One-line summary: If you're looking for a gentle, low pH foam cleanser that leaves your skin hydrated even after washing, I strongly recommend Real Barrier Cleansing Foam! Pros: Real Barrier Cleansing Foam features a low pH (5.5) formula with a creamy, soft texture. It contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid, so your skin doesn't feel tight after cleansing, and the moisturizing effect lasts as if you've applied a cream. The MLE® skin barrier formula and bubble cream technology not only provide deep cleansing against external pollutants like fine dust and yellow dust but also protect your skin barrier. Its light, fluid texture creates fine, soft bubbles when massaged with hands, cleansing gently without irritation. This makes it suitable for daily use, even for those with sensitive or dry skin. The large tube (220ml) offers great value for money and is convenient for long-term use at home. The fluid texture can lead to overuse if you're not careful with the amount. Be cautious not to squeeze too hard, as more product than expected might come out. Those who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling might find it less refreshing, and it requires a separate makeup remover for heavy makeup. People with very oily skin or those seeking a strong deep cleanse might find its cleansing power too gentle. When used as a daily cleanser morning and evening, it smooths skin texture, and there's almost no deep dryness even if you don't apply toner immediately after washing. On days with high fine dust levels, it works well as a second cleanser. On regular days, it's sufficiently moisturizing as a standalone cleanser. Due to its fluid texture, using a foam net can create richer, denser bubbles. On sensitive or dry days, applying a moisturizer right after cleansing can maximize the skin barrier protection effect. - sh*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 21, 2025
✔️ Skin Type Dry + Sensitive / Dry in the morning, tight feeling after using cleansing foam at night ✔️ Usage Period Over 2 weeks / 1-2 times daily (morning and evening) ⸻ 🌿 Advantages • Cream-like soft texture When first squeezed out, it truly has a 'cream-like texture' that applies smoothly without irritation. I could use it worry-free even on sensitive days. • Sufficient cleansing power without tightness after washing! Usually, gentle cleansers are either weak in cleansing or dry if they leave skin squeaky clean. Real Barrier maintains a good oil and moisture balance. It leaves skin feeling refreshed + hydrated without any squeaky or slippery residue! • Slightly acidic + skin barrier ingredients With a pH of 5.5, it's gentle on skin, and contains ceramides, panthenol, and madecassoside. It feels like the skin barrier remains intact even after cleansing. • Safe for sensitive/acne-prone skin Fragrance-free & without allergens, it didn't cause any blemishes. Without potentially irritating ingredients like AHA or BHA, it's truly perfect for daily use. 1. Insufficient for removing heavy makeup As a gentle cleansing foam, it requires a separate remover for waterproof products or tints. Recommended for second cleanse or morning cleanse! 2. Average amount of foam It's not an extremely rich foaming type, so using a foam net or mixing with a bit more water makes it much softer and less irritating. • Perfect for solo morning cleanse / second evening cleanse Especially when skin is sensitive or the oil-moisture balance is off, this product alone left my skin comfortable after cleansing, without redness or tightness. • Foam net creates a dense cream foam! While hands work fine, using a foam net creates a truly whipped cream-like dense foam. It's much better for reducing skin irritation too. - he********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 21, 2025
[Skin type: Extremely dry hands, dry feet, extremely dry lips, oily scalp, combination dehydrated facial skin, dry body] [Skin tone 23-24, concerned about makeup settling into under-eye wrinkles, lip line pigmentation, brown dark circles, good skin texture but worried about pores, minimal blemishes but severe redness on cheekbones] • There's a subtle powdery scent • Being slightly acidic, it doesn't produce rich or abundant foam, but rather a fine, delicate lather • No irritation during cleansing • Average cleansing effectiveness • Skin doesn't feel overly tight after washing • No redness, blemishes, or irritation after use There are no real drawbacks. However, it seems more suitable as a second-step cleanser rather than for use on its own. - gu******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 8, 2025
It provides great hydration, leaving my skin feeling moisturized. I appreciate that it's not too harsh on the skin. If you have oily skin, it might feel a bit heavy during the summer months. - ju****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinInner DrynessRecommendedJun 7, 2025
