The color is quite sheer, so it's not very noticeable on the lips, but the shade itself is really beautiful. It's perfect for when you just want to give your lips a glossy finish. Oh come on, even the Rom&nd Meteor something-or-other does this - why does the product always leak outside the container? It's so frustrating! I absolutely can't stand it! The good review highlights the subtle yet attractive color of the lip product, emphasizing its usefulness for achieving a glossy look. The bad review expresses disappointment with packaging issues, specifically product leakage, which seems to be a recurring problem with this brand and similar products. - a0**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 6, 2025
Skin type: Fair cool-toned, sensitive combination skin (shade 13) As someone with a very fair complexion, I usually stick to light lip colors. But this Peony Ballet shade has become my absolute favorite! Fellow fair cool-toned beauties can relate to the struggle of finding suitable lip colors. It's surprisingly challenging to find high-brightness, low-saturation shades in this world of bold lips. Here's my secret: apply a light base to your lips, then add Peony Ballet as an accent color. Trust me, it's the perfect match for fair cool-toned skin. What's even more impressive is its affordability. The formula isn't overly sticky, doesn't emphasize dead skin cells, and doesn't stain. You can reapply without changing the original color - it's absolutely brilliant! I've included a photo of my favorite light lip colors for reference. There are truly no downsides. Even with similar shades on the market, nothing beats Peony Ballet's value and texture. If you apply a light base lip color like the second shade in the photo, then add Peony Ballet as an accent, you'll instantly achieve that perfect fair cool-toned lip look. For cool-toned individuals who aren't as fair-skinned, Peony Ballet could work well as a base lip color since it's not too intense. In any case, it's highly recommended for all cool-toned skin types! - hu**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 6, 2025
This is a reliable, go-to gloss that gets the job done. It's perfect for toning down bold lip colors when you want a softer look. Just apply this over your lipstick, and it nicely mutes the intensity. I love that it doesn't stain my lips! The color was surprisingly muted (kind of dull?) and it felt sticky on my lips. Also, a lot of product comes out each time you use it, making it tricky to control the amount you apply. - 20******RecommendedJul 5, 2025
I apply this as my go-to bare lips look every single day. It's truly a legendary "bunny lips" effect! It's so moisturizing and gives such a beautiful glow that when I don't wear it, people ask if I'm feeling under the weather. But I'm more than satisfied with it! I absolutely adore Rom&nd. If you were expecting long-lasting wear due to its hydrating nature, you might be a bit disappointed. Also, there's a slight tendency for the product to leak from the container. - kz********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJul 2, 2025
The color and application are fantastic, and since it's a gloss product, the shine is crucial - it's even prettier than I expected! As with most glosses, the staying power is definitely lacking. If you're not careful with the application... you might end up with that mature "auntie lips" look. - yu*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRednessRecommendedJun 28, 2025
Perfect for daily use! It's gorgeous when applied over a dark base lip color. Even after exfoliating my lips, it still tends to settle into lines and flake a bit. This lipstick seems to have both pros and cons. While it's great for everyday wear and looks beautiful over a darker lip base, it may require some extra prep to avoid settling into fine lines. For best results, make sure your lips are well-moisturized and smooth before application. - pa*************Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedJun 26, 2025
As a student, I can't wear heavy makeup, but this shade is so natural that I can use it daily without feeling self-conscious. It's also great as a base lip color! The way it fills in fine lines is absolutely fantastic. The staying power is a bit disappointing, and it's stickier than I expected. When it's windy, my hair keeps getting stuck to my lips... sigh. - qk**************Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 26, 2025
The tint has a super cool, youthful pink vibe! The color payoff isn't bad at all. When you apply it at school, it goes on subtly enough that you won't get caught by the disciplinary committee. Unfortunately, the staying power isn't great. It tends to disappear pretty quickly after application. I'd recommend using it alone only if you're going for a really fresh, youthful look. It looks much prettier when you layer it with other products. - sb********Dry SkinRecommendedJun 25, 2025
The color is absolutely gorgeous, and it looks beautiful as a base layer too. This product is so amazing that I honestly can't find any flaws. It's refreshing to find a product that excels in both color and versatility. The shade is not only visually appealing but also performs wonderfully as a base, enhancing your overall makeup look. The fact that there are no downsides speaks volumes about its quality and effectiveness. It seems to work hard to meet all expectations, making it a standout in your beauty routine. - an************Oily SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 24, 2025
Color & Mood: Peony Ballet is a translucent strawberry pink that gives a fresh and delicate impression. It's especially recommended for light and cool skin tones, adding a natural vitality even to bare lips. This lip gloss is a daily go-to for its ability to enhance your complexion effortlessly. The color blends seamlessly with your natural lip tone, creating a sheer tint. Even a single application breathes life into your lips with a subtle pink hue. Layer it for a more vibrant, plump pink look. Texture & Feel: Formulated with high-viscosity wax and ultra-hydrating essential oils, it adheres without stickiness, creating an 'angelic shine' that smooths out lip lines. The plumping effect makes your lips appear fuller. With a moisturizing yet lightweight texture like a lip balm, it doesn't feel heavy even with multiple applications. The glossy finish, reminiscent of candied fruit, lasts impressively long. Longevity & Drawbacks: Unlike a lip tint, it doesn't deeply stain the lips. Its transparent color blends with your natural lip tone, so frequent reapplication is recommended. After meals, both the shine and color fade, requiring touch-ups to maintain the pretty lip look. It may leave a slight white cast on the lips, and those with defined lip lines might notice some bleeding. The tip is to blend it naturally. Layer it over lipstick or tint for a glossy, candied fruit-like lip, or wear it alone for a natural, vibrant look. It doesn't feel heavy even with multiple layers, so adjust the transparent shine and pink tint as desired. Highly recommended for cool tones, light skin, and those who love a delicate pink lip! Versatile enough to use as a lip balm or to create a moisturizing, glossy lip makeup look.
