I snagged this at a great price during a sale, and I'm loving how it applies! It's wonderfully moisturizing and feels light on the skin. Since it's a physical sunscreen, it doesn't leave a visible cast, which tempts me to apply it quite liberally. I highly recommend this as a sunscreen to use before applying makeup! - qh******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 5, 2025
It's a moisturizing organic tea-based cream that leaves a rich feel on the skin. Highly recommended for those with dry skin, especially during the winter months. When used in summer, it tends to seep into the eyes, causing irritation. However, applying powder completely eliminates this stinging sensation. - so*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedJun 26, 2025
It's hydrating and doesn't leave a white cast The formula has a nice balance of oil and moisture, feeling moisturizing and applying smoothly It works well on bare skin and doesn't cause pilling when used under makeup I think it's a reliable sunscreen that's easy to apply without any fuss Those with oily skin might find it a bit rich - di******Dry SkinSensitive SkinJun 11, 2025
Fortunately, despite my sensitive eyes, this sunscreen didn't cause any stinging, which is impressive for a mineral sunscreen. It also doesn't leave a white cast. The texture is a bit thick. When you apply foundation over it, it tends to pill. Sometimes it even clumps together like dead skin cells. It's not bad when used on its own, but I wouldn't recommend it if you plan to apply foundation afterwards. - wl*****Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 7, 2025
I've always envied people with glowing skin, but when I apply this, my complexion actually glows too! It absorbs well, leaving my skin feeling hydrated. Since it doesn't have any specific brightening effects, I feel comfortable applying a generous amount. There's no noticeable scent, and it doesn't irritate my eyes either. The sunscreen's opening is slightly concave, causing the product to pool there. I think the cap design could use some improvement. - ko******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedApr 27, 2025
The moisturizing feel is quite nice! It's not particularly special, just a decent everyday product. Since I always apply sunscreen before makeup, I prefer creamy, hydrating formulas that don't cause pilling. This one doesn't pill or clump, so it works well for me. It's a solid, reliable choice! With sunscreens, if they really don't suit your skin, you might see blemishes pop up the next day. But with Papa Recipe, I didn't experience any skin issues, so it seems to be a safe option for most skin types. - tw**********Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessApr 25, 2025
- Pleasant, subtle scent (not unscented) - Absorbs fairly well - Leaves skin feeling oily - Wide container opening leads to product waste - Lacks standout features compared to other sunscreens in this price range - bj*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 14, 2025
It's great that there's no white cast at all and no pilling with makeup After application, there's a slight rich feeling, but it's generally okay - do*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 4, 2024
I usually struggle with sunscreens as I have super sensitive skin and can't use just anything due to blemishes. However, this one worked well for me. I love its emulsion-like texture. While the scent isn't overpowering, it lingers until you wash it off. If you're sensitive to fragrances, this might bother you. It does last a long time though. - qk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 23, 2024
I had to use inorganic sunscreens because organic ones made my eyes sting. But I hated how they left a greasy feeling and residue on my hands, so I've been using three tubes of A*farm's stick sunscreen. While that product is good with its gentle ingredients, it still left a slight residue on my face. This one, however, doesn't sting my eyes or leave any residue, so I'm extremely satisfied. Honestly, organic sunscreens always made my eyes sting so much that I doubted their effectiveness. But with this one having an SPF of 50 and +++, I use it with confidence. There are no downsides. Some might have mixed feelings about the slightly unique scent or the complete lack of white cast, but these don't bother me at all.
