It absolutely doesn't smudge! I drew it on the back of my hand and even after rubbing it vigorously 3 seconds later, there was no smudging at all. Plus, it glides on smoothly for easy application. It's too thick, making it difficult to draw a pretty line. If it were just a bit thinner, I would have kept using it... - le*********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesOct 26, 2024
When on sale, you can buy each for about $4. The large quantity is great for smokey eye makeup - you can use it generously without worry. It comes with a built-in sharpener. It smudges like crazy. Absolutely not recommended for people who tear up easily (especially if you're buying it for under-eye use - just get something else). If you do a smokey eye with this and go home, you'll look like you've been crying rivers. Also, it's too long to fit comfortably in a makeup pouch. Not sure if it's because there's lead all the way to the end due to the large quantity, but it's just too long. The color is a bit more muted than I expected. People who like intense smokey looks might find it too light. Try this routine: Clean the waterline with a cotton swab -> Powder the waterline -> Draw the line -> Set with black eyeshadow -> Repeat line -> Set with shadow again -> Apply fixer. This seems to work okay. Also, for those who say the lead is too thick, you might want to try the slim version. This one was specifically designed for people who prefer thicker lines. - th********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 25, 2024
It has great staying power, lasting a long time and resisting water and sweat without easily coming off. When cleansing, it's better to do a double cleanse. You need to be really thorough, even if it's a hassle. After applying skincare and base makeup, if you don't use powder, it might pill. If you don't cleanse carefully, residue can smudge and remain on your skin. If you apply powder meticulously before drawing on eyeliner, it won't pill much. When cleansing, it's better to wash the area where you applied the product, and then use a cleansing water or wipe to carefully remove any remaining traces. - sc*******Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresAug 19, 2024
To be honest, there's not much positive to say as it was really disappointing. The only upside might be the low price, which could make it suitable for beginners to practice with. 1. The color is way too dark. While it might not match my eye color, it goes beyond that - it's just plain black, no other way to describe it. 2. It's extremely stiff. I initially bought it because it glided smoothly when I tested it on my hand, but it feels completely different on the eyes. It's so rigid that it doesn't even move well, let alone draw a straight line. 3. The tip is too blunt. Eyeliner application requires precision, but this one is so thick that drawing a thin line is impossible. 4. It's incredibly hard to remove. Even with eye makeup remover, it wouldn't come off. I tried cleansing oil and foam cleanser too, but it still wouldn't come off completely. In summary: It's extremely blunt and stiff, resulting in a thick, uneven, patchy line that's intensely dark and nearly impossible to remove. - bo*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinInner DrynessRecommendedJun 10, 2024
It definitely doesn't smudge easily and the staying power seems pretty good! I like that you can sharpen it when it gets blunt. For me, it's a bit tricky to sharpen because it's so soft. Drawing with it is also slightly challenging. I'd recommend beginners opt for a brush-tip eyeliner instead. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsMay 26, 2024
The color payoff is definitely more intense and beautiful compared to other eyeliners. It smudged and came off easily, possibly because my eyes tend to be a bit watery. - si*********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 9, 2024
It seems to be the best in terms of value for money. While it's not extremely strong against oil, it's still an eyeliner you can use comfortably without any issues. It's a bit thick, making it difficult to draw fine lines precisely. You need to sharpen it to get a thinner tip, which can be a bit of a hassle. But the price makes up for it! - in********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 21, 2024
I bought this because I wanted to use a vivid black gel eyeliner. The price is affordable, making it even more cost-effective. While it's relatively thick and blunt, making delicate lines challenging, it comes with a sharpener. With some skillful brush maneuvering, you can achieve a sleek look. It sets well on my hand without smudging. However, on my extremely oily skin, it did smudge over time... It wasn't to the point of panda eyes, but it smudged more than brush pens. Still, I'm drawn to it because I miss the texture of gel eyeliners... For those with very oily skin, applying powder first and then touching up with a long-lasting brush pen might reduce smudging. But if you're going to go through all that trouble, it might be better to just use a smudge-proof brush pen on its own... - lo*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 15, 2023
The gel texture is incredibly smooth. It doesn't smudge and stays put, which is great. The delivery was quick, and I'm satisfied overall. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. I plan to repurchase. Recommended. - yj*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 2, 2023
Deep black color. Seems like a good, versatile option for everyday use. It comes off easily (I think?). It's a bit stiff and doesn't glide on smoothly. Also, it tends to clump together. Pro tip: Apply Innisfree No Sebum Powder before using this eyeliner. It prevents smudging and works great!
