[The Hwahae Testers Review] *Usage period: 2 weeks *Skin type: Dry + Sensitive (thin skin with slight redness) [Product Review] *Texture: Milky, opaque with a slight viscosity *Scent: No added fragrance. However, there's a subtle milky and sweet aroma, possibly due to banana, cocoa, and coconut. Personally, I'm not fond of coconut scents, but this one is mild enough that I could use it without aversion. + Absorbs exceptionally well: When I pat a drop on each cheek, it quickly absorbs into the skin. Due to the extreme temperature changes causing sudden dryness, I layered it twice, and it still absorbed rapidly, making it easy to move on to the next skincare step. + Helped with skin soothing, reducing redness, and improving skin barrier: My thin skin is prone to redness during seasonal changes and due to lifestyle factors, and my skin barrier easily becomes compromised. Recently, my skin barrier was damaged, causing redness and a warm sensation, but trusting in the product's effects and using it consistently, my skin has now normalized. I didn't document the process, but my previously red face has returned to an even, fair complexion. Since I only used this serum and a moisturizer, I believe the improvement is due to this product. However, I didn't experience instant soothing - it was more of a gradual improvement over time. I saw results after about 2 weeks of use. + Skin texture seems smoother: While not dramatically visible to the naked eye, I noticed a refined texture when cleansing or applying skincare - something only I would notice, but the improvement is there. + The product seems to have a good oil and moisture balance: As mentioned, being dry-skinned, I was satisfied with two layers, but those with normal or oily skin might find one application sufficient for a good balance. The feel on the skin was well-balanced, not leaning too much towards either hydration or oiliness.
- The dropper feels a bit weak: Sometimes it doesn't work well on the first try, and even when it does, it only draws up enough for one cheek. This aspect was a bit inconvenient. - The price is on the higher side: It seems like a well-made product, and I saw effects in just two weeks, but these days there are so many cost-effective serums on Hwahae alone that I'm hesitant about repurchasing.
I don't have any specific tips, but since it absorbs quickly, those who use multiple serums might find it good as a first step serum. For those with dry skin like mine, layering it twice might give you a comfortable and hydrated feeling until you reach the cream step in your routine.