After using cleansing foam daily, I noticed my skin was struggling and my skin barrier seemed to be weakening. While searching for a gentler product, I discovered Aestura's AtoBarrier 365 Bubble Cleanser, which I really enjoyed. Although I was very satisfied with that product, I was looking to switch my foam cleanser during winter and wanted something with an even more hydrating finish. That's when I came across Real Barrier Cream Cleansing Foam. Real Barrier Cream Cleansing Foam contains proprietary ceramides and has a slightly acidic pH. Because of this, even after cleansing, my skin felt as comfortable as if I had washed with a cream mixed in! I think the "coco" in the ingredients list refers to coconut, which might explain why it feels so moisturizing. Given its cream-plus-cleanser feel, I think those with dry skin will find it particularly comfortable to use. While I used this product well throughout the winter, its gentle finish made me wonder if it was cleaning effectively enough. It might feel slightly heavy as a cleansing foam during summer. When my super sensitive skin feels irritated or dry, I always start with Hiya Cleansing Water for my first cleanse, then finish with Real Barrier Cream Cleansing Foam. Ending with the cream cleansing foam seems to slightly reduce that tight, irritated feeling caused by dryness! - sm*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityJun 5, 2025
True to its name, it feels like you're massaging cream onto your face, which made me wonder about its cleansing power. But as I rolled it on, a gentle foam appeared, leaving my skin feeling cleansed without that dry, tight sensation. At first, I used too much product because the foam didn't develop easily. With practice, I found that adjusting the water amount helped create more lather. Its gentle formula makes it a great option for morning cleansing routines. Despite claims of excellent cleansing effectiveness, I didn't feel that refreshing clean sensation - perhaps due to its creamy texture. I also found it challenging to get used to the consistency. Even though it's marketed as a low pH product, the lack of foam made me use more product than I'd like. When choosing a cleanser, it's important to consider your skin type and concerns. While this product may work well for those with sensitive or dry skin who prefer a gentler cleanse, it might not satisfy those looking for a deep clean feeling. Remember, cleansing effectiveness doesn't always equate to how "squeaky clean" your skin feels - sometimes a milder approach is better for maintaining your skin's natural balance. - im******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 31, 2025
I bought this for my morning cleanse and as a second step after deep cleansing. While it's a foam cleanser, it seems to prioritize skin protection and maintaining a slightly acidic pH - exactly what I've been looking for. It doesn't produce much lather, and you feel the gentleness before the squeaky-clean sensation. Naturally, this means you need to rinse a bit more, and it's far from that super-clean feeling. As my skin becomes increasingly dry, this product is just right for me. If you prefer that squeaky-clean feeling or need something to remove makeup, this might not be the best fit for you. This gentle cleanser is ideal for those with sensitive or dry skin looking for a mild, non-stripping option. It's great for maintaining your skin's natural balance while still providing effective cleansing. Remember, a cleanser doesn't need to foam excessively or leave your skin feeling tight to be effective - sometimes a gentler approach is best for long-term skin health. - eu*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 23, 2025
This is a case where I tried a sample, loved it, and ended up purchasing the full-size product. I originally had combination dehydrated skin, but as I've gotten older and the weather's been changing drastically lately, my skin has been getting drier. A friend recommended this, and I gave it a try - it's truly gentle and amazing! It's a cream type, but it has a rich texture like a nourishing cream. The foam is plentiful but not too dense. It's incredibly hydrating and moisturizing, so I was curious how my skin would feel after cleansing. Surprisingly, there was no tightness long after washing. The hydration is seriously impressive! Even better, my skin felt amazing the next day. My makeup seemed to apply more smoothly, and my skin felt as soft and bouncy as a baby's bottom. It was like discovering a whole new world of foam cleansers. And to top it off, even the ingredients are gentle! How is this possible? I highly recommend it! There wasn't really anything I disliked about it. If they came out with a larger size, I'd be even more tempted to stock up! - eu*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 18, 2025
After cleansing, the refreshed feeling lasts and my skin has improved! The foam did not lather well, and using a small amount for cleansing left a feeling of residual oil. - im*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 8, 2025
I used to only use this product in the mornings, relying on a deep cleanser at night due to makeup. However, since the deep cleansing foam sometimes caused a tingling sensation, I started using this product in the evenings too. Surprisingly, I haven't experienced any blemishes, which suggests it effectively removes makeup residue. Most importantly, my skin feels incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend this for combination dehydrated skin or dry skin types! If you're looking for an intense deep cleansing product, this might not be sufficient. Nevertheless, I'm completely satisfied with it. When wearing makeup, don't use this as your sole cleanser. It's essential to use it as a second-step cleanser. First, remove your makeup with a primary cleanser (like an oil or cream), then follow up with this product!
