common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONPros1. You can feel the instant hydration kick in! With the ampoule included, just apply it and pop the mask on — your skin feels deeply moisturized right away. 2. The spatula is made really well. It has just the right amount of firmness, making application smooth and easy.
Cons1. The dedicated container material is a bit disappointing. There were no labels or markings on it, so I was expecting something sturdy like thick plastic or silicone — but it turned out to be super thin PP material, which caught me completely off guard. 2. If you fill the container with water up to the indicated line, the mixture becomes way too watery and just runs off during application.
TipsAfter cleansing, I applied the ampoule directly and waited just a moment for it to absorb, then layered the mask on top — the hydration felt absolutely maximized, leaving my skin with a beautiful Inner Glow.

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONProsConvenient to use: Being disposable, it comes with all the components - ampoule, bowl, and wooden spatula - making it very convenient to use and great for travel. Cooling effect: You can feel a cooling effect when applying the mask, giving a refreshing sensation and lowering skin temperature. It's great to use before makeup for better application. Skin soothing: After using it at night, the next day your skin feels soft and texture is improved, helping to soothe the skin.
ConsCan be a hassle: Mixing, applying, and peeling off can be a bit troublesome. But this is true for all modeling masks... Beginners might find it difficult to apply at first: If it's too thin, it will run down your face, so you need to mix it to the right consistency and apply it thickly.
TipsApply it thickly for easier removal when dry. Make sure to apply it thickly around the edges of your face too. After peeling off, you can remove any residue with a cotton pad soaked in toner.

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONProsMy skin was in pretty rough shape, so I tried this modeling mask hoping it would help a bit! It has a nice cooling effect too. While it did seem to have some soothing benefits, I still had some redness left after using it. It's super convenient though! I bought the large size, and it comes with a spatula. The water adjustment is easy, and it's not difficult to apply. Overall, it's a user-friendly experience!
ConsWhen it comes to blemishes, I felt like it helped somewhat, but it was hard to see significant improvement. I recommend using slightly less water than the fill line suggests, as it tends to drip otherwise. The included ampoule is quite generous, so be sure to adjust how much you use! For calming redness, I think tea tree works better.

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONProsOverall impression⭐️ I've tried modeling masks from about three brands, and this one is the most satisfying overall. 1) Packaging: While modeling masks themselves help with serum absorption, I appreciated that this one included a serum sample. The container for the modeling powder and the paper stick were sturdy, making it convenient to use. 2) Cooling effect: It effectively reduced skin heat, giving a soothing sensation that I found satisfying. 3) Texture: Compared to other products, the particles seem finer, making it easier to remove and leaving a nice finish.
ConsBeginners might find it difficult to use, and controlling the water amount isn't easy. It can dry too quickly or become too runny, which is disappointing. The water level line needs to be more visible on the container for improvement.
TipsAfter removing the mask, gently wipe any residue with a toner-soaked cotton pad for easy removal and a hydrated finish!

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONProsAs someone with combination dehydrated skin and sensitive skin around the mouth due to eczema, I've found this product to be a game-changer. My skin tends to get even more sensitive during spring and fall allergy seasons, with eczema flare-ups causing redness and intense dryness that leads to itching. When the product arrived, my lips were particularly dry, so I decided to cover them too while applying the modeling mask. The cooling effect was immediately noticeable and incredibly soothing, lasting even after removing the mask - excellent for calming the skin! I applied the ampoule before and after the mask, finishing with a slightly rich cream I had at home. The next morning, my chapped lips had completely healed! Though it's a bit of a hassle, I've been using it consistently every day. My skin feels less tight, and I think my complexion looks brighter - even some old blemish marks seem to have faded a bit! It's also working wonders on my eczema patches, soothing them without any irritation. Each single-use package comes with powder, ampoule, mixing bowl, and a paper spatula, making it perfect for travel - just add water and you're good to go!
ConsWhile modeling masks are great, their main drawback is the effort required... but beauty is worth it, right? Getting the water ratio right is crucial. I followed the line on the first try, but it was too thick, so I had to add more water to adjust the consistency. The next day, I added too much water from the start, resulting in a runny, gooey mess. After that, I stuck to the line and it was perfect. It's puzzling how the amount can vary so much when the portions should be the same. One downside is that it feels wasteful to throw away the mixing bowl and spatula after just one use. I found out they sell larger sizes too! The bulk option comes with a measuring cup and 10 servings of ampoule and powder, which seems like a good option if the product works well for you. Also, buying multiple sets takes up quite a bit of storage space, which is a bit inconvenient. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the product's effectiveness.
TipsFor even better results, try applying a hydrating cream or mask before the ampoule and modeling mask. (Make sure to apply the modeling mask carefully as it doesn't adhere easily to the skin.) When mixing the powder, adding a drop of the ampoule or some tea tree oil can enhance the soothing effects!

