As it's an oil stick, I expected instant hydration, but it fell a bit short of my expectations compared to other products Terrible... After using it, my skin turned red, felt burning and tingling. After purchasing all my skincare, cleansing, and makeup products from MAC, I received their oil as a gratis. When I apply it after washing my face and doing my skincare routine before bed, it leaves my skin feeling wonderfully hydrated. I'm a bit disappointed with the ingredients list on Hwahae, and I find myself not using it as often as I thought I would. I've been using this product for a long time, especially around my mouth and eyes where dead skin cells tend to be noticeable before makeup. It keeps my skin hydrated for hours, preventing my makeup from looking patchy. Since it doesn't cause pilling even when foundation is applied over it and adheres well to the skin, I use this MAC Prep+Prime Oil Stick specifically for pre-makeup skincare, while I use other oil sticks for general skincare. I highly recommend this for those whose skin tends to look dry or whose makeup easily becomes patchy. It's also an essential product for those who prefer a foundation-free look and only use brightening moisturizer. While there's nothing to complain about regarding the product itself, I wish it came in a larger quantity. If your foundation used to look separate from your skin, this oil stick can simplify your skincare routine and give you that 'second-skin' makeup look. Throughout the day, it minimized the appearance of dead skin cells. When touching up, I'd warm a bit on my hands, apply to areas needing correction, and the makeup would blend seamlessly. For dry areas or spots where you want to reduce the appearance of flaky skin, apply this before foundation or cushion for a perfect match. It gives your skin a radiant glow without looking greasy. If you occasionally don't want this glow, just set with powder. Bonus: A MAC employee mentioned that some staff with atopic dermatitis use it like a multi-balm, applying it to their neck regularly. Even in summer, when I often hear complaints about dryness from air conditioning in stores, applying just a little to needed areas reduces that dry feeling. 3. It's versatile and absorbs well. You can gently pat the oil stick or roll it in your palms before applying to areas like nails or lips for effectiveness. You can also swipe it on facial areas like the forehead, nasolabial folds, and under-eyes, then spread the oil across your entire face - it blends easily because it's an oil. 1. The quantity is a bit disappointing for the price. While the formula isn't too soft, so it lasts longer than other sticks, many oil sticks have been released recently, and the amount you get for the price is somewhat lacking. Applying it lightly before makeup, especially on areas with visible pores like the nose and forehead, works wonders! It really sinks into the skin nicely and does a great job of filling in those pores. Feels a bit disappointing considering the price... 1. It has an extra lid inside, making it hygienic for storage. 2. When my skin was very chapped, applying it generously after evening cleansing improved my skin condition the next day. 3. The stick format was great as it minimized product getting on my hands. 4. The textured stick itself helped with dead skin cell care. 1. The ingredients aren't particularly impressive for the price. 2. Even for dry skin, it's too rich for summer use. 3. Personally, I didn't care for the grassy scent. Due to its rich formula, avoid using this product in summer or before makeup. It's best suited for days when your skin feels dry or during winter months.

Instead, it causes my makeup to pill It's a product best used only on dry areas before applying makeup. It might be too rich and heavy elsewhere, so it's probably better to avoid using it on the T-zone
