The absorption is quite good. Despite containing two types of alcohol that can be harsh on sensitive skin, perhaps due to low concentrations, I didn't experience any blemishes or irritation while using it. I layer it after my protein-infused hydrating ampoule, followed by cream and cushion. Not sure if it's thanks to the ampoule or this serum, but my forehead has such a glow that people can't help but stare. It's not oiliness, but a true Inner Glow. Compared to luxury brand serums, it's relatively affordable. I have a feeling there's less product inside than the packaging suggests. The opaque bottle makes it impossible to see how much is left, and you can't even tell by shaking it. I bought this because it was supposed to help with redness, but my redness hasn't improved or worsened. The dropper design means you can't scrape out the last bits from the bottom. Due to its lack of noticeable effects, I'm giving it 3 stars. They say using it with DSP cream maximizes the effects, but I'm not convinced. Since DSP cream is for nighttime use, I mostly applied this serum in the evenings too. I find that DSP cream tends to pill, so I wouldn't recommend it under makeup. Don't believe the blog hype about it being effective for redness. Make sure to compare prices before buying, as they vary widely. Duty-free shops tend to have the best deals. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 22, 2016
This product really delivers on its brightening promise! As someone with super sensitive skin, I usually get blemishes from brightening products, but this one is different! It's gentle yet effective in brightening. My complexion has noticeably improved, and surprisingly, it doesn't dry out my skin despite being a brightening product. Update February 2018: I'm currently on my third bottle and have two more stocked up! During the dry winter months, I pair it with a hydrating serum to combat dryness. While other brightening products cause irritation, this one doesn't - which is fantastic. I'm usually sensitive to artificial fragrances, but this product is an exception. The subtle scent lingers pleasantly throughout the morning. The 30ml size runs out in about a month, which is a bit quick. The price point is on the higher side. Update February 2018: About two years ago, this was only available through blogs and was quite pricey for a non-department store product. I question whether the blog exclusivity artificially inflated the price. Looking back, I feel foolish for buying it at that price without any points, receipt, or even a proper cash invoice - just handing over cash. Nowadays, with more sellers on social media, I think we need to be wary of excessive hype with dramatic names like 'miracle', 'knockout', or 'addictive' products. If you have super sensitive skin and have been afraid to try brightening products, this one is worth a shot! To get the full benefits, don't be stingy - apply it generously. For best results, layer a light hydrating serum underneath. Update February 2018: While the DSP cream from the same line caused blemishes for me (I couldn't even finish one bottle), this serum has been consistently gentle on my skin. - pj*******Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 1, 2016
Usually, when choosing a brightening serum, people look at the vitamin C content. However, the higher the concentration, the more likely it is to irritate or stress your skin. Especially for sensitive skin like mine, even famous products like Decléor's Vitamin C Powder Serum can feel harsh. Different sensitive skin types may react to different ingredients, or it might just be that a particular product doesn't suit you. Anyway, this product is recommended for those who want brightening effects but also desire a gentle application and low irritation. It's actually helpful for fading dark spots left after squeezing blemishes when used consistently, giving a brighter appearance! Rather than seeing results from just one bottle, as expected from a whitening product, you need to use a few bottles consecutively to feel like 'Oh! My skin is getting brighter.' As someone who has tried various Martiderm products, I personally rank this serum in my top 3! The price... The volume is really small, and for someone like me who's used to generously applying products, the price-to-volume ratio is quite bothersome. Brightening serums generally lack hydration. This one has a bit more viscosity compared to other whitening products? It's not watery, but has a slightly thicker consistency, and does provide some moisture. However, using it together with a hydrating serum can enhance the brightening effect, giving you that plump, glowing feeling. - jh*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessFeb 11, 2016
When I apply it before bed, I wake up with a noticeably brighter complexion. I love it so much I've repurchased. The amount is too small for frequent use. Even when I apply it generously, it absorbs quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 11, 2015
It absorbs well and feels great on the skin. My complexion looks healthier, and I'm already on my fifth bottle! It's quite small for the price. Not ideal if you tend to use products generously. I pat it in gently to ensure maximum absorption. - ny***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAug 22, 2015
The texture feels refreshing, and despite being a brightening serum, it didn't dry out my skin. After using it, I noticed my complexion became brighter, and I received many compliments on how my skin improved. The dropper packaging made it difficult to use up the product completely. I wish it came in a pump bottle instead.
