The NARS concealer was my first foray into concealers! (I once bought a pencil concealer recommended by a friend, but never used it and ended up tossing it.) After leaving it unused for a while, I started using it in earnest when my dark spots became more noticeable in summer. And it's great! I'm about to finish the tube and plan to repurchase, but I'm also considering The Saem concealer since I've heard good things about it too...!! As an entry-level concealer, I've used it so well that I can't think of any downsides. If I had to pick one, it would be the wicked price!! For a natural look, apply only to areas with dark spots under the eyes, center of the forehead, and center of the chin

I love how moisturizing it is and how it brightens my complexion! Usually, I experience darkening after application, but this doesn't seem to do that. Nars concealer is known for its coverage, but I'm not sure about that aspect. I switched to this from another concealer, and while the other one had better coverage, this one is definitely more hydrating. I bought it because it's so popular, and it works great as a highlighter. Since I have fair skin, I sometimes use it as a foundation on the center of my face. For me, it works better as a foundation. The coverage is weak. Being the lightest shade, it seems to be focused on brightening, like a highlighter. But Nars concealer is definitely not the ultimate in coverage. It's more like a moisturizing concealer with moderate coverage. I won't be repurchasing. I have skin around shade 20, and I love how it brightens my complexion. While the coverage isn't extraordinary for such a famous product, it's decent. As expected from a concealer, it's quite thick. I always apply it thinly, wait for it to set a bit, then gently pat it in. I use both Avocado and Chantilly shades. Avocado, which is a shade darker, has a slightly reddish tint, while Chantilly seems to have a subtle yellow undertone. Sometimes when my skin isn't at its best or my nose area is very dry, it can look patchy even with a light application. You really need to be careful from the very first step of your base makeup. Also, considering the price, the coverage isn't exceptionally good. I've used the cheaper Luna concealer before, and this one is much thicker in comparison. I apply it, do my makeup on other areas, and when it's slightly dried, I gently pat it to conceal blemishes.

First off, I have incredibly fair skin - even shade 13 looks dark on me. On top of that, I'm prone to blemishes and have super sensitive skin that reacts badly to concealers with incompatible ingredients. This concealer has the best coverage among all I've tried, plus it has the dry texture I love. The Chantilly shade is the closest match for my complexion. I'm truly in love with NARS! I never thought I'd find such a perfect concealer. Before this, I was a real concealer nomad, always searching for the right one. There are so many factors to consider, but this one ticks all the boxes. The ingredients are great too, causing zero irritation. It's just absolutely fantastic in every way! If I could be a bit greedy, I'd love to see an even slightly lighter shade. It would also be great if they came out with a powder compact version. Also, because of its matte black packaging, I noticed it attracts dust quite easily, even though I'm generally careful with my cosmetics. Other than that, I can't think of any other downsides. For those with extremely fair skin like mine, where most foundations don't match, you can actually use this as a foundation substitute. It didn't cause any blemishes, and it adheres well even when applied over foundations from other brands. It has a slightly yellow base, so while it may not make you look radiant, it's still usable.
