The outstanding value for money and the squeaky clean feeling without any tightness were the best aspects for me. The scent is typical of regular foam cleansers, and its cleansing effectiveness was great. I think men who are used to the squeaky clean feel of standard foam cleansers will really appreciate this product. As for drawbacks... I can't think of any specific ones. However, this squeaky clean sensation might feel drying to some people with different skin types. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJul 26, 2019
After using this, the sebum on my nose area comes up white, so I don't have to forcefully remove it. I can just gently wipe it off with a cotton swab, which is really convenient. I can't say I noticed any particular downsides. Oh, except that it's been discontinued... Since I was most concerned about the sebum on my nose, I focused on rolling the product more in that area when using it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 13, 2018
Folks, I know this might be TMI, but I just realized something while writing this review... It gave me chills! From eye makeup remover to oil, and now even cleanser - I've been using Pond's for everything. I'm totally hooked! I've lost count of how many bottles of eye makeup remover I've gone through, used about 4 bottles of oil, and I'm about to start my 3rd bottle of cleanser! I'll be buying more this week when I have time since I've used it all up... (I wanted to take a pretty bathroom shot for the review, but I always use everything up like squeezing out toothpaste. So I'm substituting with a travel-size photo. Hope it doesn't look too cheap... We all do this, right...?) At this point, Pond's is my #1 choice for cleansing products. I wish they'd sponsor me - it would be an honor for my family! Sorry for the long intro, thanks for bearing with me. Now, let's get to the main point! Cleansing effectiveness: 4.3 out of 5. Just to test, I tried removing makeup with only the foam cleanser. It removed base makeup and eyeshadow well, eyeliner needed two rounds for perfect removal, but it couldn't handle mascara (For mascara, definitely use an eye makeup remover! Pond's one is great for this too). That's why it's 4.3. But if you follow the usual routine of remover-oil-foam cleansing, it's a solid 5 points! First off, I love the natural scent. It seems to have a bit of a mud pack effect - after washing, your skin doesn't feel dry, just thoroughly cleansed and refreshed. I switched to this after using that famous Japanese product (light blue) from Olive Young. Between that light blue one and Pond's black one, I'd vote for Pond's. It's that good! No blemishes, so I'll skip that part! Just hoping the price and quantity stay the same :-) In the morning, I use it mainly on my T-zone. At night, I create rich, dense foam with a bubble net to cleanse my face and neck (When I've worn makeup, I use it with cleansing oil!). When traveling, I just pack lip and eye makeup remover and foam cleanser - that's all I need! - bm*******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 9, 2018
It cleanses thoroughly and effectively. It really pulls out the oil from every nook and cranny of your pores. The cleansing effectiveness is top-notch! It cleanses so well that it can leave your skin feeling a bit dry. After using this, I always make sure to follow up with my 7-skin method for hydration. - cl**********Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 30, 2018
As someone with sensitive skin, I've had issues with most cleansers causing blemishes and itchiness. However, this one has been great even after using it for several bottles. It seems to suit my skin well. I love that it doesn't feel too harsh or ineffective - it leaves my skin feeling just right after cleansing, perfectly refreshed. While it's good overall, the product description suggests it's a deep cleanser that should eliminate things like blackheads. However, I don't find it particularly effective for blackhead removal or pore care. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedSep 3, 2018
It cleanses thoroughly with a rich, fine, and soft lather that feels pleasantly firm on the skin. The scent might be a bit strong for some, but I found it quite nice! When you first squeeze it out, it's extremely thick, so you need to work it vigorously to create a lather. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 8, 2018
I happened to try this by chance, and I must say it's quite impressive when it comes to cleansing effectiveness. It's not bad at all. It doesn't seem to lather up well, and after washing, my skin feels a bit dry and rough. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedAug 7, 2018
Great cleansing effectiveness and affordable price. It's said to have the ability to remove blackheads too. While it's supposed to remove blackheads, I don't think it's incredibly effective for that!! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 26, 2018
It cleanses with a squeaky-clean feeling! My friend with oily skin recommended it, and it really does give that thorough cleansing sensation. Even though I have dry skin, I still enjoy the clean feeling it provides, so I've been buying it in bulk. The price is affordable too. I didn't give it a full rating because it doesn't dramatically improve my skin, but it's still pretty good. First off, my oily-skinned friend recommended this, but I noticed there are three ingredients that might be harmful for oily skin. Since I have dry skin, I occasionally feel a bit of dryness, so I'm looking for something gentler to use just in the mornings. It's best to use a small amount and focus on areas with excess sebum. If your skin feels rough after cleansing, it's likely due to dead skin cells. Try using this cleanser along with exfoliation, and that roughness should disappear. - dl*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresMay 8, 2018
There's nothing good to say... I switched from using a volcanic scoria foam cleanser to this, and it's absolutely the worst of the worst. I thought, 'Oh, it's black' because of its dark color, but then I washed my cushion puff and it turned black! After using it for a few months, my skin completely broke out. Changing my skincare routine didn't help, and neither did going makeup-free. I decided to look into it, and lo and behold - stearic acid and other ingredients I try so hard to avoid are the main components! I double cleanse using cleansing oil followed by a foam cleanser, so using a product with main ingredients that don't mix well with oil has thrown my skin into complete chaos. For reference, I can't even use NARS cushions because of these ingredients...