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONProsMy skin type is sensitive combination dehydrated! I tend to react badly when changing products, so rather than looking for something that improves my skin, I'm happy with any product that provides hydration without causing blemishes. I've been stocking up on Mediheal modeling masks since they first came out. Thanks to this product, I discovered Lindsay masks, which I now use more often due to the price. I save Mediheal for when I really want to pamper my skin! 1. While it doesn't give an intense soothing or hydrating sensation upon application, it still feels moisturizing and cool. It does a great job at calming the skin and improving blemish marks. You won't see dramatic results overnight, but I noticed effects with consistent use! 2. I love that they include essence. Mediheal's essence is really good - of course, it's better to apply it all over your face, but I mix some into the mask too. This seems to help the mask peel off more easily once it's dry. It sets faster than Lindsay masks, but comes off super cleanly. While the thin edges around the face are unavoidable, the center part always sets perfectly without fail. 3. The scent is a bit more mud-like than Lindsay masks. Those with super sensitive skin might find it difficult to use. NEW: I noticed quite a difference in packaging between my old stock and recently received products. Comparing them: 1. The amount seems slightly reduced - it was never super generous to begin with, so those who apply thickly might find it insufficient. 2. The disposable spatula shape has changed - the new one seems to fit facial contours better, but it's too short for mixing, so I end up using my own tool. 3. The powder package now has a dome-shaped top, which reduces spillage and allows for neater pouring. 4. Other aspects like essence amount and outer box design remain mostly the same.
ConsIt sets very quickly. Adding more water helps, but even with the recommended amount, it drips while applying, making the water ratio tricky. The packaging seems convenient but is actually a bit awkward.
TipsI recommend using slightly less than the suggested amount of water. Using too little might cause it to set too quickly, resulting in more waste. Too much water makes it drippy and hard to apply, so find your preferred consistency through trial and error. I start by applying it to the nose area, which I find the trickiest, then fill in the rest. Be careful not to spend too much time on one area as it might set, so apply thoroughly but quickly. For best results, try this routine: sheet mask > your usual hydrating ampoule > soothing cream (optional) > Mediheal essence > modeling mask. It works wonders for my skin! This is why I can't give up on modeling masks despite the hassle. When I visited my family during Chuseok after this skincare routine, they asked if I had gotten some professional skin treatment!

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONPros1. Instant Soothing + Cooling - The immediate calming and cooling effect was excellent. Adding a few ice cubes is pure bliss..! Just be careful with water balance if you use ice! 2. Hydration - The hydration itself was great! Skin feels plumped and nourished. 3. Easy Home Care (Spatula Included) - This was my first time using a mix-and-apply mask, and it was intuitive and easy to use. While water balance is key, it's a great advantage to be able to care for your skin so effortlessly! - A spatula for applying the modeling mask is included, so even as a first-time user (without needing to check the product details), I could use it easily. 4. Generous Amount - Both the included ampoule and the mask powder were in ample quantities.
Cons1. Easy but Requires Water Balance Skills! - Even a slight adjustment in water can greatly change the consistency. Too much water makes it runny and increases the volume. Also, it sets quickly, so you need to apply it fast! 2. No Long-term or Noticeable Changes - Like all masks, there were no dramatic visible changes. 3. Thin Edges are Hard to Remove (See Photo 2) - When peeling off after 15 minutes of drying, the thin edges tend to stick as shown. It's a bit annoying as you need to remove these parts with water.
TipsI recommend using only half of the Step 1 ampoule initially, applying the mask for 15 minutes, then peeling it off and using the remaining half of the ampoule. Photos in order: 1: Before first use 2: After first use & edges 3: Before second use 4: After second use 5: After third use

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONProsThe single-use kit was incredibly convenient to use! The cooling effect definitely calmed my skin and noticeably improved my complexion. It's perfect for use anytime, anywhere - would be great to take on a summer vacation!
ConsI wish there were measurement markings for how much water or ampoule to add. Everything else was good, but I often failed to get the water ratio right, resulting in a runny mess.
TipsIf you're looking for something easy to use at home, you might find it more convenient to use modeling mask accessories you already have.

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONProsFirst off, it's great that they recommend using cool water - the cooling effect is fantastic! It's really soothing on heated skin. I've got some blemish scars and small bumps, and on the days I use this, I can definitely see a difference! I wish it came in a larger size. If they had a bigger version, I'd definitely buy it with my own money!
ConsThe amount is just too small, unfortunately. Maybe it's because I'm used to buying modeling masks in bulk, but I find it hard to apply thinly. I end up not being able to cover my nose area before running out. I wish they'd make the packaging like those stick coffee mixes - it would be so much better! As it is now, powder flies everywhere when you open it, and the opening is so wide that it spills easily. A stick format would reduce waste from spilling and flying powder!
TipsThere's plenty of ampoule, so it's great to apply half before the modeling mask and half after! Some say mixing it into the mask is good, but I'm skeptical about how effective such a small amount would be that way. I think it's better to apply it at the beginning and end of the routine!

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONProsThe Hwahae Testers Review This was my first time using a modeling mask. The kit includes a plastic container, disposable paper spatula, ampoule, and powder with a water level indicator, making it easy even for modeling mask beginners. It peeled off nicely too. I could feel both moisture and richness between my skin and the mask. Color: Light gray Texture: <Before mixing with water> Very fine powder. There was some excess powder when opening. <After mixing with water> Thick consistency Scent: Subtle blend of Madecassoside and a slightly oily fish cake scent(?) Effects: I used it to soothe my skin after sun exposure, and it worked well for calming. The cooling effect was also good. The ampoule absorbed nicely! I liked that the ampoule amount was just right.
ConsThe powder quantity feels a bit low. As a beginner, I felt it might not be enough if applied thickly. Also, the paper spatula was difficult to use for application. When I used the exact amount of water indicated, it dripped, so I think using slightly less would be better. There were some clumps when mixing.
TipsIt's perfect if you use about one and a half spoonfuls less than the 50ml water mark!
