NARS Pure Radiant Protection Aqua Glow Cushion Foundation - A review as I'm nearly finishing the compact! ✓ The application is neither too oily nor too matte ✓ Still leaves skin feeling silky and moisturized after application ✓ Relatively affordable for a department store brand, especially when many are now over $100 ✓ Doesn't emphasize pores ✓ Likely suitable for most people with average to decent skin, without strong likes or dislikes ✓ Unlike some cushion foundations where changing the puff makes a big difference, this one performs consistently regardless of the puff used • The case looks somewhat cheap and gets dirty easily • With so many high-quality, affordable cushion foundations available these days, this one falls in an awkward spot - neither a luxury department store brand nor a budget-friendly option. Not planning to repurchase for now! When you first open it, be careful not to press too hard or you'll get too much product! It's crucial to use a light touch for better control over the amount. - ha*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJul 2, 2025
The ingredients seem pretty decent. Sometimes I'd crash after work without removing my makeup, falling asleep immediately and waking up in the early hours. Even then, my skin didn't feel particularly itchy or irritated, which was nice. I appreciated that it didn't cause major blemishes or skin reactions. That's definitely a plus! It transfers onto clothes way too easily. I've used E**e's Glow Cushion for 10 years and never once had it stain the collar of a white shirt or blouse. But with this product, I have to be extra careful not to let my clothes touch my face. I even started using a face cover when taking off my clothes (and even then, it still managed to stain my collar - so frustrating! You'll need 2-3 layers of face cover, it's a must-have). Also, for a product that calls itself a "glow cushion," it doesn't give much of a glow at all, which was disappointing. Would I repurchase? Hmm, I'm not so sure... I recommend buying a face cover from Coupang before using this. It really does transfer easily onto white shirts and blouses. - mi******RecommendedJun 29, 2025
For summer cool tones in the 13-17 shade range, the "Namsan" shade gives a beautifully radiant finish that's just right. However, the cushion seems to dry out over time... On the bright side, it fades gracefully. Given the price point, it's not a disappointment. If you have dry skin and don't exfoliate or skimp on skincare, the makeup tends to separate around the nose and T-zone. To get the best results, make sure to properly hydrate your skin and gently exfoliate to remove dead skin cells before application. This will help the cushion apply more smoothly and prevent it from emphasizing dry patches or separating in oily areas. Consider using a hydrating primer or brightening moisturizer underneath for an extra boost of moisture and glow. - da*******RecommendedJun 18, 2025

It absorbs well and gives a nice glow, making your skin look healthy. The coverage is also pretty decent. The refills tend to sell out frequently, making it challenging to purchase when needed. - yh****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 3, 2025
As someone with dry skin, I love how this product is moisturizing and provides good coverage. The color brightens my complexion just enough without being too flashy. I've never experienced any blemishes from using this, and there's honestly nothing I can complain about. - mi*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 2, 2025
It's amazing how this product makes pores disappear and gives such a beautiful skin finish! The lightweight formula doesn't emphasize dead skin cells, which is fantastic. I'm already on my nth refill - that's how much I love it! There are a few downsides: It can feel a bit rich on the skin. The coverage is on the lighter side. The price is steep for the amount you get, which is disappointing. - as***********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresMay 28, 2025
Reviewer's Skin Type: • Combination dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone • Super sensitive skin prone to blemishes from incorrect skincare/makeup application ---------------------------------------- NARS Glow Cushion Foundation Review: • Coverage: 5/10 - While it doesn't provide exceptional coverage, it does a decent job of concealing some redness • Adherence: 7/10 - Minimal transfer and stays put unless you intentionally remove it • Color: 9/10 - The shade is absolutely gorgeous • Breakdown: 4/10 - It tends to break down in an unflattering way • Skin Appearance: 3/10 - Initially gives a semi-glow finish and looks smooth, but as time passes, it becomes increasingly unnatural, almost like a heavy filter • Blemishes: 0/10 - The main reason for this review... About an hour after application, my skin develops numerous tiny pimples or blemishes, which later turn into inflamed, red spots. This led to immediately relegating the product to the back of my drawer. I suspect it's due to pore-clogging ingredients. While the foundation formula seems fine, I absolutely won't repurchase the cushion version. --------------------------------- Overall Assessment: • Repurchase Intention: No • Recommended Skin Type: Dry skin • Not Recommended For: Oily / Sensitive skin This review highlights the importance of patch testing and being cautious with new products, especially for those with sensitive skin. While the initial appearance and color of the NARS Glow Cushion Foundation were appealing, the negative skin reaction and unnatural finish over time make it unsuitable for this reviewer. It's a reminder that what works for one person may not work for another, particularly when it comes to complexion products. - lo*******Dry SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesRecommendedMay 18, 2025
Dry skin. The color is really beautiful and pretty. When first applied, the skin looks smooth and soft. The coverage is also decent. I've used up several bottles. The downfall is that it collapses in a filthy manner. However, when first applied, its unique skin expression is beautiful. - yo***********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedApr 29, 2025
I've been using this product for quite a while now! It's so good that I've repurchased it twice. As someone with acne-prone skin, I tend to invest in pricier, high-quality cushions, but I haven't found anything as great as this one. Even though I have oily skin, it matches my complexion perfectly and doesn't cause any darkening. It covers blemishes well and doesn't trigger breakouts! I highly recommend this to anyone with super sensitive skin and acne concerns who struggles with makeup. There wasn't really anything I disliked about it! The price might be a bit steep, but you can find it much cheaper online compared to department stores. Those with dry skin might find it a bit matte. For a dewy finish, make sure to follow your skincare routine diligently and apply a hydrating moisturizer before using the cushion!
