I tried the newly released marbled product. At first application, it seemed to give a nice finish to my skin. After using it once or twice, my face started to itch. My forehead swelled up as if stung by mosquitoes, with enlarged pores. When I use products that don't suit me, my forehead swells up like it's been bitten by mosquitoes, with visible pore openings. After using this product, my face became itchy, and while washing, I noticed my skin surface was rough and bumpy all over. When I touch it, it feels like blemishes are forming, like tiny bumps. Moreover, after a while, my face turned red, feeling sore and painful. Am I to blame for buying the wrong product? - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 5, 2022
This powder is a true soul mate for your makeup routine. It doesn't alter the foundation's finish, goes easy on dry skin, smooths out texture, and locks your makeup in place like a pro. While the packaging looks pretty, it's a bit disappointing in practice. The raised edges around the product create a structure that encourages hitting pan in the center even faster than usual for this type of product. For a flawless blush application, try dusting a bit of this powder before applying your blush. Or, if you're working with a highly pigmented blush, mix it with this powder using a brush and gently apply for a beautiful, watercolor-like finish without any patchy areas. - tv*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 19, 2022
I've been using this for 3-4 years now! It's perfect for eye makeup and blush application. It also helps control oil and gives a subtle shimmery, dewy finish. There's not much to complain about... If I had to nitpick, maybe some excess powder? But that could be because I've used it so much! I apply it all over my eyes, cheeks, and entire face. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 4, 2021
Portable, effective, and above all, the perfect powder for someone like me who absolutely needs a mirror. When lightly applied over cushion foundation, it doesn't transfer to masks and maintains a subtle glow. It's not suffocating on the skin, and even when it fades, it does so beautifully. I love it so much that when anyone asks for a powder recommendation, this is my absolute top choice, no questions asked! It's pricey, but truly worth every penny. The built-in puff is far too thin to be usable. Unless Nars decides to revamp just the puff, you're better off using a brush to apply the powder. When used with a dewy cushion foundation, it does tone down the glow a bit. In this case, I found that lightly tapping a bit of cushion foundation over the powder helps bring back some of that glow while still keeping oil at bay. It's a great balance! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2021
It controls oil well and feels like fine powder, making it difficult to hit pan anytime soon! It gives a lasting, non-diminishing effect. Only useful for oil control! It has no coverage, so it's hard to tell if you've applied it or not. The case gets messy with use, which is a typical drawback of NARS products. The older version is slightly slimmer but comes with a separate puff, making it inconvenient to carry around. When the case gets dirty, they say you can gently wipe it with a cotton pad soaked in cleansing water! - ca********Dry SkinRecommendedAug 20, 2020
I exclusively use this because it's talc-free. It controls oil without over-drying the skin, and applies in an incredibly thin, transparent layer. The price is quite steep. The case tends to get dirty with use. If you're looking for extreme oil control like with Mehron, this might not be enough. Not recommended for very oily skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 9, 2020
It effectively controls oil and, being a pressed powder, it adheres to the skin much more thinly than feeling like you're covered in flour. It gives a sense of making your skin look translucent and brighter. While it would be nice if it had a bit more coverage, it's used for its transparent effect, so it's fine if you cover some blemishes with concealer and then pat this on with a puff. - bl**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 22, 2020
Even with a quick application using the puff, it creates a truly beautiful skin finish. There's a subtle pearlescent effect that looks even prettier in sunlight. As someone with dry skin, I can't use powders that absorb too much oil, but this compact doesn't make my skin feel overly dry, doesn't cake, and allows for a smooth complexion. Oh, and it provides medium to high coverage for pores too. I might be sensitive to phenoxyethanol because about 30 minutes after applying this, my skin started to itch gradually. By the time I left work, I had red patches in various areas. Before using this, I used MEFŌ and had the same symptoms, so I put it away and bought NARS. The common ingredient in both products is phenoxyethanol. I spent too much money just to find out my skin is sensitive to phenoxyethanol... Even a quick application with the included puff creates a beautiful finish. It doesn't transfer easily, so you need to blend it well. - yu*******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 30, 2020
My skin type is dry, so I need a solid foundation routine. I usually layer on a lot of moisture, so I need a powder to set it. This one is perfect - it's so subtle you can barely tell it's there, which I love. It doesn't dry out my skin if I don't overdo it, and it applies so finely with just the right amount of hydration. It's absolutely perfect when I just touch it on my under-eyes, chin, and cheeks! This has seriously become my holy grail product! The puff it comes with is a bit disappointing, but it doesn't really matter since I apply it with a brush anyway! Pro tip: After applying cushion foundation, just lightly touch this on your chin and under-eyes for a flawless finish. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 26, 2020
It's rare to find a powder or compact that provides a non-cakey finish for dry skin, but this product does just that. It doesn't absorb oil to the point of drying out your skin or causing your makeup to crack. Instead, it controls just the right amount of oil, leaving your skin feeling soft and matte. I've gone through two containers - it lasts a long time and comes in a truly beast-sized quantity! After the product was reformulated, it now includes a puff that looks like a scrap of paper. I absolutely don't use it - it's really not meant to be used. Instead, I just sweep the product on with the other side of the puff after finishing my makeup. When I'm going out, I sometimes touch up using the Blotterazzi from BeautyBlender.
