The ingredients worked well for my sensitive combination skin. It's convenient that there's a built-in compartment for the spatula, making storage easy. Everyone agrees it's expensive. It's cheaper during sales, but it's easy to miss the timing. It's said to work well when used with retinol. For sensitive skin, it might be best to mix it with another cream to help your skin adapt. I also started with a small amount at first, and although my skin became a bit blotchy initially, it adapted and improved over time. - hy*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 18, 2025
The moment you apply it, you can feel the nourishment sinking deep into your skin without any greasy residue. It's an excellent cream for those concerned about elasticity and wrinkles! While it's more affordable compared to department store cosmetics, the price still makes you hesitate to apply it generously. If it were just a bit cheaper, I'd love to slather it on like a sleeping pack before bed. Applying this cream and then putting on a collagen mask before sleeping results in amazing skin condition the next day. - jd******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedFeb 22, 2025
The texture is not too thick, more like a hydrating moisturizer - creamy and moisturizing. It has a light pink color and a strong fragrance. While it's not as heavy as a dry skin cream or nourishing cream, it does have a rich feel, so those with oily skin should apply it sparingly. When I applied it in thin layers, I didn't experience any blemishes. The next day after application, my skin feels silky smooth. I'm on my second bottle and using it well. It's great for alternating with other creams. I'm using it with the feeling of early prevention before wrinkles appear. The price is quite high, so it feels a bit wasteful to use it liberally. The strong scent might be hit or miss for those with super sensitive skin. - jo******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 9, 2025
I first discovered this through YouTuber Jeina's recommendation. As I entered my 30s, I noticed a significant drop in my skin's elasticity, and that's when I became serious about anti-aging and started using this. The results have been so good that I keep repurchasing it (I think I'm on my 5th or 6th jar now). It's on the pricier side, so I stock up during group buys. The texture is somewhere between a hydrating cream and a nourishing cream. It's moisturizing but not too light. You can feel the hydration, but there's also a slight weight to the formula. It's a cream type that applies smoothly and absorbs into the skin without feeling heavy. My skin type is dry with deep dryness, and I occasionally get milia, especially around my mouth area which tends to be dry. With other creams, I always had to layer 2-3 times around my mouth, but with this cream, one application is enough to keep it moisturized. It feels like it completely tackles the dryness. I love how my skin still feels hydrated even after waking up. After using it consistently for over a year, I really noticed an improvement in my skin's density. It has a floral scent? There was a period when it had a divisive scent, almost like men's cosmetics, but I heard they changed the fragrance based on consumer feedback. The Matrixyl ingredient is said to activate skin cells, helping with the absorption of other functional products. I use it only for night care, and the difference in my skin texture in the morning between days I use it and days I don't is quite noticeable. It might feel a bit rich if used in summer, but for dry skin, I think it provides great moisture. I keep repurchasing this product because it's great for improving skin density and providing long-lasting hydration. If you buy it at full price, it's definitely on the expensive side. I recommend purchasing during group buys. I felt that using it together with retinal (Dr. Different) maximized the skin texture improvement effects. During my morning cleanse, I noticed my skin felt incredibly soft and smooth. Good stuff. - 2n********Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 15, 2024
I bought this based on YouTuber Jeyna's recommendation and I'm using it for my night care routine. My skin type is combination dehydrated with dry cheeks and an oily T-zone. I'm on my second bottle now, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. When I apply it before bed on nights when I have blemishes, they're significantly reduced by morning! At first, I found the scent a bit off-putting. Also, the price is quite steep, which is a bit of a drawback. - l_*****Dry SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedDec 3, 2024
Texture: Gel-like soothing cream formula Application/Absorption/Feel: Glides on smoothly with a very slight stickiness Skin Changes: Using consistently for its anti-aging benefits Pros: Comes with a spatula under the lid for hygienic application Purchased at a discount through YouTuber Jeina's market Cons: Woke up with slight blemishes after the first night of use. Now applying a thin layer for peptide benefits, followed by a ceramide-rich cream. Slightly disappointed by the lack of immediate visible results Recommend applying a small amount to avoid potential breakouts Buying through the market offers savings - wa********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedOct 29, 2024
The hydration and moisturizing effects are fantastic. I applied it every night before bed, and my skin became deeply nourished. The downside is that it's a bit pricey, so I usually have to buy it through group purchases to make it more affordable. - si*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinOct 9, 2024
All the skincare products I've used before were truly gentle giants. But this Matrixyl cream? The moment I sniffed it, I started coughing and got a headache. How is this even possible? I thought French products were intense, but this is on another level! For now, I've decanted 10 grams into a smaller container and I'm using it bit by bit. It absorbs well, but I'm using such a tiny amount that I can't really tell the effects yet, haha! They reformulated it due to fragrance issues, and this is what we get? I can't bring myself to use it... Is there enough merit to this product to endure such a strong scent? I dare you to find something more potent than this! - di*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedSep 27, 2024
You need to control the amount well to avoid blemishes. My skin texture has improved so much that I plan to keep using it. Even though I apply only a small amount to prevent breakouts, it's still sufficiently hydrating. The key is controlling the amount. If you apply too much, you might get blemishes. - Hwahae UserDry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedMay 5, 2024
Peptides are a must-have for those over 40! I have severe dry skin, dark spots, and deep smile lines, but since discovering La Jeuneur, I've become a true believer. I learned about it through YouTuber Jeina, and it had exactly the ingredients I needed. I've lost count of how many bottles I've used already. It's definitely effective for firmness and wrinkles, and the silky application feels amazing. In winter, I layer it twice before bed, and wake up with moisturized, honey-like skin. At first, I bought single bottles from La Jeuneur's website, but now I set notifications for Jeina's group buys to stock up on three at a time. It's become my holy grail product. If you're over 40, you absolutely must use Matrixyl - actually, even if you're in your 30s, start early! When I first used it, the scent was quite strong, like a men's cologne. As someone who gets uncomfortable eyes even with just sunscreen and is sensitive to fragrances due to allergies, it made my eyes sting and my nose hurt. It was quite uncomfortable. But because it was so effective for my skin, I gradually increased the amount I used. After finishing several bottles, I think my nose has adapted... Now I can apply it generously without noticing the scent much. However, my husband still says I smell like men's skincare. I really wish they would improve the fragrance. Matrixyl works best when used after products containing retinol, vitamin C, or niacinamide in your skincare routine. It helps to enhance the effectiveness of the products applied before it. I've heard it acts like a signal booster, helping your skin better absorb the previous products you've applied.
