Apply generously before bed and wake up with smooth lips, ready for perfect lipstick application as dead skin cells are removed It's a bit inconvenient because you need to apply a thick layer for it to be effective, a light application won't do Make sure to apply a generous amount - im*****Dry SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 16, 2022
The texture is incredibly rich and moisturizing, so a little goes a long way! Plus, when applied before bed, it works hard overnight to smooth away dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling refreshed in the morning. The jar packaging means you need to wash your hands thoroughly each time you use it. I'd recommend using a spatula or applicator instead to keep things more hygienic. I even applied it to my fingernails for extra nourishment. - ch******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJun 20, 2021
It's truly comfortable on the lips and leaves them feeling moisturized after application. It worked wonders when my lips were painfully dry. The scent is quite strong, which can make it challenging to apply, but it spreads easily so it's actually nice to use. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 23, 2021
When you apply it before bed, you wake up with softened dead skin cells that are easy to remove. You don't even need to use it only at night - it's great as a lip balm for daily use in small amounts. It melts gently on your lips, giving a moisturizing sensation. It's a bit sticky, which is disappointing, but I guess that's unavoidable with products like this. Use a cotton swab or spatula to apply it, and make sure to close the lid immediately after scooping out the product. It tends to attract dust, and it can be difficult to use if your nails are long. - to********Combination SkinRecommendedSep 26, 2020
No matter the season, I always needed lip balm to prevent dead skin cells on my lips. I wandered like a nomad searching for the perfect one until I found this during a Missha sale! A sleeping pack for lips? That sounded even more trustworthy... haha! I thought it would be better than regular lip balm, so I bought it! After using it the first night, oh my goodness, my lips were incredibly smooth the next day... It even helped remove dead skin cells by plumping them up! Above all, I loved how it clung to my lips! Other lip balms always felt like they just sat on top, no matter how much I applied. I absolutely recommend this product! Since it's applied with your fingers, it can be a bit tricky to deal with the residue on your hands after use! But I just rub it on the back of my hand... The amount seems a bit small, but I was so satisfied with its performance that I didn't mind! I used it every night before bed, and it lasted about 6 months for me. Some people might be put off by the scent! I'd suggest going to a Missha store and giving it a sniff before buying... While it's great as a lip balm substitute, be careful using it before applying tint - it makes your lips so smooth that the tint might not adhere well! I recommend using it as intended: as a sleeping pack, apply before bed and remove it the next morning. - me**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 14, 2020
📌For those with lips prone to chapping and dead skin cells ♥️Holy Grail Lip Balm (or Lip Mask)♥️ ♥️Texture: Between sticky and runny It's a lip balm/lip sleeping pack that adheres well to the lips without being too sticky or runny, making it comfortable to wear. Among Aritaum lip mask, Laneige Lip Sleeping Berry, Carmex Original, and Vaseline, this one's my favorite. ♥️Lip Sleeping Mask/Lip Mask Comparison (*personal opinion) Lip condition the morning after applying before bed -Aritaum Lip Mask: Too sticky, worried about it getting on pillows or blankets. Especially for a restless sleeper like me. However, the effects are immediate. The next day, all dead skin cells are softened and can be gently rubbed off. -Laneige Lip Sleeping Berry: Worried about it being too moist and running. Effects are gradual rather than immediate, best with consistent use. -Carmex Original: Feels warm when applied to lips. Softens dead skin cells, though not as much as Aritaum. More affordable compared to others. -Vaseline: (From what I remember using it long ago) Sticky, but didn't soften or remove dead skin cells as much as expected. ->Missha Superfood: Not uncomfortably sticky or runny. Adheres well to lips, so I could apply it worry-free before bed. The next morning, gently rubbing removes all dead skin cells. ♥️Effect: Smooth lips Effective even without applying too much. ♥️Dual-use as lip sleeping mask and lip balm Can be used as a thick mask at night Can be applied before makeup to moisturize lips. While I don't carry jar types around (for hygiene reasons), It's not too sticky for a lip sleeping mask, so you could carry it if needed. The texture is that good. 🔥If I had to pick a downside, it's the jar packaging? Jar types can be tricky and bothersome to manage hygienically... But you can use it hygienically with a spatula or cotton swab. Applying it before bed results in moisturized lips the next morning. It's great to apply before makeup, leave it on, then wipe off before applying lip color. - ok**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 24, 2020
I've been using this product after finding it at a great price. It has a pleasant sweet scent, reminiscent of black soybean milk. The generous amount allows for liberal application. The product tends to separate easily, with an oily layer on top. Despite being in a jar, the narrow opening makes it inconvenient to use. - im****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
I felt a desperate need for dead skin cell management while applying matte lipstick, so I decided to give this a try. Since I've only ever used Vaseline for lip care, it's hard to compare it with other products. But compared to Vaseline... it applies more smoothly yet feels lighter, and its hydration power is far superior. When I apply it generously before bed, my lips feel healthier and more supple in the morning. It also reduces the appearance of dead skin cells when I wear matte lipstick. The one downside is the packaging... The design is quite disappointing every time I look at it. I'm not sure why they chose to put four beans on it... It makes it feel even more awkward. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
I got this on sale and it was totally worth it! When I apply it generously at night, by morning my dead skin cells are softened. Just gently rinse with water and you're good to go. Please make the container design a bit prettier. The case looks really cheap. Since it's a hard type, you need to rub it quite a bit to apply it properly. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
Apply it before bed, and in the morning, gently rub the area with a cotton swab. You'll see dead skin cells come off, revealing smooth lips! The affordable price is also a plus! The texture is a bit disappointing. I don't like getting it on my hands, so I just used a cotton swab to scoop it up and apply it. I found that placing a piece of plastic wrap over the lips after application significantly enhances the effect! Also, Missha frequently offers discounts, so make sure to purchase during a sale!
