As I have combination skin, my U-zone tends to be dry, so I applied this as the last step before bed. When I woke up in the morning, my skin felt hydrated and the rich texture was just right for me! In the mornings, I only use about 3-4 extra drops on particularly dry days. I have super sensitive skin, but this works well for me. I'm usually quite cautious since I've had allergic reactions to Dr. Jart and Kiehl's samples in the past, which completely irritated my skin. If you're not a fan of products with a rich texture, this might not be the best fit for you! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 27, 2019
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I was hesitant to use face oils, but this product shattered my preconceptions! It's not too sticky and maintains hydration well. It's perfect for year-round use, except summer, when you just need to adjust the amount. When applying before bed, it's best not to use too much. If you get overzealous, it can mix with sebum and impurities released during sleep, potentially causing small blemishes. While it's great for evening moisturizing, it truly shines when you mix a drop or two with your foundation. It gives you that coveted Inner Glow that's absolutely stunning! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 18, 2019
I started using this product when psoriasis appeared on my face, and after applying the camellia oil, it improved so much!! When I consistently apply it after washing my face, my skin definitely becomes more hydrated. For those who say 'I have extremely dry skin! Regular moisturizers don't work!', I think it would be worth trying this product. Downsides... there aren't really any, but people who dislike oily textures might not enjoy it. Since it's camellia oil, it feels a bit slick and doesn't give that instant absorption feeling when you apply it. If you apply toner before bed, then two drops of camellia oil, followed by a generous amount of moisturizer, your skin becomes really hydrated. However, be aware that if you apply too much camellia oil, it might still feel slick the next day. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedNov 11, 2018
After applying toner, even when I use a moisturizing cream, my face still feels a bit tight. But when I mix in this oil, there's no tightness at all! I apply one drop each on my forehead and cheeks. However, since it's definitely an oil, it makes your face quite shiny, so I only use it at night before bed. When I wake up in the morning, my face is super glossy from the mix of 'my natural oils + the product oil'. In the morning, my face is literally dripping with oil, but I don't get any tiny bumps or blemishes at all. I've noticed that when I wash my face in the morning, my skin feels less dry on days I've used this oil mixed with cream compared to nights when I've only used cream. I even use this until early summer because my skin is so dehydrated! None whatsoever Mix it with your cream or emulsion. If you apply the oil alone, it doesn't absorb well. - ot*******Dry SkinRecommendedApr 12, 2018
When winter comes, if I don't use this, my face gets insanely dry and tight to the point of stinging. I have extremely dry skin, and an esthetician recommended camellia oil. I tried it once and it was a game-changer. I've been using it for 3 years now. At first, I used other products, but when the prices went up, I switched to this more affordable option and have stuck with it. The ingredient is 100% camellia, so I use it with peace of mind. If you have no blemishes and truly dry skin, you can't escape this product once you start using it. It's like a drug, haha! In winter, I apply it generously, in spring I use it sparingly, skip it in summer, and start using it again in fall. As with any oil product, it starts to smell rancid after opening and some time passes. It seems to oxidize, which makes me uneasy about applying it to my face. I wish they would make it in smaller quantities. Those with oily skin should avoid oil products - since it's oil, it might make your skin look greasy. A month or two after opening, since it's a natural oil product, I didn't want to apply it to my face anymore. Instead, I use it on my hair ends, heels, and elbows, which makes them soft. For someone like me who has dry skin from head to toe, it's great as an all-over body moisturizer. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 10, 2018
I always worry about dryness, so I mix this with my cream. The difference between days I use it and don't is dramatic. I trust 100% in camellia oil and use it religiously. Being used to fragrant cosmetics, I initially struggled to adapt to its scent. You need to be more careful when applying and massaging it in for makeup to work well over it. So I mainly use it generously at night before bed. - le**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinOct 2, 2017
Despite being an oil, it's less sticky and not as greasy compared to other face oils. When mixed with your final cream step and applied before bed, it definitely leaves your skin feeling hydrated. A light application before makeup gives your face a beautiful glow. It might not suit oily skin types, and although it's an oil, it drips easily like water. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 7, 2017
This product has been a hit with my whole family. My sister with dry skin uses it on her face, while my parents apply it to their hair. It seems like it would be great for those with dry skin, reducing skin tightness. For those with severely damaged hair, consistent use could be really beneficial. While there's no issue with using the product itself, sometimes it arrives with the dropper inserted crookedly. As for me, I have an oily scalp but undamaged hair that's prone to static. I've tried using it a few times to combat the static, but it made my hair look unwashed, so I've stopped using it. - il******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 12, 2017
A lightweight oil with a dropper that dispenses the product in a fluid manner. Despite having combination skin, I experienced some tightness after use. It's fragrance-free. I'm currently using it as a first essence plus oil. Initially, I may have used too much (due to its runny texture). After applying it as just an oil following my first essence, a red blemish appeared on my cheek within an hour. I washed my face and reapplied. Fortunately, no more blemishes appeared after that. When my makeup started to look cakey, I mixed a drop of this with my foundation for touch-ups, and it gave me a honey-like glow. Not sure about the longevity though. - pi********Dry SkinFeb 26, 2017
This lightweight oil is versatile - you can mix it with other products or apply a few drops to dry areas after your skincare routine. I love that it's unscented, unlike some camellia oils that smell like sesame oil. After using it overnight, my skin looks plump and radiant in the morning, as if it's improved. It seems to help lock in moisture while you sleep. Like many other cosmetics, it can occasionally cause a slight stinging sensation if applied too close to the eyes. For winter makeup, when foundation or BB cream might crack or flake, try mixing a drop of this oil on the back of your hand with your base product. It helps maintain a dewy finish and prevents dryness. Highly recommended for those with dry skin!
