It's not even worth giving one star. There are absolutely no redeeming qualities... First off, I bought this because it was labeled as shade 23, but it's even more ashy than a BB cream. It's like applying cement to your face. Moreover, unlike other brightening moisturizers, this one seems to 'stain' the skin. Once you touch an area, it's incredibly difficult to blend. Needless to say, I have zero intention of repurchasing. - gr*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinJul 19, 2017
It covers my freckles really well. The staying power is great - I don't need to touch up all day. You can just pat it on roughly with your fingers. It has a slight cooling effect that feels refreshing when applied. By lunchtime, I notice it settling into wrinkles. Reapplying makes it cake up more, so I just pat it out with my fingers. Mixing with essence causes some white cast, and it seems to darken by afternoon. Using only on the face creates a noticeable difference with the neck. I bought it after seeing a Facebook ad - the coverage is truly good, but on the 4th day of use, I broke out in hives all over my face. The dermatologist said it's contact dermatitis. The itching is driving me crazy with stress and irritation. It's clearly from this cushion since it's the only thing I've changed recently. I belatedly checked the ingredients on Hwahae... oh no. I bought both shade 21 and 23... what a waste. This review is turning into a diary entry... that's how desperate I feel. I regret falling for the ad and ruining my skin instead of sticking with my usual products. In conclusion: while the coverage is excellent, it contains many problematic ingredients and the scent isn't great either. I strongly advise against buying it. What if you end up with contact dermatitis like me? Just don't buy it, seriously. There are no tips. The best tip is not to buy this at all. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinJun 16, 2017
Tried this for the first time during touch-ups and it's amazing - no pilling at all and applies so lightly. My skin's been in terrible shape with some scarring, and regular cushions or foundations just don't cut it, but this covers everything! It even naturally brightens my complexion, which I love. The price is quite steep. Also, the essence might be a bit too light, making it tricky to match my neck and face tones. - tn*******Dry SkinJun 11, 2017
I bought this after seeing a Facebook ad, and I must say it's pretty decent! It applies thinly and feels hydrating. While the thin application and moisturizing effect are nice, I'm not sure about its other benefits, to be honest. If you're buying this based on ads, you might be in for a big disappointment. I purchased it thinking it would have good coverage and come with essence, but the coverage is practically non-existent and it breaks down quickly. Also, the scent isn't pleasant at all. There's no typical cosmetic fragrance, zero coverage, and it pills badly. For those with dry skin, large pores, and lots of age spots or freckles like me, I absolutely cannot recommend this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 7, 2017
It gives a natural glow. The dual-tone design allows you to match it to your complexion. For my sensitive and dry skin, it was too drying, and I started developing small blemishes, so I couldn't use it much. Also, after some time, it turns grayish... It's a disappointing product. - he******Normal SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2017
My skin looks incredibly hydrated! Maybe it's because of the essence, but when I apply it, my complexion really looks amazing. Since I have fair skin, if I use more of the essence, it initially matches my skin tone. However, after a while, the darkening effect becomes too intense. I've stopped using it now. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 4, 2017
I love that it's split in half, allowing you to adjust the coverage and hydration as needed. It also seems to give a natural glow. However, after some time, it feels like there's excess oil on the surface. And unless you use a lot, I'm not sure if the coverage is really that effective... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinFeb 25, 2017
The split design is pretty. The overall aesthetic is just beautiful. 33,000 won... Isn't that a bit much? It's totally not worth it. - ck******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2017
As someone with a lot of peach fuzz, I was looking for a moisturizing cushion foundation, and this Half & Half Cushion didn't cause any patchiness. The coverage is average. I have sensitive skin and found the staying power to be quite decent. However, for those with oily skin, the longevity might not be as impressive. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 17, 2017
Coverage - I bought this with some skepticism after seeing it used on a face full of blemishes, but it doesn't seem to have as much coverage as advertised. Adherence - It seems to pill a bit. Application - Not bad. While it doesn't provide great coverage, I like the natural look it gives. The product scent... or should I say smell? It's not a pleasant fragrance. There's a slightly off-putting feeling to it.
