I got a recommendation for a tightline eyeliner at Olive Young, and since they said it's currently their top-selling eyeliner, I decided to give it a try! The high-elasticity hybrid pen glides on smoothly, and its quick-dry formula means you don't have to worry about smudging after application. That's a win! I was really impressed with how well it lasted - my morning makeup stayed put until evening without budging. The price is reasonable, and the staying power is fantastic. I honestly can't find anything to complain about. As a cosmetics enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for products that work hard for my money. This eyeliner definitely fits the bill! Its ability to create a precise line along the lash line helps define and enhance the eyes, creating that coveted "Inner Glow" effect. For those with super sensitive skin, it's worth noting that I didn't experience any irritation or tingling sensation, which is a huge plus. Overall, this eyeliner seems to strike a great balance between performance and comfort, making it a solid choice for daily wear. - sm*******Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 26, 2025
The color of this product is absolutely fantastic! I used to use darker eyeshadows for my under-eye area, but that often left me looking like a panda with dark circles. This one, however, has incredible staying power that's no joke - I'm in love with it! Unfortunately, it tends to clump up after a while. While the color is truly beautiful, it's a bit on the intense side, making it less natural-looking for a full under-eye line. The quick-drying formula is a double-edged sword - if you make a mistake, it sets so fast that you can't blend it out with a brush. It's stubborn and won't budge! Since it dries quickly, I found a trick: using a flat brush with a tiny bit of water helps to blend it out somewhat. Also, filling in your entire waterline with this can make your eyes look heavy, so just applying it to the outer corner looks prettier and more natural. - yo*********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 23, 2025
The colors are absolutely gorgeous! Candy Dream has a subtle pink-beige tone that's perfect for everyday use, while Mauve Dream is a muted rose shade that's great for creating depth in your makeup look. The pen tip is thin and flexible, making it incredibly easy to create those perfect flicks at the corners of your eyes. It glides on smoothly without any clumping, so even beginners should find it user-friendly. I love that it barely smudges and sets quickly - it even stayed put after a night of drinking! The quick-setting formula means it can be a bit tricky to correct mistakes, so you need to be careful when applying it. Depending on your complexion and makeup style, the color intensity might feel a bit strong for some, which could be slightly disappointing if you're looking for a truly subtle everyday look. Also, due to its pen-type design, the ink flow can be affected by how you store it, so it's crucial to always cap it tightly after use! - am*******Normal SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedFeb 15, 2025
I tried an eyeliner for creating a cut crease look for the first time, and I must say, it was pretty good! This shade would probably suit cool-toned skin better. The liner isn't dry or stiff, and the color payoff is great! When you open and close the cap, it seems to keep smudging a bit on the sides - ji**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJan 27, 2025
I highly recommend this for eyes that are perfect for cut crease makeup! It absolutely stays put and has amazing longevity. It really doesn't budge, and the color is intense and beautiful. There aren't any real drawbacks, but it's so smudge-proof that it's hard to remove with just your fingers. You need to apply it precisely in one go, because if you mess up, it's quite troublesome to fix. - yu***********Dry SkinAtopic SkinInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 20, 2025
It doesn't come off at all! When you blend it, it spreads naturally. The staying power is seriously amazing. The color of the wing matches well, and it comes out smoothly with a generous amount. Wow, this stuff really stays put even with foam cleanser. The new one I bought doesn't budge. I absolutely love it! You need to do the wing and blend it. Apply with your finger or a cotton swab and blend immediately. If you don't blend right away, it dries quickly and becomes impossible to remove! - da***********Combination SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 19, 2024
Great for defining the eyes. The color is pretty, it sets well, and looks natural. It's a bit watery. Before it dries, it smudges easily, but once dry, it becomes stiff and flakes off. - km*********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesRecommendedOct 27, 2024
I bought the Merrimonde Super Tear Pen Eyeliner [06 #MauveTime] from the Ably Merrimonde Market. My skin type is Spring Warm Light / combination dehydrated skin / shade 19. I use this product for aegyo-sal (under-eye puff) liner, lip contouring, and as a tear liner. The actual color is like a plum skin with a hint of pink in a dusty rose shade. It's really versatile as a tear liner and should suit most skin tones unless you have very dark skin. Merrimonde is a trustworthy brand for beginners in tear liner application! For aegyo-sal, it's slightly intense, but I usually use a pink liner + shadow liner combo, so this covers both in one go. If you want a lighter pink, I'd recommend trying their other pink shades instead of #06. It's a bit dark for lip contouring, so if you use lip liners, I'd suggest sticking to regular ones for shading. Not recommended for lip contouring! Unlike some other brands where the pen tip splits easily, this Merrimonde liner has held up well so far (about a month after purchase). That's a big plus in my book! There's not really anything I dislike about it. If I had to nitpick, I'd say its uses are somewhat limited beyond tear lining. But since I can use it well for aegyo-sal too, it's not a problem for me. - 7d********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedOct 9, 2024
This product is a real gem for my small, hooded eyes – it gives me that coveted cat-eye effect! The formula dries quickly, so you need to blend the liner immediately after drawing the wing to avoid harsh lines.
