I stumbled upon this product by chance, and I plan to keep buying it. It feels like a luxurious version of Vaseline. It's absolutely fantastic! Apply sparingly, as it can attract dust or pet hair. I recommend using this during the dry winter months. It's also great to use before applying makeup. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 10, 2020
Incredibly hydrating. However, those with oily skin might find it a bit too rich. Not great for oily skin types. The only downside is that it's quite pricey. Apply before makeup - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 29, 2020
As winter approached, my skin became extremely dry and my makeup started to flake, so I decided to purchase this. Despite the price making my wallet wince, it's definitely worth every penny! I'm not a fan of going to bed with too much product on my face, so I cleanse, apply a nice essence or serum, and finish with this as the last step. The next morning, my makeup applies flawlessly! It's versatile too - great to use before makeup application or on its own. I'm really enjoying it! Being a balm-to-oil formula, a little goes a long way in keeping your skin hydrated throughout the night. The price tag is quite hefty, and even online it's not exactly budget-friendly! - dg******Dry SkinRecommendedJan 4, 2020
I finally splurged on an expensive cosmetic product after what feels like a million years. And you know what? It's worth every penny! Who knew makeup could look this flawless? For someone like me with extremely dry skin in winter, this cream is truly a godsend! Nars calls it a multi-balm, and they're spot on - it's multi-functional indeed! I initially went to buy a concealer, but they had me test this first. Surprisingly, I didn't even need the concealer afterwards. What sorcery is this? I've crossed a point of no return, and I'm 100% going to repurchase! If you dislike the thick, sticky feeling similar to applying Vaseline, you might want to skip this. I'm not sure how it would work for those with oily skin, but the texture might not be ideal for them. However, as someone with extremely dry skin - top-tier dryness, if you will - I was amazed by the instant glow it gave my face. The makeup staying power is impressive, and it's freed me from that cracked, parched feeling I usually get in heated rooms. The scent is luxurious and floral, though I can't pinpoint exactly what it is. Maybe it's just the placebo effect of using an expensive product, but it makes me feel good! In any case, I highly recommend giving this a try! I'll update my review after using it for a longer period. Oh, and a little goes a long way. You only need about a pea-sized amount for your whole face, unless your face is the size of a football field! The price... oh, the price. At 128,000 won retail, it's in the 'beg your husband' territory. Even with discounts or the lowest online price, it's still expensive. I took off one star just because of the price! Another thing - it might feel a bit heavy and overwhelming in summer. Even if you have dry skin, you'll still sweat in the heat. You'll need to use about half the amount and focus mainly on your cheeks, then lightly apply the rest elsewhere. It's crucial to adjust the amount you use. Everyone has their own 'right' amount. Be careful not to apply too much, or you might end up looking like you've deep-fried your face! It works wonders on lips too, making them super smooth. But be aware, your lips might flake a bit the next day. This product is amazing for touch-ups. Just dab a tiny amount on your cheeks, pat it in, then touch up with a cushion foundation. Your makeup will look absolutely flawless! I took a photo after applying it before bed, but I'm not sure if the camera captured just how smooth it made my skin look. - ek**********Dry SkinRecommendedJun 27, 2019
- The oil balm texture applies smoothly and moisturizes well - Though the price is jaw-dropping, a tiny amount covers the entire face, so it lasts long - Extremely suitable for dry skin types - Seems appropriate for skin prone to redness too - The difference between applying makeup with and without this product is significant - Skin remains hydrated, not dry, even after wearing makeup for a long time - Highly recommended if you want moisturized, smooth skin with a glow! - Initially, you need to control the amount well; applying too much can make skin look oily - The price is eye-watering - While it's meant to be applied morning and night as the final skincare step, the consultant said it can be used before and after makeup too - For amount control, just barely touch the surface with one finger joint, that tiny bit is enough - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 18, 2019
I've always struggled with periodic blemishes, but I realized it wasn't just about treating them - my skin was severely lacking hydration. That's when I discovered this product. Now I mix it with my morning and evening creams, and it definitely balances the oil and moisture in my skin. I highly recommend this, especially for combination dehydrated skin. Oh, and I love the scent too! The only downside so far? Well, it's pretty obvious - the amount you get for the price. Sigh. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 19, 2019
I bought this cream after a recommendation at the NARS store during winter when my skin was extremely dry. The texture and absorption are excellent. For those with dry skin like mine, applying a rice grain-sized amount before makeup can create the appearance of moisturized skin (though individual results may vary). The price is quite steep, unfortunately. Although they recommend using a rice grain-sized amount, I find myself using twice that. It makes you want to use it sparingly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedApr 14, 2019
Although it's a night treatment, I use it in the morning. I apply just a cotton swab's worth, coating my face, and it really helps my makeup go on smoothly. Being an oil-based product, it might not suit oily skin types. The price is quite steep. - le******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 19, 2019
As someone with dry and super sensitive skin, I'm satisfied just being able to apply this without any major blemishes. The scent is lovely, and it melts in well, allowing me to cover my entire face with just a small amount. The staff mentioned it's good to apply before makeup, but I mainly use it at night. I'm using a spatula from another product since this doesn't come with one. It's expensive, and hard to find at duty-free shops. They usually only sell NARS color cosmetics there. I wish they'd offer skincare products at duty-free too. When the NARS store staff applied this product to the back of my hand, I fell in love watching it melt in smoothly and create a glow. Try it on at the store! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMar 17, 2019
Great for achieving a dewy look! When applied before morning makeup, it prevents foundation from separating and looks fantastic. The price is quite high. The quantity is also relatively small for the cost. While using a small amount is sufficient, the volume-to-price ratio is disappointing. Also, the scent might be polarizing for some users.
