2018
I chose this foundation because its ingredients are relatively suitable for my atopic skin. Compared to other foundations, it doesn't have any standout features, but I keep using it solely for its ingredient list. I'm reasonably satisfied. There's nothing particularly remarkable about it... But it's still pretty decent. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 4, 2018
The coverage is amazing and it applies just like real skin!! I have sensitive skin, but this worked well for me It's a bit dark for me. There's a slight yellow undertone which doesn't quite match my cool complexion - db*******Dry SkinJun 30, 2018
I trusted La Roche-Posay and used this product without hesitation. The coverage is great and the color matched my skin perfectly. Now that summer's here, I can't use it anymore. My face turns into an oil slick! A product that's great for winter but not so great for summer! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 22, 2018
Doesn't cause blemishes, gentle on skin, and has good coverage. That's all there is to it! Only comes in two shades. While the coverage is good, it's not very natural-looking. It feels heavy and accentuates skin texture. Applying it after using Cicaplast Balm seems to reduce the heavy feeling a bit... - au******Dry SkinRecommendedJun 19, 2018
Ingredients. I discovered this after my once-healthy skin suddenly flared up, and I was searching for products with good ingredients. The biggest advantage is that it only has one potentially problematic ingredient. Plus, it's affordable. The SPF level is sufficient (they say anything higher doesn't really add more protection). However, while the ingredients are gentle, the texture could be a bit better. It provides excellent coverage. No need for touch-ups as it doesn't break down throughout the day. If you have dry skin, it's absolutely essential to mix this with oil... no exceptions. It's better to apply by patting with a puff rather than using your hands. There's no fragrance (which could actually be a plus since it means no unnecessary ingredients like artificial fragrances). For those debating about shades, listen up. I usually use shade 21. Some people say even the lighter shades are dark, but that's likely because they prefer a very brightening look. If you like your face to be much brighter than your neck, this might not work for you. I aim for a natural skin finish, so it suited me well. Don't worry about it looking dull - there's no darkening effect. You can use it with a brightening moisturizer (I recommend Primera's pink tone-up base) for a lighter look, or even on its own for a natural complexion. In conclusion, I recommend it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 11, 2018
As someone with seborrheic dermatitis, I've been searching for a non-irritating foundation. This one seems to be gentle on my skin, which is great! While many reviews mentioned it being too dark, I actually found it a bit light on me, with a noticeable yellow undertone. The absorption isn't great either. If you dampen the puff before applying, it absorbs better and the makeup adheres more effectively. - tm********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 20, 2018
I heard the ingredients were good, but I'm not so sure... It's causing blemishes. My skin is too sensitive and oily, so I keep buying it but not using it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 13, 2018
Great adherence and medium-high coverage with good staying power. Very lightweight, and a small amount is enough to cover the entire face. It's gentle and non-irritating. Unlike some products that can cause a stinging sensation after application, this one doesn't have that issue at all. It has a powdery, matte finish. It's too matte for my dry skin. This would be perfect for those with oily skin types. When I mix it with oil due to dryness, it causes excess sebum production and breaks down a bit messily. If I apply it without mixing oil, it finishes with a matte look and lasts from noon until 9 PM without touch-ups, but my skin feels quite tight and becomes desert-like and flaky. It's truly a foundation for oily skin types! However, as I have sensitive skin prone to blemishes, I have no choice but to stick with this foundation. Apply a thin layer with a brush by gently tapping it all over, then wait a bit and use the remaining product to cover any spots that need extra coverage with another round of gentle tapping!
