I use this when I want a really intense look, and the color payoff is great! I usually go for brown, so I don't use black often, but I love how pigmented it is. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. If I had to mention a drawback, it's that it's really hard to remove... It glides on smoothly and absorbs well! If you apply makeup after properly removing excess oil, it stays put until evening without touch-ups. The staying power is impressive! I wanted to try it in-store before buying, but it doesn't seem to be available offline. So I just ordered it online, and it turned out to be a great find! When you use the Lip Hip gel liner together with the Lip Hip liquid eyeliner, it really doesn't smudge all day long. The two have amazing chemistry together!

Plus, the black is a true deep black, making your eyes look incredibly defined. It's absolutely fantastic! I'm not sure if it's just me having a heavy hand, but if you apply too much pressure, the soft core might smudge or break. Just be a bit careful when using it and you should be fine! After lining your eyes, gently smudge with your finger for 1-2 seconds, and you'll get a beautifully natural smudged look.

The formula is softer than other pencil liners I've used before, so it doesn't harden or become difficult to apply after the first use! My previous pencils would quickly become stiff if I didn't use them for a while. If you love an intense black color, I'd recommend this. The soft formula can smudge a bit, but that's probably because I apply it with a heavy hand! The deep black color isn't something I reach for often. When I use it as a liner without smudging, it gives me a bit of a glamorous look, which isn't my usual style. It smudges well, so if you draw the line and then gently smudge the tail with your fingernail, you can create a natural-looking line.
